Chapter 175: Chatting With Strangers

Currently, we are already on top of Borobudur temple. The atmosphere is so crowded right now. Our own entourage is now starting to split up. Of course, I am currently with Ahsan and Ruben going around the temple to observe this historic building.

"Oi Ben, look at me" Ahsan said, pointing to a male foreign tourist who may be between 22 and 25.

"You dare not talk to that bule?" challenge Ahsan.

"Haaa? Talk to bule? Pake English?" ask Ruben again.

"Yes, yes, the use of the Krama Inggil language (Courteous level Javanese is usually used by the young to the old or respected). Dare not?" ketus Ahsan while continuing his challenge.

"Okay who is afraid" said Ruben with a little hesitation but with a steady tone.

The three of us then went straight to the foreign tourist that Ahsan was referring to earlier. The foreign tourist was seen alone.

"Oh Hello" replied the foreign tourist.

"What is yur nem ser? (What is your name, sir) asked Ruben again. Meanwhile, hearing Ruben's speech in English but still medok (the Javanese logic), Ahsan was seen starting to laugh small.

"Oh my name is Simon" replied the foreign tourist.

"In English how are you?" ruben asked me a little whisper.

"How are you" I replied.

"How ar yu ser (How are you sir?" reuben asked with his medok accent.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks. Anyway, you are a kind guy huh," the foreign tourist replied with a slight laugh.

"Yes, yes," Ruben nodded as if he understood what the foreign tourist had just said, "uh what did he say Lang?"

"Hahahahaha," Ahsan immediately laughed, "What the hell are you, nodding as if understanding what he was talking about hahahaha."

"You quiet, you know what he's saying?" ask Ruben back.

"Yes obviously not hahaha" Ahsan replied.

"Wuuu then just be quiet" Ruben said.

"So he said he was fine. Then, he said that you were a friendly person, too" I said.

"Wahhh so well. I guess what hahaha," replied Ruben.

"Sengkyu... E... En... Eniwey, wer du yu kom from ser ? (thank you sir. Anyway, Where do you come from, sir?)" ask Ruben again.

"Oh I'm from England. Are you still studying speaking right now? You look little confused when we are talking, and then you just look at your friend when you are conflicted. It's like that you are asking your friend to translate what I just say right?" answer the foreign tourist.

Reuben then looked so confused and again he looked at me for signs asking me to translate what the stranger had just said.

"Wahahaha he was right, it was time to change Lang's place," Ruben then immediately pulled me to switch places with him (talking to the stranger).

"Ehhh?" I said that I felt surprised because I had to take turns with Ruben chatting with the stranger, I mean why even me? It should be Ahsan.

"Yeah, you are right Simon. He is still studyng English. I'm so sorry, we are so sorry if we disturb you (well, you're right Simon. He is still learning English. I'm so sorry, we're so sorry if we bother you)" I said.

"No, I'm not. Anyway, I'm so happy to meet you guys. It gives me some experiences to talk with Indonesian, and I enjoy it (so anyway, I don't feel bothered. It gave me some experience to talk to Indonesians, and of course I enjoyed it)" Simon replied.

"Oi the Galang ama bullenya again talking what is yah?" ruben whispered to Ahsan.

"So, do you come here alone, Simon? (So, did you come here alone, Simon?)" ask the stranger again.

Ahsan and Ruben were now only seen nodding and occasionally chuckling.

"Anyway, I wonder how old are you. I guess you are between 22 to 25, right? (by the way, I wonder how old you are. I'm guessing that you're between 22 and 25, right?)" ask me again.

"Yeah, you are right. I'm 24 this year (yes, you're right. I'm 24 years old)" replied Simon.

After finishing talking with the foreign tourist, the three of us again continued our explorer in this Borobudur temple. Currently, we are looking at reliefs carved on the walls of the temple. These reliefs are like describing a continuous story.
