Chapter 35: Attending an Event

Sunday 7 August at 07:30.

"Hana let's hurry later, you know," mother stood in front of the front door while shouting a little.

"Yes mom.., this is Hana again grab a bag first," Hana shouted from inside the house while running towards the front door. The bag he carried until he was seen jumping.

Today as planned, Hana will be performing at an art show at her school. I still don't know what Hana's going to show. Every time I asked her about it, Hana always answered "secret".

Because Hana will perform, she is required to arrive at school a maximum of one hour before the event starts. Therefore, my mother is currently going with Hana.

After Hana got to the door, she immediately clasped her left hand while shouting, "i leave first, brother."

"Yes, be careful" I replied quietly who was in the living room reading a novel. Because I will wait for Hana all day, then the flower shop owned by the mother also closed. Mom could have opened her flower shop because she still had three employees. But the mother decided to just relax for them to rest.

Mother's shop is always open every day, from 08.00 am to 18.00 pm. Each employee has a one-time vacation per week. It is up to them to choose what day. However, of the three employees must choose a holiday that is different from each other. So in one day there should not be two or more employees taking a day off.

Actually the one who never took off was my mom. My mother was in the flower shop every day without a day off. Even so, I never saw or heard my mother complain or anything. She always seemed excited every day.

Today I didn't go to an art show with Hana. Of course I'll come probably around 9 o'clock. Hana says her number is the 10th. So, I decided not to come too early.

After I finished reading the novel, I then read the book "Basics of Playing Football" which I just bought recently. I read with the book seriously and slowly so that when following the extracurricular I can follow it well.

I also started to watch the results of football matches on YouTube and TV. I watched it so I could know the hot topics that were going on in the world of Football. The two best players in the world are Leonel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The debate over which one is the best between the two always ends in a dead end. But one thing is for sure: they are both the best players in the world right now.

In Europe, it is still pre-season. This means that teams on the blue continent there are still many trial matches while restoring the fitness of their players after a long vacation.

At 09:00, I was getting ready to go to an art show. I made an agreement with Cindy to watch Hana's performance. We'll make arrangements for a meeting in the park around 09:10. I'm going to leave, just put on my shoes.

After I finished wearing my shoes, I went straight to the park. Today I wear knee-length jeans, and a plain black shirt with a long-sleeved checkered shirt. I walked quite casually towards the park because it was not too far away.

I glanced up at the sky. The weather today is very sunny. The clouds look so white and clean. When I was little, I always saw clouds that resembled things or things I knew. Suppose the clouds that look like birds, chickens, islands, circles, and others.

Not feeling I had reached the front of the park, I also checked the watch I was wearing on my left hand. Time shows it's 9 o'clock over 9 minutes. It means there's still about a minute until my appointment with Cindy arrives. But as I looked around the garden, I saw Cindy already sitting on one of the garden chairs.

I don't know when he's been waiting. Whether it's been a long time or not. I hope it hasn't been too long.

I also walked straight to him. I don't know why I'm feeling a little nervous. Cindy wore a long black skirt in a long-sleeved red shirt. His hair that he usually tied behind, now he let it unravel neatly with bangs limited to eyebrows that make it look sweet with his pale white skin. I was pounding even more when he noticed my arrival and looked at me.

"Have you waited a long time?" ask me while looking down. I don't know why I didn't dare look him in the eye.

"Not yet, I just came" he replied.

"Thank God, I think I forgot our appointment" I said.

"Well, I came too early. You're not too late, Lang" now Cindy stood up from her seat.

"Hehe so yeah, I guess I'm late hehe. Then you want to leave now?" I'm the one who still doesn't dare to look him in the eye.

"Come, come on," we rushed to Hana's school not too far from the park.

We walked pretty fast. With this speed, maybe we will arrive in less than 5 minutes. Along the way, we didn't talk to each other, just stared at the road. Maybe we both feel awkward.

Arriving in front of the school gate, we then filled the visitor's book. After we finished filling, we were given each snack and one bottle of water. We also found an empty seat. The atmosphere here is quite crowded. We had a hard time finding an empty seat.

While looking for an empty seat, we suddenly saw Risa (our classmate) who was also seen being cool watching the performances of the elementary school students here. Coincidentally beside his seat there were still a few empty seats. We also rushed straight to it.

Risa seemed unaware of our presence until we were actually beside her.

"Galang, Cindy... You guys came here too... Well, do you guys have a sister here, too?" risa asked enthusiastically.

"With Ris, I was only invited by Galang to watch his sister's performance" Cindy replied with a faint smile.
