Chapter 8: Going Home Together

After my mother and Sofia got acquainted, my mother immediately left the two of us to immediately return to her shop.

"Yes yes, my mother lived first. Play here often if there is free time, son Sofia," mother said with a smile and immediately left the house to the store.

Time showed 13.00 when Hana came home.

"Welcome," said I, who was still reading the novel in the living room.

"Aren't you eating?" he asked as he walked to his room.

How should I answer him when he is now in his room.

Shortly after, Hana came out.

"Where are you eating?" I asked Hana who just came out of her room.

"Udah, I stopped by my mom's shop before coming back here" replied Hana while looking hurriedly about to leave.

"Where are you going? To mom's shop?" manya curious.

"No, today I want to play with friends," Hana looks very excited as usual.

"Ohh, where are you playing?"

"In the park near my school, brother."

"You want an older brother?"

"No, brother, I went there with Sifa. I'll go to Sifa's house first. I'll go first, brother. I asked my mother's permission, too" she replied as she walked out of the house.

"Oh yasudah, be careful... Don't go home in the afternoon."

I'm alone again now. I stopped reading the novel and planned to take a nap. I went straight to my room on the second floor.

I try to fall asleep, close my eyes and position my body as comfortably as possible. But it feels so hard to fall asleep. My eyes are open again.

I thought about Sofia again. The smell of her shampoo, the wind-scratched hair, her voice, the look in her eyes, her white skin, and what I thought most of all was her sweet smile. I want to see Sofia again. My mind seemed to be filled with the thing about Sofia right now, and I unconsciously fell asleep.

Time indicates time 16.12 when I wake up. I took a shower after that. After bathing, I plan to go to the minimarket to buy snacks and milk that has begun to run out.

After finishing the bath, I wonder if Hana has come home or not? I hurriedly checked into his room.

"Hana... Hanaa's inside?" I asked while knocking on the door of his room that did not get a reply. I repeated it three times but still there was no answer. I opened the door too.

"I go in loo" I said as I opened the door. I didn't find Hana in her room.

After finding out that Hana had not yet returned home, I immediately rushed to the store. Maybe he stopped there first.

"Mom, isn't Hana here?" I just got to the store.

"No, this afternoon he had permission to play in the park," replied the mother while writing something on the cashier's desk.

"Iya Hana also told me so. I want to check it out in the park first, ma'am" I said as I left the store

I walked to the park pretty quickly. I'm afraid there's nothing because it's almost five in the afternoon.

I finally reached the park near Hana's school. I saw 4 girls swinging from a distance where I realized that one of them was Hana. Two children climbed the swing, while two other children pushed it from behind. The four of them looked very happy. They laughed quite loudly whenever the two children behind swung their swings.

I didn't call Hana right away. I looked at them from the other side of the park while sitting down. A few moments later, they took turns. I'm glad to see Hana being happy like that.

Not feeling dusk getting late, I also approached those who were still cool playing swings.

"Hanaa," I said somewhat shouting.

The four children looked at me.

"Of course you're here to pick you up. It's almost night. I told you not to be too late in the afternoon,"

"Come on home now. Invite your friends to come home too. They may also be looking for their parents."

The five of us finally rushed home. I seem to have to deliver three of Hana's friends first because it's almost dark now. On the way, they kept telling each other.

Finally, one by one from Hana's friends I've brought home. Now it was just me and Hana who rushed straight to the house.

Hana again did not listen to me. It felt like I hadn't been home with Hana in a long time like this.

Finally, we arrived. I immediately told Hana to take a shower. I forgot, I was actually planning to go to the minimarket to buy snacks and milk. Maybe I'll buy it after dinner.
