Chapter 62: After the Match

After the game, the two teams shook hands. A very good match until the last second of the match. After that, we sat back and relaxed while resting and chatting with each other.

"Why are you late?" my question cuts through both of them.

"I told you that, we were late because of that stupid Ruben," Ahsan replied.

"Of course because you're lach. Because you bought socks first while we were out here, we're late, right? Don't you remember that? You remember, right?" ahsan.

"Of course I still remember, but it wasn't all my fault either. I bought socks first because you burned them, right?" Ruben tried to defend himself.

"And I accidentally burned your socks," Ahsan replied in an innocent tone and whistled a little.

"Oh yes, I guess why," I said again cutting their debate.

"But because of that, we came to know why Risal did not come today" Ahsan said suddenly about Risal.

"Eh, do you really know? Then why didn't you guys answer Fahmi's question?" ask them.

"If it's a matter of that, we've actually promised Risal not to tell the others, so we were pretending to know nothing" Ahsan replied in a slightly wailing tone.

"Oh so well... Yaudah how else," answered me who was actually very curious about the reason behind Risal's absence.

As the sky grew dark and cloudy, we decided to go home soon. The lights of houses and shops have started to turn on. I paddled my bike so quickly that I left Ahsan and Ruben behind.

When I got home, I took a shower and had dinner with my mom and Hannah. After dinner, I helped my mother wash the dirty dishes. Next, I headed straight to my room and immediately rested while sleeping in my room. While resting, I also thought about Risal who was not present at the match and the reason he had to work at the sports store.
