The Casa Del Castaneda

The Casa Del Castaneda
Arrogance

Paloma stared at the ruler Casa del Castaneda. He protested indirectly. A punishment as miserable as getting into a mental hospital. Work and serve there without getting paid. I don't know what it's called if it's not slavery. That's how crazy a Sebastian Cruz Castaneda is, just because a banquet that doesn't go as smoothly as usual.

“Are you aware of the one you just said, Mister?” Paloma's question sounded full of emphasis. The young woman certainly did not accept the arbitrary attitude of the man in front of her.

“That's already the lightest punishment for you,” Sebastian replied coldly.

“If it is the lightest punishment, then what is your toughest penalty like to the people who do wrong in this place?” Paloma's question this time sounded like a challenge.

“You won't like it, Paloma,” Sebastian said, calling the name of the woman in front of him with a tone that still sounded cold.

“No one will like punishment, Sir. Moreover the punishment does not make sense as you gave this time,” protest Paloma. He was not afraid of facing Sebastian at all. Either Paloma forgot his position or because he felt tired of all the bad things he had experienced. “Excuse me from here!” pinta the owner of the hazel eyes firmly.

“How dare you speak in such a tone before me!” sebastian jolts, makes Paloma flinch. The young woman moved back slowly, as Sebastian moved from his seat. He doesn't know what Sebastian's going to do, after a fight like that.

“Where do you have this much courage?” Sebastian's eyes were not too sharp, but it felt so piercing for Paloma. The man's tone also sounded terrifying. “How big is your guts so dare to challenge and refute all my words?”

Paloma did not answer. He only looked at the man with a tall, firm posture before him. The brunettes woman's eyes reflected a dislike for Sebastian's attitude.

“Why are you silent? Are you at a loss for words against me?” sebastian Smirk. “You don't know what I can do to a dissident like you,” threatened the man with emphasis.

“Do you have no other job, so you have to bother taking care of a waiter like me?” paloma retorted cynically, making Sebastian momentarily link his brows.

Sebastian's gaze was sharp. Slowly, he moved backwards. Keep a distance from Paloma who kept looking towards him. “You're getting bolder. Aren't you afraid if I aggravate your punishment?” threaten Sebastian with a voice that sounds so deep.

“What cross? You're not letting me get out of here. That means, I have to accept it willingly,” Paloma said. A moment later, he nodded. “Can I leave this room?” tanyanya slow.

“Go. Remember one thing. You will serve your sentence from today,” Sebastian asserted. He went back to the desk and sat behind it. Sebastian immediately busied himself with the laptop. He didn't care even though Paloma was still there.

Seeing Sebastian's attitude, Paloma did not want to linger in the man's office. Without saying much, the twenty-five-year-old woman rushed towards the door. He then left the place that felt stifling earlier.

Paloma walked slowly. He walked down the long corridor with a glaring gaze ahead. His intention to solve the problem with Rafael, it makes him stuck in other problems. I don't know for how long he'll be locked up in a fancy building called Casa del Castaneda.

“Aunt Theresa,” murmured Paloma slowly. She mentioned the name of the woman she had thought of as her biological mother. “What should I do?” Paloma stopped his steps. He leaned for a moment on the front corridor wall of the garden fountain. For a while, the woman with the floral dress noticed the beautifully moving water adorning the open garden in the middle of the building.

“Paloma,” greet Martin. The man walked closer.

Paloma that is leaning, immediately straighten the body. He forced a smile at the man who had just taken off his fedora hat and held it. “You're not going to the plantation?” ask Paloma wonder.

“Now it's time for lunch break,” Martin said. “Why are you still here? Have you eaten?”

Paloma shook his head slowly. The woman smiled back. “I just finished with Mr. Sebastian,” he said sluggishly.

“How? Instead, we'll talk over lunch,” Martin. Reflex, he grabbed Paloma's hand. The man led her to the kitchen. Martin took Paloma to lunch together there, in a special place for the Casa del Castaneda workers.

A strange look should Paloma receive from the fellow maids who will also do lunch. It made Paloma feel sad. However, Martin hinted for him to remain ordinary.

After taking a portion of the meal, the two chose a place to have lunch together. There, Paloma told me everything that happened. Starting from an examination with a psychiatric doctor, to a conversation with Sebastian that ended in a punishment decision that he had to live.

