"Sadness is a natural thing in humans. It's a human thing. For, indeed, as long as one is still in the life of the world, one will never be free from sorrow.

Imam Al-Ghazali said that the sadness in a person is usually due to three things. First, because you want something that is not achieved. Second, because you lose something. And third, fear of the future.

Through the Qur'an, Allah SWT expressly forbids man to dissolve in sorrow. Because, sadness will only make a person continuously down and not excited in carrying out daily activities.

The verse on the prohibition of grieving in the Quran is as follows,

First, Surah Ali Imran [3]: 139, p,

وَلَا تَهِنُوا وَلَا تَحْزَنُوا وَأَنْتُمُ الْأَعْلَوْنَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ

It means: “Do not be weak, and do not (also) grieve, for you are the highest (height), if you are the believers.”

Second, Surah An-Nahl [16]: 127, Surah,

وَٱصْبِرْ وَمَا صَبْرُكَ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِ ۚ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا تَكُ فِى ضَيْقٍ مِّمَّا يَمْكُرُونَ

It means: “Patience (hi Muhammad) and not your patience but with the help of Allah and do not grieve over their (affection) and do not constrict your breasts to what they deceive.”

Third, Surah At-Taubah [9]: 40, and,

إِلَّا تَنْصُرُوهُ فَقَدْ نَصَرَهُ اللَّهُ إِذْ أَخْرَجَهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ثَانِيَ اثْنَيْنِ إِذْ هُمَا فِي الْغَارِ إِذْ يَقُولُ لِصَاحِبِهِ لَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَنَا ۖ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَيَّدَهُ بِجُنُودٍ لَمْ تَرَوْهَا وَجَعَلَ كَلِمَةَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا السُّفْلَىٰ ۗ وَكَلِمَةُ اللَّهِ هِيَ الْعُلْيَا ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

Meaning: “If you do not help him (Muhammad) then surely Allah has helped him (i.e.) when the unbelievers (mushrikin of Mecca) brought him out (from Mecca) while he was one of the two when both were in cave, when he said to his friend: “Do not mourn, verily Allah is with us”.

So Allah sent down His testimony to (Muhammad) and helped him with an army that you did not see, and the Qur’an made the disbelievers inferior. And the word of God is high. Allah is Mighty, Wise.”

As a believer, we should not dissolve in sadness, either when we lose something or feel afraid of the future. Believe that God will always help His servants.

These are the verses of the Qur'an that forbid man to dissolve in sorrow. Believe that if we are patient while praying fervently, then we will be free from sadness and disappointment. Aamiin..."

"So that can be said, more lack of my apologies, to Alloh Subhanahu Wata'ala I beg for forgiveness, wassalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu"
