Ridiculous Reasons to Suicide

“Is the reason so ridiculous? It doesn't seem like it. Isn't it after knowing the background of the story, we can draw different conclusions?”

...~•~...

Chuniby. Some people translate it as eighth-grade syndrome. At that age, teenagers have a strong imagination. Sometimes they imagine being a character from a fictional story.

Lora's got that syndrome now. He believed that magic and curses were real. He believes himself to be cursed with immortality. He hated the life that imprisoned him. Therefore he often tried to commit suicide, defying the curse.

Tama's mouth gaped at the explanation. Is that possible? To hurt yourself because of wild imagination.

“Before it wasn't that bad,” explained Ms. Lora. “Then, he talked about magic and such just to encourage his terminally ill friend.”

Lora's mother tried to swallow her grief. “According to psychologists, he became like that because he couldn't do anything when his best friend died.”.

Lora has lost her father for a long time. During those sad times, it was her best friend who always supported her. Rejuvenate. Ever since her best friend went to the hospital, she's been crying all alone, but always coming back to the hospital with a big smile."

“Lora did not drop a single tear on the day of her funeral,” continued Ms. Lora. “Maybe too painful, so no tears come out.”

Tama clasped Mom Lora's hand tightly. “You must be very worried about your daughter. We will try our best to help him.”

“I don't need the entertainment sentence, she needs it more. He suppressed his sadness. For whom?” Lora's mother massaged her forehead. “My poor daughter. I brought her here so she would socialize more.”

“I won't promise anything,” Victor revealed. “Do not expect much from us. You've taken her to a psychologist. I think, it's more useful.”

Lora's mother was not satisfied with that answer. Shouldn't Victor be comforting her? He said he didn't need it, but still. He desperately wanted Victor to promise, so that he could be a little more relieved.

Victor doesn't want to hear anything more, so he decides to leave Mother Lora with Tama. Outside, Elayne is seen crossing.

Elayne put her index finger in front of her lips. “Eavesdropping a little is okay, right?” whispered with a nosy smile. “I'm just a little curious about a few things.”

“Serah.” Victor passed by Elayne, then walked into his room. “I guess, his mother did not even intend to keep her daughter's condition a secret.”

“Do you think I'm curious about Lora?” Elayne chuckled amusedly. “Plain once. Just so you know, I am not the type who is easily curious about the lives of others.”

Victor glanced at Elayne from top to bottom. He knew very well that this girl in front of him was the second person to make an appointment with him after Mother Lora. And of course, the complaint was that he wanted to kill himself.

“I heard, you contacted the social media foundation and just said that you wanted to kill yourself. You don't want to tell me anything, except me.” Victor paused on purpose. “You're curious about me?”

“What do you think?” Elayne smiled meaningfully.

“To be honest, hearing reports about you also made me curious. Plus the way you handled Lora. Want to join our foundation?” bargain Victor.

“To have someone who wants to die to work, you are so cruel. How can people consider you a savior?” eyed Elayne.

Victor himself was also amused by that assumption. He wanted to laugh, but it didn't. Seeing Vero checking his desk without permission made the curiosity more mastered it. “What do you do?” tanyakanya.

“Searching for knives,” replied Vero indifferently. “Or scissors also no problem.”

Seeing Vero stay busy squirming the contents of his closet pissed Victor off. He pulled the teenager away. “Stop messing. You think I keep things like that here?”

You mean trying to kill yourself together? Victor was not left thinking about that crazy idea. Ah, but he himself once made the same suggestion to Ray. Ahem, after all, Vero should be taught a lesson. One flick on the forehead seems like enough.

“Apaan anyway!” peekut Vero's.

“You said he was weird, never reflected, huh? Every day call yourself a three-striped cat. What's the difference with that girl?” Victor grunting. “Do not dirty my room.”

“Who said I littered your room? And what does it mean to not reflect?” fierce Vero. “You think I'm weird?”

“Hei,” call Elayne. He sat next to Lora. “Don't I tell you, defying the god of death will make the curse difficult to remove?”

“I never agreed with your idea,” denied Lora.

Somehow, the small room was instantly filled with the sounds of debate. Two adults against two teenagers. And the most ludicrous part is that what they argue about is not at all important.

They seem to have forgotten the reason they were there today. If not for the arrival of Tama and Mother Lora, perhaps they would not have stopped.

“Look at it, you'll bow in admiration to me someday!” Vero threw away his face, half running away from the foundation.

On the other hand, Lora tightly locked her lips. There's nothing he wants to say. He needed time to digest all the events he had experienced today. Can't he really try to kill himself again?

Elayne took a long breath. “Now, what will we do?”

“Kita?” reset Tama. “Sorry?”

“I mean, me and Victor.” Elayne took Victor's hand. “I heard, this savior sir loves to travel. Want to walk together?”

“There must be a misunderstanding here.” Tama pulls Elayne's hand from Victor.

“No. I made a date with Victor. If you don't believe me, please ask Bu Ginette.” Elayne smiled proudly.

“I don't care what Ginette says, but I won't date a stranger. Just sorry.”

“Elayne. 27 years. Virgos. Painter. 53 kg. 162 cm. My favorite food cookies. I like to drink soda. I hate animals. I love the color gray,” said Elayne. “You already know many things about me, meaning now I am no longer a stranger.”

Victor folded his hands in front of his chest. “Do I look interested in all that?”

Elayne smiled amusedly. Of course he understood Victor's intentions. He just wanted to play around and slightly test this man in front of him. Alright. Seriously time.

Elayne took off the scarf around her neck. Then the gloves. Sweaters. Oh, why is he wearing a shirt in a sweater? No, more importantly, why did he also make his shirt buttons?

“What do you want?” Tama tried to restrain Elayne's movements.

Elayne did not respond, continuing to strip off her own clothes while looking straight at Victor. Tama took a look at the man, finding a strangely slanted smile on his face.
