"Are you sure you won't invite Bima, Dev?" Iren looked at his son seriously.

Devan let out a long sigh as he looked towards the woman who gave birth to him.

"I don't want Renata to see Bima, Ma."

"Why? Didn't you say Bima was married?" Iren looked at his son in wonder.

"You're jealous if Bima comes and meets Renata?" Iren continued while looking at the worried-looking face of his son.

"Bima married her because she had to, Ma. She doesn't love him."

"really?" Iren closed his surprised mouth.

"Yes, Ma. He even got married not until a month after Renata's departure with us." Devan looked at his mother.

"Then? What does Bima's marriage have to do with Renata?" Iren asked back. The middle-aged woman wanted to know what exactly her son was worried about.

"Even if Renata agrees to marry me, that doesn't mean she really loves me, Ma."

"What do you mean, Dev? You doubt Renata?" cry Iren.

"Ma!"

Iren immediately shut his mouth as Devan reminded him not to yell back.

"I'm just not sure about myself. Renata loves Bima very much. There was no way he could so easily forget that man in his heart." Devan gave a long sigh.

"Darling ...." Iren grabbed Devan's body into his arms. The middle-aged woman knew how much the son loved Renata.

The man was even willing to sacrifice anything for the sake of the woman. It would be unfair if Renata was insensitive and just pretended to love Devan.

"I was afraid that Renata would change her mind the moment she saw Bima. I'm so scared, Ma."

"Why are you talking like that, Dev? You have to be confident. If you feel that Renata does not love you at this time, you must keep trying to make the woman really love you. Not even giving up like this." Iren patted Devan on the shoulder.

"You have to fight for Renata's heart. She will soon be your wife. I'm sure Renata will be a good wife to you." Iren was again advising.

"Don't think too negatively. You're getting married soon. You guys talk about it. Don't let anything be hidden between you."

Devan nodded in understanding. What my mother said was true. He was too worried about something that might not happen.

"Mama, Devan, are you here?" Renata smiled when she found her future husband and in-laws sitting in the gazebo in the back garden.

Iren smiled looking at Renata. "Your mother used to want to drink tea, but right through the garden, I saw your future husband sitting alone here like a fairy." Iren chuckles. The middle-aged woman who looked still beautiful took the cup containing her tea.

One hand pat Devan on the shoulder. Giving the man a code to tell Renata all his problems. Devan nodded with a smile.

"Mama go first. You guys relax here for a while."

"Yes, Ma." Renata smiled as she looked at Iren's departure. The woman gasped in shock as Devan suddenly pulled his hand then raised his body up on the lap of the handsome man.

"Devan!" Renata hits Devan's arm making the man chuckle then hugs the woman he loves so much from behind.

Breeze blew on Renata's long hair. The woman leaned back her body making Devan even tighter embrace her.

"Devan."

"Hm." Devan puts a kiss on the woman's cheek.

Renata took a long breath. "Promise, won't get angry?" Renata turned to look towards Devan. Look at the man's eyes carefully.

Devan stroked the beautiful face of Renata who was only a few cent away.

"What's wrong? I promise I won't be angry. Whatever you're gonna say." Devan looked at the woman he loved so much with a pounding heart. For some reason, Devan was scared.

Devan ventured into a glimpse of Renata's red lips.

"Don't make me–"

"Can you not invite Bima into our marriage?"

"Ap–"

"I beg. Can you not invite Bima to our wedding?" reset Renata.

"Why?" Devan was a little surprised and grateful.

"Jawab first my question." Renata's lips are pursed.

"Yes, honey, whatever you want, I'll do it." Devan greeted Renata's pursed lips with his.

"Right, you wouldn't invite him?" Renata's face turned relieved. Really am! He is not ready to meet a man when his love for Devan has just grown.

Devan nodded. What Renata said was the answer to his anxiety these few days.

"I didn't want to invite him."

"really?"

"Hm."

"Why don't you want to invite her?" Renata looked at Devan who instantly averted his gaze.

"Why?"

"I'm scared."

"Fearful?" Renata forced the handsome face to look at him.

"I'm afraid you still hold feelings when you meet him. I–I'm sorry." Devan lowered his face. Not daring to look towards Renata who looked surprised.

His two hands that were coiled around the woman's waist tightened. Devan hugged the woman tightly.

"I'm sorry." Devan says softly.

"You don't trust me, Dev?"

Devan shook his head.

"Then?" Renata raised that handsome face to look at him.

"I'm not confident. I'm afraid everything is just a dream. I love you, Ren. From the beginning until the end. I will always love you. I was afraid after this you left me."

"Devan, what are you saying?"
