Chapter 46: Cindy's Story 2

"I just feel like if I told that to someone else it might just make you sadder. So, I think it's better to wait until you tell me that yourself" I said.

"Thank you again Lang" Cindy said.

Cindy and I were silent for a while looking up at the night sky. Now, Cindy can slowly stop her tears.

"So, for a while you'll be staying with your grandmother first before returning home?" ask me to open the conversation again.

"Maybe it's not while Lang, maybe for the next time I'll stay here. Here, I feel very loved. Maybe grandma's old, but her affection makes me feel so peaceful. I can also help grandma keep this bookstore" Cindy said.

"If that's your choice, I'll be supportive. Oiya, by the way, where is your old father now?" ask me again.

"Now that he's not here anymore, he's calm up there in the sky with grandpa" Cindy said in a soft tone.

"I'm sorry I didn't know. I don't mean to make you sad again" said I, who felt bad for Cindy.

"No. It's okay anyway. It is precisely I who should apologize to you, Ahsan, and Ruben." Cindy replied.

"What are you sorry for again?" ask me wonder.

"I'm sorry for lying when you three came here. I lied about why I didn't go to school for two days" Cindy said.

"It's okay. I know how you feel. If I were in your position, maybe I would do the same. What's more, I actually knew from the beginning that you were lying" I said.

"Eh really? Do you know where I'm lying?" ask Cindy in astonishment.

"When you said that this bookstore employee was on vacation. To my knowledge, this store never had any employees. You see, I've been to this store since I was a kid" I explained.

"Eh really? Then Ruben and Ahsan already know that I'm lying?" ask Cindy to worry.

"Not yet. I keep it to myself" I replied.

"Thank you very much Lang," Cindy seemed relieved.

"It's okay, it's better if you feel better to tell them, immediately tell a story. They'll definitely help you. Ahsan and Ruben... They are good children" I said, praising them both.

"I think so hehehe, too," Cindy was now seen laughing.

After Cindy laughed, we went back to being quiet with no conversation. The sound of friction of insect wings until it sounded thin. The night is getting late.

"There's still something to say again not Cin?" ask me.

"Thank God then. I'm glad I could help ease your problems even though all I did was listen. Then I'll go home first. It's getting late too hehe," I said while looking at the watch that had shown at 22:03.

"Oh yeah sorry Lang, I forgot about time. Be careful Lang" Cindy said.

"Okay, take it easy hehe" I left Cindy and the bookstore with a faint smile.

I then waved at Cindy who had started long before I disappeared at the end of the road and turned. The current condition of the streets is still quite crowded. I don't understand why people love to travel on Sunday nights. If I wasn't bored like that, I would always be at home reading novels.

When I got home, I washed my feet, hands, and face. I also brush my teeth. It was quite exhausting to walk aimlessly like that. After that, I went straight to my room to get ready for bed.

Finally, after a long time of wondering, now I already know what the problem is that befell Cindy. The problem is heavy. I'm a little scared that one day my mom will remarry and end up like Cindy's father and half-brother.

I still can't believe that Cindy wants to tell me her problem like that. In fact, he called me first while slightly shouting from the second-floor balcony.

I also felt sad to hear that his brother and stepfather were being bad to him. What's more, when his mother also slowly changed. If I were Cindy, I would be devastated and probably be more depressed than what happened to Cindy at the time.

This Sunday morning, it has been exactly 4 weeks since I entered High School. There were a lot of people I met after that. Various characters and backgrounds.

Unknowingly, I was already able to memorize all the male students that were in my class. Aji, Ahsan, Reuben, Renaldi, Fahmi, Agung, Tomi, Risal, Ihsan, Dawn, and Calvin.

Aji is a person who is very fond of sports. He also became the vice-chairman of the class. Ahsan and Ruben are my close friends. Before I knew them, they had been together since the first day of High School. It turns out that they are from the same Junior High.

Renaldi is a quiet man. He always looked serious. In fact, rarely does anything make him laugh. He's also an extracurricular Soccer guy just like me. His posture is also the highest in the class.

Then Fahmi. Fahmi has a rather stocky body. The most striking of Fahmi is his hair that always looks clean and neat.

Great is a very indie figure. He really likes Indonesian subjects, but only on Poetry material.

Tomi is a pretty serious figure just like Renaldi. It's just that Tomi is easier to laugh than Renaldi.

Risal is a man who loves comics. Not only comics, he also likes Anime (animated from Japan). He loves things that smell Japanese. People often call her Wibu. In addition, Risal is also a fairly quiet figure and seems like he prefers to be alone than spending time with his friends. Every time he left, he would come into the classroom wearing large earphones that covered both ears.

Ihsan is a friendly person. He can do anything. She is also quite famous among the girls. He was also the only male to join OSIS in our class.
