See You Tonight

See You Tonight
Chapter 84: Jealous ?

"Thank you, Lang, you have done me a lot" Cindy said at the shop door.

"Yes Cin both. Yes, I went straight home first. Greetings to Grandma Maria, "I hurried to leave the place.

Tonight, the sky seems so bright. There are so many stars blinking into the night sky. The sound of the train crossing the tracks was heard quite clearly from here.

Today, so many things are happening. Starting from a sudden invitation from Ruben, Ruben who was late to come and apparently overslept, Ahsan's birthday planning, Ahsan who then came to Ruben's house, Ahsan later said that Ruben was misinformed about his birthday which turned out not to be tomorrow as Ruben had said, going shopping with Cindy, eating with friends, going home and having dinner with Cindy. It sounds exhausting, but I don't feel it at all. All I feel is happiness.

Now, the park that was quite crowded, there were no more people here. The park is always empty when night comes. If you look around again, this park is also visible at night. I don't understand why people only visit the park during the day.

I decided to stop for a while in the park and find a seat. I then sat in a garden chair that was not too in the middle, the chair was on the edge of the park and only a few meters away from the road that I was passing earlier.

I sat down and leaned my back. I don't know why it tastes so good. Looking up at the sky, I started counting the scattered stars.

I could still count it correctly until the 10th count, but after that I must have lost track. I have always wanted to count the number of stars in the sky, but I always failed at the 11th.

The cold air started to pierce my body. I put my hand in the front pocket of my hoodie and closed the cover.

I slowly closed my eyes and breathed in the air slowly. In my silence, I imagined Cindy's smile that looked so beautiful and sweet. I felt the same way as when I was imagining Sofia. I don't know what this feeling is. It feels sometimes painful and stifling to the chest, and sometimes very pleasing and reconciling to the soul.

The moon is looking at me from up there. The wind that blows around me seems to be conveying a message from the moon that until now I have not been able to understand at all.

The sound of motorized vehicles that sometimes pass by on the road next to me, does not bother me in the least. Sometimes, that voice will accompany you through a lonely night.

The insects that gathered around the garden lights, for some reason looked like humans scrambling for something. Once they reach the lamp, they no longer know what they will do after that. They will eventually just perch in the lamp and then die of heat by electrical energy that makes the lamp hot.

After a long silence, I got up from my seat. I continued my journey back home. If it goes on, maybe I'll fall asleep here.

The plan is to start the meeting at 15:50. There's still about 10 minutes left until the meeting starts. It looks like today will only discuss about the students who will take part in the competitions.

"Oi Lang, what kind of race are you going to run?" Ruben patted me on the shoulder from behind.

"So then, it will all depend on a mutual decision" I replied without looking at Ruben.

"Come Lang. If you shine on the show later, you will definitely be famous all over school, and of course there will be a lot of girls who will like you," Ruben now moved in front of me.

"I don't really care about fame or anything like that. Most importantly, everyone will enjoy the show. That's it," I replied flatly.

"Not very cool Lang, hmmm... Oiya by the way you came home with Cindy yah?" Ruben whispered to me.

"I-iya, Cindy came home yesterday because she wanted to meet Hana, my sister," I replied rather surprised Ruben asked that question.

"What are you, Cindy? Don't-don't Hana just you use it for mode, right?" goda Reuben's.

"Of course it's all Cindy's own wish to meet Hana. So, how could I possibly use my own sister for such a thing," I replied.

"Hmmm... Still suspicious," Ruben narrowed his eyes.

"You jealous, Ben? Hahahaha," Ahsan suddenly entered the conversation.

"Haaa? Ten-of course not," replied Ruben somewhat stammered.

"Even though you say no, but your face and style of speech say different things" Ahsan said.

"I told you no yes no" Reuben returned to his seat.

"Hayo ngaku Ben... from Junior High, do you always pay attention to it, right? How long will you hold back your feelings? Hahahaha," Ahsan laughed quite wide.

"You're quiet... It's none of your business either" replied Ruben somewhat of a judge.

"Hmmm, what do I want to say to Cindy? It seems that Cindy will soon be returning to class," Ahsan now continued to tease Ruben.

"Never. Please don't ever tell him anything" Ruben began to panic.

"Wah Cindy seems to live a long life. Look at her coming already," Ahsan put on her evil smile while pointing at Cindy who was already at the entrance of the classroom.

"Cin..," Ahsan waved his hand at the newly entered Cindy.

"Woiiii don't say..." Ruben somewhat whispered to Ahsan. Even so, Ahsan did not seem to be listening to what Ruben said. He waved his hand at Cindy.