“What? How can you possibly work here without receiving any wages at all?” Martin doesn't believe Paloma.

“That's Mr. Sebastian's decision. His pride was so hurt by my actions at the banquet last night,” said Paloma slowly.

“This is impossible. Mr. Sebastian is not such a person,” refuted Martin doubted the decision that had been taken by the employer.

“Gosh.” Martin clucked slowly. “If you want, I'll try to talk to Mr. Sebastian. Who knows if there is lightening for you,” bargain.

“No need, Martin. I don't want anyone to risk it for me. I will face everything as hard as I can,” reject Paloma smooth, then continue his lunch until it runs out.

Just as Paloma was about to clean the dirty dishes he had eaten, Matilde, the vice butler, walked hurriedly into the dining room. “Paloma? Where is Paloma? There was a mention that Paloma is here,” he exclaimed in panic.

“I, Mistress.” Paloma, which initially faced the sink, immediately turned around. However, before he reached Matilde, Martin had already blocked his steps. The handsome man focused his attention entirely on the vice butler.

“What are you looking for Paloma, Mrs Matilde?” asked Martin with a serious look.

“It's about Mr. Sebastian. He ordered me to tell Paloma to clear the ground floor hall right now,” Matilde replied with a hunting breath. “Now too!” reworked.

“Gosh! I'm not deaf,” grumbled Martin.

“I know, but .. Mr. Sebastian told Paloma to head to the hall right now. His face was not friendly at all. Frankly, I've never seen him like that,” fret Matilde.

“With whom will Paloma clean a hall room of that size?” ask Martin again.

“I don't know. Mr. Sebastian said nothing more,” Matilde replied.

“Good. I'll take you to the warehouse to get some cleaning supplies. After that, I showed you the way to the hall,” Martin said gently to Paloma.

“Kurasa ... it's not your job, Martin,” sidelines Matilde carefully. “You're foreman on the estate. For cleanliness and servants, it is not your responsibility.”

“Hey, you are not entitled ...”

“Already, Martin. I'll find the warehouse location alone. For such a small thing, I can do it too. If I were lost, then I could ask" Paloma said, trying to calm Martin. The hazel-eyed woman felt bad. Moreover, at that time he was the center of attention of everyone in the room.

“Let me company,” says Matilde. His attitude seemed much calmer. He then directed Paloma to another building not too far from the room. Such a large building was specifically provided for storing cleaning equipment and other servant needs, such as uniforms or new shoes.

After retrieving the necessary tools, Matilde thrust a trolley at Paloma. He also taught the young woman to organize and put cleaning equipment into the wheeled basket.

“Well, everything is complete. Mr. Sebastian is waiting for you in the hall now,” Matilde said. “You just walk straight across the park, then turn left. There is a three-story building. The hall is on the lowest floor,” he explained.

“Good. I'll remember. Thank you very much, Madam,” reply Paloma. He nodded politely, then walked slowly according to the direction that Matilde had pointed out earlier.

However, his steps stopped for a moment, as Sebastian stood right in the middle of the entrance while shaking his waist. “Clean floor. Later that night, I'll use this room for dinner with my colleagues. They came from all over Spain. I hope you don't troublemaker, or I will sue and imprison you on charges of property destruction,” Sebastian threatened.

Paloma chose not to argue much. He simply nodded, then continued his steps past Sebastian just like that. However, again he had to stop when he realized that there was only himself in a large room the size of half the football field. Paloma immediately turned to Sebastian who was watching him.

“Where are the others?” ask Paloma without further ado.

“Nothing else. I'm just telling you,” said Sebastian flat.

“Oh.” Paloma threw a smile. He tried to cover up all the anger and helplessness in front of Sebastian. Paloma did not want to admit defeat. At least, he can maintain his pride.

“You don't want to protest again like that? Are you starting to realize who the Master is here, paloma?” Sebastian's tone sounded half-mockful. The man's arrogance reappeared.

“From the beginning, I already knew for sure that you are the ruler, Sir,” Paloma replied lightly. “Again, cleaning a room this wide will not make me feel overwhelmed. I'm used to dealing with much heavier and painful things.” Paloma smiled bitterly. He turned around leaving Sebastian glued to hear his words earlier.
