Meet Again

It has been a month Liliana returned to Jakarta, nothing meaningful happened, such as meeting with Dimitri or Kevin suddenly. Nabila still seems to hide his existence. Her phone rang making Liliana who was reading the file on her desk look at the screen of her phone that displays Reno's name on the screen.
“Halo Ren,” greet Liliana.
After hearing a few sentences that Reno said, Liliana immediately turned off the connection and cleaned up her belongings. “Yu, empty the schedule I made today huh? I have to go to the hospital,” Liliana said as she walked out of her room.
“Mbak pain?” asked Ayu who was also directly standing up from her chair. He was afraid that his new boss was suddenly sick.
“Not, my temen. I will probably permit until night, you please take care of the rest, yes?” Without waiting for Ayu to answer, Liliana immediately ran towards the elevator.
Reno just told him that Nabila is in the hospital. Actually, it is still three days until the time of delivery is expected by the doctor, but apparently after re-examination, nabila amniotic fluid has broken and there is no hope for his best friend to give birth normally.
It took thirty minutes to reach the hospital where Nabila was treated, lucky to still be ten in the morning and the streets were quite empty. Liliana went straight up to the sixth floor of the place where Nabila was in surgery. There was no feeling whatsoever that Liliana felt, she was only worried about the state of her best friend.
Nabila really wants a normal delivery, so that she can feel like a full Mother, but it seems her desire has not been able to be granted. Besides want it normal or surgery, Nabila will still be a great parent for his son later.
“Reno,” Liliana said when she found Reno waiting anxiously in front of the operating room.
“Li, Nabila has just entered, said his operating doctor will not run long.”
Liliana could see the worry on Reno's face, and all she could do was calm the man down. “What are your parents?”
“They were all on their way here again, they came straight here after the plane landed.”
Liliana just nodded her head. Nabila's parents live in Jogja just like Liliana's parents, and Reno's parents are in Singapore on business. That was all Liliana knew about both of their parents. Liliana was also only able to sit waiting in front of the operating room anxiously. May the mother and child in the room be safe.
Liliana heard the approaching footsteps, she turned her head towards the corridor from the sound of the footsteps, and what she saw made her hold her breath. A man he shouldn't have met for now. Liliana was only able to sit in her place staring at the man who was also looking at her in shock.
Reno got up to greet Dimitri. Even before the age of Nabila content increased, Dimitri always invited Reno to contact him. Dimitri wanted to see his first niece for the first time. And here is Dimitri now.

Reno immediately followed the sister without saying anything more, perhaps too happy and also worried that mixed into one. Only Liliana and Dimitri remained after the two sisters and Reno left the place.

Nabila has been moved to the hospital room, the baby is very healthy and has been with his mother. Liliana has entered for a while to see her best friend who has officially become a mother and also her first niece. He is very happy, his best friend who used to be with him now has become a parent.
Liliana sat in a chair in the corridor right in front of Nabila's room. It was the turn of both Nabila and Reno's parents who saw their first grandchild.
“Drink?”
Liliana looked at the source of the voice, and found Dimitri who was holding out a canned drink for her. For a few seconds, Liliana simply stared at the helping hand, then she accepted it. “Thank you.”
Dimitri sat in the same chair, two empty seats away from Liliana's seat. The distance made the two even more awkward. There was no talk after, both of them were busy with their own thoughts. Liliana simply held the canned drink in her hand with mixed feelings.
This was the first time Dimitri was unable to say anything to a woman, he also had to take a considerable distance with the woman he had longed for. It is very unexpected, he did not expect to meet Liliana as soon as—during—ini.
“I didn't know you were close to Nabila,” Liliana said breaking the silence. His gaze remained fixed on the canned drink in his hand.

“Better.” Liliana did not want to be cold or cruel to Dimitri, she just wanted to limit herself. He did not know what the man's current situation was, he just followed what his brain ordered instead of the heart.
He has learned a lot from the past. If he uses his heart too much, then only heartache will he feel, so this time he will follow the orders of his brain to be more rational. But since when is love rational?
“Looks like I should go home, say hello to Nabila and Reno.” Liliana moved out of her chair. He knew sooner or later he would meet Dimitri, just that it was too sudden and Liliana had no preparation whatsoever to face this man.
“Liliana.”
Liliana stopped, but did not turn her face. He was not ready to look at the man's face. “It's nice to see you again,” Dimitri said.
Dimitri looked at the back that walked away from him wistfully. After all, he also did not expect anything when he met the woman again. He realized there was a change in Liliana. Of course, time goes on and man changes too, he also begins to change a little.
He had wanted to ask the woman for contact, but kept her out. He doesn't want to be stamped more and more of a jerk. Seeing his face was enough for now, he also did not want to re-force his ego to return to having the woman. His ego was still asking to have the woman completely, but he was aware of how her current position was.

“Mel, I met ‘dia’,” said Liliana with a phone in her ear.
After leaving the hospital, he decided to return to his apartment. After all he had asked Ayu to vacate his schedule today, he could not focus on continuing the work in this condition. So, he decided to call Mela.
“The guy you told me about?”
Liliana nodded her head, but realized Mela could not see it. “Iya.”
“Then?”
“We met by accident. I don't know, it feels awkward. I can't face him for longer. I..fear.”

“Face him, Li. So that your heart is calm, stop worrying about something that you do not know has happened. If you shut up and the guy does the same thing, I'm sure none of this will be over. And you will continue in your bad thoughts it.”
Mela was right, Liliana did have to deal with it at any cost. As he had to do whatever else to avoid Dimitri, he was just not ready to face the man.
“But now, then you can be happy later. Don't constantly push your work to divert Li's mind, I'm watching you from here.”

Liliana cut off the phone. Mela is like Nabila who is very chatty, but she likes it. The indifference in his possession must be balanced with chatty friends like Nabila and also Mela.

“Yes, I didn't know we were going to meet suddenly like this.”
Nabila looked at Dimitri doubtfully, he participated in this accidental meeting. If he had told Dimitri yesterday that Liliana had returned, it might have been something like this to avoid. But, he also wants to protect his best friend who has tried hard to close his access to Dimitri.
Although Dimitri has changed for the better, Liliana who was the longest with him and Nabila will not be able to betray Liliana.
“I'm sorry for not telling you. I'm sure Reno is too worried to know your situation. We really mean to bring you together like this.”
Dimitri smilingly looked at the guilty-looking Nabila before him. “I already know the truth about you hiding Liliana from me.”
Nabila turned to hear Dimitri's words. “You know?”
“Yes. You're Liliana's only friend, and there's no way she's not connecting with you.”
“But you are silent, why didn't you tell me?” Nabila was surprised by Dimitri who was getting longer and more changed. Dimitri who never did this, he will force Nabila at any cost, until he is able to find Liliana. Not just staying as he is doing right now.
