Should We Get Married?

Should We Get Married?
Ye?

Three large bags of food, plus a small package of aromatic rice I believe is Padang rice now in front of me. But my gaze was not there, but on the man who was also in front of me, we were only limited by the grocery bag.

"Ka .. you?" I glare. Various questions now come to my mind. About how he could be here, how he could know Rani and her son, even though here is the slum and Rani's sister is a night woman. From the way they talked, it was clear that they were familiar. What don't-don't? I shook my head violently, as if this heart did not want to accept the fact that he and Rani had something. But, there was no way they could be that familiar if there was no relationship.

"Yes?" No less surprised to find me here. "How's the story you got here?" Juan asked back. "Aren't you supposed to be at Bagas' house? What's going on?" he nodded with many questions.

"You know each other?" ask Rani.

"Sir Juan and Ayu's sister are menenan?" Cici come nimbrung.

"Huh .. no. Don't know, brother!" I'm affirming.

"Yu, answer my question. What is this, why are you here? Where's Bagas? Shouldn't you be with him? How's the story you're here for?" ask Juan again.

"The night I found him by the river, he was going to kill himself!" Strictly, brother Rani.

"A suicide? Yu, why?" Juan didn't want to give me any room to breathe. He kept hunting with questions I didn't want to answer. I want to be anywhere, what's his business with her.

"I go out first." with quick steps I passed away from the house of Brother Rani, walking quickly without knowing where to go. Damn, Juan really did not let me, he followed behind, even his steps were so fast that not too far he could catch up with me.

"Tell me what's really going on, Yu. Are you really going to kill yourself? Butwhy? Did Bagas do anything to you? Did he destroy you? Yu ...."

"Juan, stop! Stop wondering because you're not the one who has to be told everything. Besides what right do you say Bagas fuck me. You should have glazed over, you are the bad one and because of your actions I have to endure it all!" I can't stop the emotion anymore. All those uneg-unegs came out as well.

"I'm sorry, Yu,"

"If I'm sorry I could give it back the way it used to be, I can give it. But no, right? It's all messy. I've been ruined so badly!"

"Yu,"

"It's Juan, stop talking let alone follow me. Just live your own life and never care about me again. Let's just say we don't know each other!"

"Yu, sorry,"

"Go!"

"Although you chased me away so many times, but I still won't be able to leave you, Yu. I told you that you are the first and last woman I love. I'll stay by your side."

"Evil!"

"Tell Yu, how can you forgive me. Whatever it is I'm gonna do."

"Go away from my life,"

"I can't, Yu. Even I will try to snatch you from Bagas."

"Crazy you Juan! You think I'm a doll with no feelings? You have a lot of money so you can do it."

"I'm not like that, Yu. I have nothing."

"For your sake, I've left everything behind. My life now is a new life. I started everything from scratch, with no help from my parents. You may hate me because I am not punished for what I did to you, Yu. But the attitude of you who keep away from me is the toughest punishment, even more severe than in prison."

"Omong empty. Go!"

"If you can't accept me now, that's okay, Yu. I will continue to fight to get your heart at any time. And I hope you do not do any more forbidden acts as said by mbak Rani. Promise me, Yu."

"What the hell are you? This is my life, it's up to me!"

"You forgot Yu, you said you were God's creature, so you can't do anything as you please. There are rules you must follow."

Deg. What Juan said was true. But what struck me was that those words came out of his mouth.

I did say that when I was a rohis manager. But I didn't think Juan knew. He was in the mosque as well.

That guy is stubborn. It really doesn't give me room to be alone. He kept on scouting me, trying to persuade me to forgive him. Tired of being followed, I finally decided to return to Rani's house. This place is foreign to me anyway. The environment is mostly night workers, I don't want our quarrels to attract the attention of others.

Apparently the problem has not yet disappeared from me. Once in front of Rani's house, there was already someone waiting. Who else if not Bagas. Apparently he was looking for me, Bagas was getting information after searching here and there since this morning.

"Why is this guy here? What the fuck?" Bagas looked at Juan with a look of dislike. Then he turned to me, his gaze introgating. "You ran away with him?"

"Yes!" Juan answered first.

"What?" I frowned, not liking his lies. But Juan snatched right away, he didn't give me a chance to talk.

"I brought Ayu here. He wants to stay here, so let him stay here. Now you go!" said Juan.

"Huh? I'm not wrong, am I? Yu, what the fuck?" Bagas tried to ask me for an answer.

"Gas, this is Ayu's choice, so please respect her choice" Juan said.

"Optional? Hehhh. Juan, do you realize who Ayu is now? She's my wife. We are married religiously and after the baby is born we will be officially married. Got it? So now move aside, let me take Ayu home" said Bagas.

"I don't want to." I said.

"Look for yourself, right? Ayu won't come with you. Ayu wants to be here with me. Ayu has made her choice. There's no need to discuss marriage if you're doing it for money." Said Juan.

Mas Bagas was silent, maybe he felt cornered because his secret was known to Juan. While I bite my lips in annoyance. I don't like Juan but I don't want to be with Bagas at the moment. I'm not the same, but I don't want to be demeaned like that.

"Yu, come with me. We're talking about everything okay. It's just a misunderstanding. I really love you." Bagas tried to persuade me.

"No!" I said.

"Have heard, right? Now be gentle, Gas, go and don't bother Ayu." Juan pushed slowly onto Mas Bagas' shoulder.

Maybe because he knew his efforts would only be in vain, Bagas finally gave up too. He left after leaving a message that he would come again to pick me up.
