See You Tonight

See You Tonight
Chapter 59: Black and Blue

...Black and Blue...

The words that came out after the sky cried,

I can't hear it so clearly, though,

Whether it's sadness, disappointment, despair, or just the joking sound of your excessive laughter?

Everyone is born with a specific purpose,

Everyone seems to be trying to find the meaning of life itself,

Something ends with joy,

Some should go home with sadness,

However, the crying sky did not subside,

The rainbow refused to show itself,

Where is the promised light?

Why was he hiding?

Why did he refuse to show himself to me?

Am I too scary?

Or maybe, just me being too small and insignificant?

I don't know, who knows?

The higher I wish, the more,

It hurts more when you fall, later,

I don't know when the light will come to me,

However, if I am given one more chance to hope, then,

Can I hold you for a moment?

And if one day my hope is truly granted, then,

Maybe I'll feel very happy, though,

To the extent that my tears are deep black, that,

It looks like it will turn into a blue sky.

Risal read his poem in a very soft tone, but a very clear voice was heard. The combination of voice and content, as if touching the heart of everyone who heard it softly but like carrying a message of sadness. I even got carried away and was like drowning in the flow of poetry.

I didn't expect Risal to be able to make such a touching poem. I looked around the class. It seems not only I feel touched, but all the class residents including Ms. Nesti also seem to feel things that are not much different from me. I can't even conclude that the end of the poem is happiness or vice versa? Or is it just irony? I don't know.

Finally a clap was heard after Risal began to step towards his seat. We were as if hypnotized by his poem. In fact, we did not even realize that the change of lessons bell had rung. Ms. Hesti did not have time to comment on Risal's poem. He hurriedly closed the lesson and immediately left the class.

"Oi Lang want to go to the cafeteria?" take Ruben while he's on break.

"By Chef," I accepted Reuben's invitation.

"Oi oi don't call me Chef anymore. I was ashamed" said Ruben.

"Father Chef," I replied.

"Oi oi what the fuck is tuch?" suddenly Ahsan entered the conversation.

"But it was you who asked me to call you Chef if your cooking was good, right?" ask me.

"Yes, but it's okay. Call me Reuben" said Reuben.

"Well, if that's what you want" I said.

"Hahahaha what the fuck is Chef?" ahsan is now mocking Ruben.

"Haaa? Why are you calling me that?" ruben asked Ahsan.

"That's it, don't you papa, right? After all, you should be happy to be called Chef like this" Ahsan said.

"As far as you are. Yaudah, let's go to the cafeteria. The hunt is over" said Ruben again.

The three of us headed to the cafeteria. To be honest, I am still thinking about Risal's poem. I became increasingly curious about Risal and his background which was still full of question marks. And also, why he prefers to be alone than socializing with other friends.

"Have you ever talked to Risal?" ask Ruben and Ahsan.

"Remember, but it seems only a few times," said Ruben, looking back.

"Why suddenly ask like that Lang?" ask Ahsan.

"No papa anyway... It's just that I feel there's a very deep message from his poem just now" I replied.

"Yes, I think so too. Although I don't really understand, I also feel something from the poem" Ruben said.

"Haaa? What the fuck? Just tell me you don't understand anything Ben," ledek Ahsan.

"Maybe you don't understand anything San" replied Ruben.

The three of us reached the cafeteria and bought our own food. Shortly after, we returned to class and the doorbell rang.

After school, I plan to stop by the bookstore first. It just so happened that today I was in need of inspiration for poetry, so I decided to stop by a bookstore for a book about poetry. Fortunately, Westi did not ask for the task of making poetry, if he had asked I would not have collected anything.

Arriving at the bookstore, I went straight in and looked for the appropriate book. While I was looking for the book I wanted to buy, Cindy suddenly walked out of the room behind the cashier. He came and approached me.

"Eh Galang, what book are you looking for?" ask Cindy when she comes to me.

"This is Cin again looking for a book about these poems. I had no inspiration at all about making this poem. I didn't write a single word in the book, either" I said.

"Eh really? I guess you're the kind of person who likes it and it's easy to make poetry" Cindy said.

"I really like to read it, but somehow I had no idea at all about making poetry" I said again.

"Oh that's it, I've stayed a while Lang," Cindy said.

"Oh yes Cin," I replied.

Cindy then began to walk around the store while occasionally cleaning the dust that sticks, or just just justify the position of the book that is less neat. Looks like Cindy has started helping with this bookstore. Cindy also seems happy to be able to help her grandmother who may have begun to be overwhelmed taking care of this bookstore alone.

Then I started looking at which books I was going to buy. I then saw a book of poems called "A Letter from the Stars". From the title I thought it was quite interesting, I immediately took it and looked at the book for a while.

After thinking for a moment, I decided to buy this book. I went straight to the cashier to pay. As usual, Cindy's grandmother was always at the table. He also seems to be reading a pretty thick book. Not to forget, a cup of tea on his left. I immediately handed the book to the cashier's desk. The grandmother then took it slowly and directly scanned the barcode of the book.
