Suicide Notes

Suicide Notes
EXTRA 3: Abandoned Girls

Victor grunted in annoyance. He was not a man who had a high imagination, how could he hallucinate about these strange creatures? It doesn't make any sense.

"Well, anyway, it's time for ma-ah, shit!"

Victor cursed in his heart when he saw Tama running from a distance. They had not faced each other, but Victor could see the worry and fear on Tama's face. The girl stopped with trembling legs, as well as shoulders that were going up and down due to shortness of breath.

"Victor ..." said Tama.

"Your face is ugly." Victor scratched his nape, glancing at the suicide note in Tama's grasp. "I'm alive, okay? It looks like I haven't killed myself."

"No ... VICTOR!!" Tama ran again.

Victor's eyelids were wide open. He couldn't believe Tama just passed him by. And ... and penetrate his body? Impossible. However, Victor clearly saw the girl. Victor must have been hallucinating, again.

"Come on, I know you're mad at me. I'm sorry, so don't act like you don't see me." Victor was silent for a moment to notice Tama crying over the jacket he had placed in the grove of trees. "Don't hugging the owner win more than hugging the inanimate?"

Tama still did not react. Tama was busy crying, mumbling and blaming herself for what happened. Of course it pisses Victor off. Victor reached out his hand about to pull Tama's shoulder, but to no avail.

"W-what happened?" Victor tried again, constantly, repeatedly. Victor makes touching, pulling, pushing and even hitting movements. However, the result is the same. He could not touch Tama, as if the girl was just a hologram.

"It sucks, doesn't it?" taunting Red Creature.

Victor groaned in reaction to the sudden appearance of the strange creature. He doesn't understand anything. Everything around him was terrifying. Horrifically.

Victor's gaze darkened, he almost fainted when the Blue Creature walked right through Tama, and approached him. "W-how did you guys get to be there? You guys shouldn't exist. Y-you're just my imagination!" Victor closed his eyes tightly.

"This is the first time you've been so scared." The Blue creature laughed in satisfaction. "I've always wondered how humans react when they see someone who has the ability to disappear. I thought you guys would be impressed."

"Are you sure you'll just keep quiet?" The red creature brought his face closer to Victor. "Your girl exuded a very strong desire to die. I think he wants to catch up with you jumping over the cliff."

"Yes!" Victor turned his head, finding the person in question looking blankly at the sun. The woman stepped slowly, like a man lost his mind. "What are you doing?! Stop right there! Oi! You can't do anything stupid!"

"Aren't you the one who taught him to think like a fool?"

Victor ignored the ravings of the Red Creature. All he had in mind was to save Tama. That girl can't kill herself. Not because of her. He tried many different ways, and all that made him even more desperate.

"I can help you" bargained the Blue Beings. "Of course, if you're going to kneel down and beg for it."

Without a second thought, Victor dropped his body to prostrate. "Please save him" asked Victor. "Please, he has nothing to do with me."

"Not exciting, you decide too quickly. Usually human self-esteem is so high that it refuses to beg," complained the Blue Creature.

"Save him!" snapped Victor. Her heart is racing, knowing it only takes one more step for Tama to meet her end.

"Tsk." The Blue creature twisted its eyeballs, then blew out its palm.

Tama's tears have been wiped away perfectly, complete with her desire to survive. He convinced himself that Victor was still alive. Maybe he was walking down the street in between barangah like his habits. Or is disappearing like when he helped Ray. Whatever it is, Victor's still alive.

"Ah, my energy." The Blue fell in place.

"Hey, are you okay?"

The Red Creature caught his friend's body, rubbing his stiff back attentively. It's clearly their play. They can't even touch each other.

"At least you should show a little gratitude. He gave the energy he absorbed from those who wanted to survive for the sake of"

As the Red Creature was busy nagging, Victor had dissolved into his own cries. Grief. Emotions that he had not felt for a long time, now made his chest tight. It was so painful that he couldn't think of anything else.

"When you have often seen people commit suicide, even giving facilities for them. Why is your attitude different now?" ask the Blue Creature.

"Eitherway. Why would I want to prevent it?"

"It must be love!" timpal Red Creature. "You don't want anything bad to happen to her, and cry because of her. Humans are like that when they fall in love, right?"

Victor touched his cheek. Those tears aren't for Tama. Victor understands he's gone. He could also accept the existence of this strange creature. There are a lot of questions, but nothing is more important than the reason for crying.

"I'm crying for myself." Victor walked after Tama. "My life is boring, without passion, ambition or desire. That's why I decided to commit suicide. Who would have thought I didn't "go to the light" like you said? I have to live with you guys."

"I'm offended!"

Victor paused for a moment, then turned to his audience. "Unseen by anyone, unable to touch anything, can only talk to you. Just imagine that I already knew it was more boring than my life as a human being. Why did I end my life so soon?" regret Victor.

That sentence completely silenced them. For thousands of years they have refrained from saying that. To be honest, their lives are boring. However, if until they fought because of that, then they would really live alone.

During this time, they tried to entertain themselves by playing a charade imitating human nature, or playing with the desires of human life. Sounds evil indeed, unfortunately it is only their actions that affect other creatures.

The survival desire that the Blue Creature gave Tama seemed to be very effective. The girl looked eagerly readying herself before continuing her internship at the foundation. He could casually report Victor's departure to Ginette.

"You're calmer than ever." Ginette smiled gently.

"I believe in Victor. He won't go far without telling me." Tama smiled back. "We've been friends."

Who's trying to lie to Tama? He knew how much Victor hated him. Victor's completed suicide notes, their quarrels, and other issues. If Victor had finally decided to commit suicide, there was no way he would have bothered to tell Tama.

"What if he's gone? With his stubbornness, Victor would hate it if I committed suicide because I lost him."

That's what Tama always said to herself. Nonsense to strengthen himself.
