Chapter 38: Wrong See?

Tuesday 9 August after a historical replay, the second break time is around 12:18.

"Where was Lang? Can you do that?" ruben asked as he came to me.

"Oh, I'm not too sure" I replied flatly.

"So it's true that it's not human?" ask Ruben again.

"Why is your conclusion so?" I was confused by the conclusion Reuben came to.

"But you are not the inhumane Ben" Ahsan chirped from behind my chair.

"Haaa? Can you get San?" ruben asked somewhat annoyed.

"Of course I can, who wants to race for better grades?" challenge Ahsan.

"Who is afraid," Ruben accepted Ahsan's challenge.

"You are quite confident as well well yah," Ahsan said with a cynical look.

"Of course, what else is it just against someone like you. I'm sure I can definitely get better grades" Ruben replied.

"Okee, who lost what punishment?" ask Ahsan.

"The loser becomes the errand boy who wins for a day, how?" ruben.

"Okee, agreed yach?" Ahsan replied with his trademark accent.

"Oookeeeech," Ruben replied by mimicking Ahsan's accent.

"Haaa what the fuck is tuch?" ahsan said again.

"Hahahaha I should have said that," Ruben laughed.

"But by the way Cindy where is it? It's been two days that he didn't come in" Ahsan said, changing the topic.

"Yes, where is Dad? He also did not send a letter to the school. You know something Lang?" ruben.

"Okay, I don't know either" I replied flatly.

Cindy hasn't been to school for two days. Actually I'm quite worried about him. What's the last time we met, Cindy cried when she came home.

From yesterday I always came home by the road in front of his house, but the house looked empty. Or maybe Cindy and her family are out of town? I don't know. Obviously, I've been thinking about him since we last met.

"Would we just go to his house?" mole Ruben.

"If Cindy wasn't sick, then why didn't she leave for two days?" ruben.

"Eat it's better we make sure" said Ruben.

"Why do you insist on going to his house? Don't-don't you miss yah? Hahahaha," Ahsan laughed softly.

"Why are you laughing? There's a friend of ours in trouble, why are you laughing?" said Ruben a little Emotion.

"Eh why are you so angry? Problem say? What is Cindy in trouble? And why do you know he's in trouble?" tanya Ahsan was curious.

"What's Cindy doing, Ben?" my friend pad Ruben.

"Let's see, I was just thinking the truth. If we come to his house and it turns out that he is not sick or not traveling, it means that he has a problem" explained Ruben.

"It's also you well, tumben once you can think so," Ahsan said.

"In addition, have you not been aware of his attitude lately? He's often aloof and always looks moody, right?" reuben said again.

"Well, this time you're like a different person, Ben. Don't you actually like Cindy, Ben? You seem to care so much about her" Ahsan said, to my surprise.

Ruben was silent. He did not deny or deny it. He just kept quiet. Although his mouth was silent, the look in his eyes seemed to explain everything.

"Why did you shut up, Ben?" ahsan asked, "so it's true that you actually like him?"

Reuben then sat on Cindy's empty chair. He looks gloomy now. Just this time it felt like I saw the other side of Ruben who was usually always cheerful. The look in his eyes reflected his concern for Cindy.

"So, we're going to go home to school?" ahsan said again.

"Maybe it's better," I added.

"Hahaha don't be so gloomy Ben. Your face is ugly, don't be bullied again that's how hahaha," Ahsan again mocked it while laughing.

The school bell just rang. The last lesson is over. Teachers and students immediately get ready to end teaching and learning activities today.After completion, the teacher immediately left the class followed by other students.

Me, Ahsan, and Ruben were getting ready to go straight to Cindy's house.

"You ready, Ben?" ask Ahsan.

Ruben has been quiet ever since our conversation was a second break. He seems to be a completely different person.

Once everything was ready, we rushed to Cindy's house. As usual, we went to Cindy's house on foot. Ahsan who had left school on a bicycle, now he helped lead his bicycle. From the three of us, it is indeed the distance of Ahsan's house that is the most distant, maybe about 4 km. So, he always went to school on a bike.

The weather this afternoon somehow became a little cloudy, but this morning the weather was very bright. Although it is a bit cloudy, but probably will not be until it rains. We walked quite slowly this time.

So far, there has been no conversation between us. Ruben and Ahsan, who were usually always arguing, now looked solemn and calm. We just watch the road carefully.

As we were about to pass by my subscription bookstore, Ruben suddenly made a sound.

"See ! Isn't that Cindy who was walking into that little bookstore?" he said as he pointed towards my subscription little bookstore.

As Ahsan and I turned to look towards the bookstore, the girl Ruben was referring to seemed to have gone inside. So, Me and Ahsan have not been able to confirm that the girl Ruben saw was Cindy or not.

"Let's go there?" get Ruben excited and run.

We both had not had time to reply to Ruben's invitation but Ruben had already run. The two of us had no choice but to follow Ruben running towards the bookstore.

Arriving in front of the shop, the three of us paused for a moment.

"You're sure you saw Cindy enter this store?" ask Ahsan

"That's sure," replied Ruben confidently even though his breathing was a bit dull after running about 50 meters earlier.

We opened the shop door and went straight inside. We looked around all over the store to find out if Cindy actually walked into this store or not.

After we went around the little shop, we found Cindy nowhere. We only found a few visitors who were busy choosing books. Was Ruben just looking wrong? I don't know.
