See You Tonight

See You Tonight
Chapter 5: Friends of the Little One

Grade 10-7.

"Well, your voice was so good, Ris, you seem to have a talent for singing" praised Ayu, the class leader.

"Thank you hehe, but I still have a lot more practice. Especially to strengthen my mental and my confidence. Fortunately earlier I did not forget the lyrics on stage hehe," reply Risa who now looks very relieved after before she appeared quite tense.

"Good job Ris," praised Aji the vice-chairman of the class as he gave his thumbs up.

"Wahh good sekaleeee your performance was Ris, I became fans with you ahahaha," this time it was Wita's turn to praise.

"Thank you Aji Ama Wita. Without your support I wouldn't be able to perform that way."

Actually, I wanted to give a compliment to Risa but it feels like I have never done that from Junior High. So, I'm a little confused as to how to start. I also only noticed people praising Risa from a distance.

I wonder if we've been allowed to go home or not. I don't know who to ask about that either. I feel like I'm a stranger in this class. I promised my mother I would be friends with everyone. It seems hard to start.

I also chose to remain silent and sit by while waiting for Tora's arrival. If Tora can go home, then I have. We made this agreement after the art stage was over.

"Castel?? The one by Gilang's window, right?" suddenly one of the students called my name while walking towards me.

"Y-yes, why?" I answered with surprise.

"You rarely speak... Have you started to know others in this class? It looks like you from yesterday alone continue," he added, who is now sitting in the chair next to me.

"Woi Lang's... Let's go home..," cried Tora who was suddenly at the door of my classroom.

"Oh yeah, wait... I'll be right there, "I'm trying to yell so Tora can hear my voice.

"Sorry, my friend is waiting for me" I told the student sitting next to me. I haven't even gotten to know her name yet.

"Oh well," he answered briefly.

After that, Tora and I went straight home.

"Where's your class?" ask Tora.

"Nobody is special. Just as usual at Junior High," I answered flatly.

"Is that so? You haven't changed well Lang haha," Tora smiled slightly. "Would you stop by for a drink?" continued again.

"Can" I replied.

We went to a small shop that sold drinks in bottles. Tora as usual always buy mango-flavored drinks. He seems to like mangoes.

"Do you like mangoes?" I asked Tora who had started drinking.

"Enakkkk, yes of course I like it. Mango is the best fruit I've ever eaten" Tora seemed to enjoy her drink. "It feels like a long time ago we didn't go home together like gini" he continued.

"Yes it seems so," I replied as I stuffed my drink into the bag.

"You didn't drink it?" ask Tora.

"Later, I'm not thirsty."

"How weird are you, why do you buy that drink if you don't drink it now? You never change, haha" concluded Tora. Then we continued our journey home.

I've known Tora for more than half of my age. In the past, we used to play together with our childhood friends. In the past, it felt like I was very easy to be friends with anyone, but since Junior High I have been like a different person. It is very difficult to start a friendship with a new person.

Today is also so. I should have been able to congratulate Risa, or at least be able to ask the name of the woman who greeted me earlier. It seems, today I have not been able to become more familiar with my classmates.

"Oi why are you daydreaming like that? Is there a girl you like in your class? At least don't daydream like that, danger if you stumble over something" asked Tora who saw me start daydreaming while walking.

"That's right you're in love?"

"where possible. I don't even have any friends in my class yet."

"Hahaha you haven't changed yet huh? Why haven't you made friends yet? Do the people in your class hate you so much that you have trouble making friends?"

"No, no, it's not. The problem is with me. It's hard to open a conversation with someone new."

"That's so. I think you just have to dare to start."

"Is that so? Yashudah, I'll try tomorrow."

Without feeling like we were in front of my house.

"You wanna stop by Tor for a second? Hana might be happy to see you after not seeing you for a long time" I asked as I tried to persuade Tora to stop by.

"Maybe, I don't have any activities this afternoon anyway" he replied.

We also went straight into the house.

"I'm home" I said as I opened the front door.

"Welcome dat-, uh brother Toraaa long time no see. Hana kangen really lohhh," said Hana who seemed to be drawing something in her book.

"Hehe hasn't seen you in a long time... If Hana kangen, can play to the house of sister Tora kok. By the way what are you drawing again?" Tora looks approaching Hana.

"Secret" replied Hana while closing her book.

"Ehhh why is it closed? Brother wants to see you," Tora tried to tease Hana.

"Secret is secret," Hana ran to her room while sticking her tongue out at Tora.

"Hahaha your sister is funny, Lang" said Tora again

"Yes that's it. Oiya you haven't had lunch yet, have you? Wait, let me cook for a while, "I tried to offer Tora a meal.

"Don't bother haha, but if you force me I won't reject him hehe," Tora replied with a small laugh.

"Who is forcing... Yaudah wait a minute... Or maybe long enough. If you're bored you can play the piano or watch tv or sweep or fall asleep in my room. Think of it as your own home" I said as I headed for the kitchen.

"Hahaha what the hell," Tora replied as she headed for the rarely used piano.

Tora loves music. He can play all kinds of musical instruments. His favorite band is Green Day, Punk Rock. But he also likes to play other genres of music.

I started preparing cooking ingredients. I'll make an omelet so that it doesn't take too long to keep Tora waiting. I'm also gonna make Hana an omelet, like she hasn't had lunch yet.

After I finished cooking, I ate it with Tora and Hanna. It feels so good to be able to give something to someone else. Tora and Hanna are also seen enjoying the food even though it is just an omelet plus rice.

After I finished eating, Tora and I played the game until it didn't feel like it was almost dark. Tora was ready to go home.

"Hahaha you are still good at playing the game too. Next I will not lose. Yaudah, I say goodbye first. Say hello to your mother well.," Tora immediately rushed to her house.

When dark time will replace light, indeed the most comfortable place is at home with the closest people, while waiting for dinner dishes.
