See You Tonight

See You Tonight
Chapter 98: Another Week

After waiting for a while, our order finally arrived. The waiter looks kindly put our ordered food. A friendly smile always emanated from the face of every servant who was serving.

I started eating my order burger. It tastes good, soft and very melted. I couldn't stop chewing this burger that just came. It doesn't seem like 5 minutes, this burger is gonna run out.

"Want another message?" asked Sofia who saw me eating so quickly.

"Eh hing-engga, this alone is enough anyway," answered me who actually wanted to order 1 or 2 more burgers, but I do not want to trouble Sofia again if I order again.

"Ehhh really? You seem to like the burger a lot" Sofia said.

"This burger tastes really good. I couldn't stop to eat it hehehe" replied I, who had now finished the burger that had just arrived again.

"Hihihihi cepet you are so exhausted. Yes, wait for me to finish eating first yes," said Sofia.

"Oh yes" I replied.

It felt like it had been a long time since I had met and chatted with Sofia like this. For some reason, now the vibration that used to occur when I met Sofia, now it's like I don't feel anymore. I can also behave normally in front of him even though we are both like this.

The sky that was still cloudy and dark, now slowly began to brighten again. In the western sky, the sunlight was actually very bright and no more dark clouds were visible.

I turned my gaze towards the aquarium located near the entrance of this stall. Aquarium that is not too big, filled with some koi fish and goldfish. When my father was alive, I remember that at home there was an aquarium and a fish pond filled with enough fish. The size of the aquarium, I think it's bigger than the one in this place.

After my father died, I don't really remember what happened to the aquarium and the fishpond. Perhaps because no one took care of the fish anymore, the fish were sold by the mother. I don't remember too much either.

If the time machine had been invented, I'd love to use it to go back in time to where Dad was alive. There are still so many things I want to do and ask Dad. Even so, for some reason since my father died on that grey day, my heart seemed to be connected to my father. It's like you're always watching me out of nowhere. And when I close my eyes, dad always appears with a smile on his face.

"Eh why are your eyes out of the water Lang? You crying?" said Sofia who looked surprised.

"Eh really? I don't feel like I'm crying, I'm just daydreaming. Strange as it is," I then wiped the water dripping from my left eye. I didn't realize my tears were coming down.

"Aren't you papa? But how come your left eye is the one that tears?" ask Sofia again.

"Nega, no papa. I don't know why I did it either, nor do I feel like I was crying or something. Maybe my left eye was getting dust or something" I replied with a faint smile.

"Oh that's it," said Sofia who now back to eat the little remaining food.

After finishing eating lunch, Sofia and I planned to go straight home. Since Sofia was on a bicycle, I told her to walk first, but she refused. He insisted that we go home with his bike. The only way we can do that is by first we go to my house, then after that Sofia can go home. However, I really feel bad again because it will definitely trouble her.

At about 12pm, we arrived at my house. After that, Sofia immediately continued her journey to return home.

"Thank you Sof... Sorry to keep taking it," I said, bowing slightly.

"You need to apologize, Lang... I don't feel bothered, even I feel happy" Sofia said with a slight smile.

"Stay still.." my chimpanzee.

"Hihihi is no longer papa. Yes, I went home first Lang... Bye bye..." Sofia then started to leave this place.

"Yes Sof, be careful." I replied.

After Sofia was no longer seen, I went straight into the house. It seems like there is no one in the house. Mum and Hana must be in the store right now.

I sat for a moment on the living room couch. It feels quite tiring after taking a aimless walk, then getting caught in the rain, meeting with dad's friend, and ending up meeting Sofia. It feels like so many things have happened, even though today only runs for about half a day.

I sat with my back and closed my eyes. I think I could sleep at any time if I continued in this position.

I heard the time coming from a sizable old wall clock located in the living room. The sound of the clockwork wall, it sounded so clear because the atmosphere is now very calm. Time that continues to go on without anyone can stop it, as if it flows just like that no matter whether humans are happy or sad.

The sound of putting the clock that increasingly feels soft, now makes me feel so comfortable and makes me deeper and deeper again close my eyes. I think soon I'll be completely asleep on this couch.

The sun had passed, and now that the moon had appeared in the sky, the night sign had arrived. I saw the moon shining faintly from the balcony of my house.

I looked at the moon as I sat down with a glass of hot chocolate that was still emitting smoke on it. On this cold night, I sipped the hot chocolate bit by bit.

It's about a week away until the school festival starts. I can't wait to see how great the event is. However, what I was most looking forward to from various kinds of competitions was the poetry race that Risal participated in. I really want to listen to his poetry again and again.
