Finally, Ruben and I have arrived in front of the shop where Risal works. We entered the store immediately after parking the bike.
We looked towards the cashier, the position where Risal worked. It seems like this afternoon Risal seemed quite busy. Buyers look in line long enough to pay.
We decided to wait until the store visitors were quieter and Risal had free time to chat for a while. We also do not want to interfere with his work.
While waiting, we decided to go around the store while looking at the goods sold. In this store, various kinds of goods are sold. Starting from sports equipment, stationery, outdoor equipment, and others.
After a long wait, finally the condition of the store has begun to disappear. In front of the cashier table, there are no more buyers waiting in line to pay. We went there as long as no other customers would pay.
"Hallo Sal" said Ruben as he greeted us. From the expression on his face, it seemed like he had not realized our existence.
"Oh what's up, Ben?" answer Risal flat. I didn't expect them to actually look more familiar than I imagined.
"Here, there's a friend of yours who wants to tell you something" Ruben said.
"Who? Saying what?" ask Risal.
Ruben then dragged me to stand closer to the cashier's desk. Now, Risal and I are really facing each other.
"Oh you Lang, what's wrong?" ask Risal.
"I'm sorry I didn't discuss it first with you. You know, soon our school will be holding a welcoming festival race for the school's anniversary. One of the main competitions is the poetry race. Well, just now at the selection of people, I recommend you to go with it. The whole class agreed to that, so I hope you'll join the poetry race representing our class" I explained.
"Why do you recommend me to take that race? Is there no Supreme?" Risal.
"Gung is also coming. Each class has a quota of two students. If you ask me why I recommend you, it comes from the time you read your poetry during your Indonesian lessons, remember? You read your poem simply, but somehow the sound of every word of yours touches the feelings of the person who heard it. Since then, I've been an admirer of your poetry. I even wish I could hear your poetry again" I explained again.
"So how's Sal? You wanna come?" ruben said with a slight smile.
"Okay, I haven't promised yet. I'll think about it later. When you're done, can you step aside first? The customers seem to have started waiting in line" said Risal.
"Oh, I'm sorry" I then let the buyer who wants to pay.
Ruben and I went out and left the store.
"Already, don't be so moody Lang. Don't think too much," Ruben slightly smiled at me.
"But if Risal doesn't want to run the race at the end of the day, I don't know what to say to my friends. Despite all that, I would still feel sad if Risal did not take part in the poetry race," I looked down at the ground with a somewhat blank look.
"Just calm down, Risal must be coming along," Ruben smiled widely this time.
"Eh really? Where are you sure you're from?" I don't seem to believe it.
"I hope so," answered me who was still feeling a little worried.
"Not think about it too much. The most important thing is that you told her well and correctly. Yes, let's go home first, the sky is getting darker," said Ruben who then immediately rushed to his bicycle. Reuben was right, the sky is getting darker now. Again, Ruben looked like a completely different person. Even today he looks very reliable.
"If you want to go straight home, you can take my bike first Lang. You can return it tomorrow after extracurriculars" Ruben said.
"Eh really?" ask me to make sure.
"Yes, of course, really. Why doubt like that. That's also if you really want to go straight home," said Ruben again.
"Then I borrow your bike first huh? Looks like I'll just go home" I said.
"Okay, then. See you tomorrow..." Ruben smiled then started leaving me first. Reuben seemed to keep away and seemed to disappear at a crossroads there, as if swallowed by orange light at dusk.
I started riding my bike and rushed home. It's 17:45 now. The sky was almost completely dark.
Highlight the lights of motor vehicles that cross in the opposite direction to me, sometimes very blinding to the eyes. I don't know if they did it intentionally or not. Obviously, it bothers me a lot.
The sound of a horn that sounds when the red light has just turned green is also sometimes very disturbing. The new light was completely green, why did the horn sound? I don't know what the purpose of those guys is to honk for.
I also kept paddling down the road home. At this moment, the sky was already completely getting darker. The crescent-shaped moon is now visible just above me.
To shorten the time and distance, I also took a shortcut. This shortcut will pass through a small road that has no lighting along about 300 meters which left and right is the rice field area.
Wherever I move, the moon seems to follow me from above. I don't know why I've always done things like this since I was a kid. I always watch the moon wherever I go.
Now, I was finally passing through a road that had no illumination that I had mentioned. The sound of insects was so clear. The rice field area is quite large, making the air around here filled with strong wind gusts.
Along this road, I am the only one who passes through it. For a moment, it felt like I was the only one in this world.
After finishing passing through the street area without lighting, I have now reached my school area. The lights that radiate from every corner of the school make the view at night beautiful.

Finally, after a long bike ride, I reached my house. I immediately put Ruben's bike into the garage. After that, I took a shower and got ready for dinner.
