Previously wanted to update tomorrow only, but so tomorrow can type the next part calmly, I update now only. **Oh yes, this part and so on I will use a third person point of view, so don't get confused

Happy reading^**

It has been two weeks since Liliana filed for her leave, if not a hitch then the woman will return to work the next day. As things went on as usual, Michelle still frequented Dimitri who always rejected her, the girl was always heartened to accept all of Dimitri's treatment of her. Whatever

it happens that they are engaged, their parents have planned a wedding date, and Dimitri can't keep avoiding it.

Kevin did not comment much on what happened, his cousin had indirectly determined his own life. He knew how stupid Dimitri could do nothing about the decisions of the two families. Dimitri should be able to fight for his feelings, whether what is entering the man's mind.

In the office where he works there is a kind of LED screen that displays the status of employees who are on leave or have just stopped. The screen will display the name, position, and also the current status, whether it is not working or on leave. Kevin stood in front of the screen and read the name of someone who had just been on leave yesterday.

He looked at the screen long enough, hoping it would show the wrong writing. But no matter how long the man looked at him, the writing did not change. Kevin pulled out his phone and pressed the dial on the number on his phone. Once he tried it, only the voice of the operator replied,

until the third time, the voice of the operator still acknowledges it, a sign that the number is not active.

Without wasting a long time, he immediately dashed into the elevator. His mind suddenly became confused. And his smart head immediately thought of strange things that might happen because he did not get any notification about the notification.

No knock on the door, Kevin barged straight into Dimitri's room. The man was already struggling with his work this early, he looked shocked at Kevin who suddenly entered his room with a breathless breath.

“What's up?” Dimitri again scrutinized the paper before him without looking at Kevin who showed a worried look.

“Liliana...not working here again?”

“What do you mean? He's on leave, tomorrow he'll be back to work.” Dimitri now looked at Kevin, who was still trying to catch his breath.

“Yes, but what happened to the screen in that lobby? Why is it written that Liliana is not an employee here anymore, starting today?”

Without a second thought, Dimitri immediately dialed several numbers on the phone located close to him. “Ke my room now.”

After waiting for a few minutes, the waiting person entered Dimitri's room. Meta, the head of personnel responsible for employees and the status listed on the screen in the lobby. Meta seemed to know what was going to happen to him, he brought a brown envelope and looked at Dimitri and Kevin with

the guilt.

Cursed was Liliana who asked him to ask this.

“I want to resign after leave, Ta, you can take care of it for me?” Liliana handed over the envelope that read the resignation letter to Meta.

Meta received the envelope. “Suddenly like this? You should talk to the Board of Directors and Mr. Dimitri first, then you can see me again.”

“I can't do that right now, that's why I'm asking for your help. I have arranged everything, handover files have been completed and asked Eka to save it and submit it to Dimitri.”

Meta looked at Liliana a long time ago, he had not worked in this company for long, but his experience as a personnel was long enough. “You should do it according to procedure, Liliana. Although we are friends, it does not mean you can use our relationship for personal gain.”

Liliana got to know Meta who was four years older than her through Nabila. The woman before him was Nabila's senior at his faculty and several times they had been out together.

“I have done everything according to procedure, the resignation files have been completed for my next replacement. I'm just asking you to take care of his agreement with Dimitri and the Board of Directors. Please help me, this time only.”

That day Meta should not accept the ridiculous request of Liliana, now he who has trouble arranging the resignation of the woman. He spoke to the Board yesterday, minus Kevin and Dimitri of course. They agreed to it because Meta had already shown the documents and handover files Liliana was working on and along with reasonable reasons for Liliana's self-abuse.

Meta is not sure the real reason for Liliana's resignation. Liliana only said personal reasons, and Liliana could not yet say those reasons on Meta.

“What do you mean Liliana is not an employee here?” asked Dimitri coldly.

Meta closed his eyes, facing the Board of Directors was easier than Dimitri. He'll make sure Liliana pays him for everything he does for the woman. Meta handed him the envelope he had brought.

“Liliana submitted her resignation letter two weeks ago, the Board of Directors has agreed to it and is selecting several suitable candidates to replace Liliana. The handover file was completed before he submitted the resignation letter.”

“Without my approval? Does Liliana not understand the procedure? And why did you take it for granted without talking about it with me?”

There was no angry tone in Dimitri's voice, but Meta could feel how cold and sharp the tone was. This is worse than Dimitri's anger.

“I'm sorry, but there's an urgent personal matter going on with Liliana, so she can't talk to you. I only represent it.”

Kevin, who has not spoken since, seems to be starting to understand the situation. He looked at the guilty-looking Meta and Dimitri whose eyes had been emitting flames of anger since hearing the news of Liliana's unilateral resignation.

“Bu Meta can come out, I want to talk to Mr. Dimitri.” Kevin looked at Meta who was also staring at him, then looked at Dimitri who had already turned his gaze in the other direction.

“Then I excuse you, Sir.”

Without waiting for Dimitri's reply, Meta immediately walked towards the direction of the door. If he stays in this room longer, he believes tomorrow he will resign voluntarily. Dimitri's aura was too intimidating if he was in his rage.

“You know about this?” dimitri asked Kevin who looked calmer than first when he told her about Liliana.

“What do you mean?”

“To avoid us. You have not realized your mistake either. We're the ones who put Sister Liliana in this position, I should have realized when she asked us to gather.”

Dimitri was silent in his chair. He knows what he has been doing all this time. It seemed that he had hurt the woman too deeply, but he had asked her many times to trust and wait for her.

“Have you contacted his parents? I'm sure he's there, or try to call Nabila. We should talk to him.”

Although not showing directly, and only showing a flat face, Kevin knows that Dimitri is very anxious. He knew this man loved Liliana very much, and he had been very affectionate about her nature all along. He did not oppose the engagement, nor did he ever explain the situation to Liliana.

In the end Liliana was stuck in their complicated situation without knowing what her role was. If Dimitri would just struggle a little with his feelings, Liliana would definitely not have left like this. Although painful, Liliana can at least understand a little and there will be no misunderstanding like this.

“Then what? You just thought about explaining everything to Sister Liliana? Isn't it too late? Even if you can meet Kak Lili now, the situation will not be the same. I'm more pleased with the choice taken by Kak Lili, not only you who are hurt here, I'm sure Kak Lili's pain is also greater than you.”

“I haven't said anything to Liliana.” Dimitri stared blankly at the papers before him.

**

Liliana's been missing for a month now, with absolutely no word from the woman. His parents also seem to have no idea about Liliana's disappearance, at least for Dimitri. It seemed that only the man knew nothing about Liliana, he even checked domestic and international flights on behalf of Liliana, but there were no clues at all.

The apartment in Liliana also turned out to have been sold, there was no trace at all about the departure of Liliana. If asked how disappointed Dimitri was, Dimitri would probably answer, for all his love for Liliana.

This time he really hopes that the only friend Liliana—Nabila—knows about the existence of the woman. Dimitri had made an appointment with the woman that afternoon at the magazine office cafeteria where Nabila was. The woman was pregnant, that's why Dimitri relented and met Nabila, he was also self-conscious because at this time he was the one who needed Nabila.

“You...looks screwed.” That was the first sentence Nabila said when he saw Dimitri. The man's good looks did not disappear just because of the dark circles under his eyes, but it made him look messy as usual.

Dimitri smiled at Nabila's words, he himself was very aware of his current appearance. Although the shirt and suit were still neat, the dark circles under his eyes had already shown how exhausting the day this man was living.

“You look prettier than usual, it seems true that pregnant women will look many times prettier.”

Nabila blushed to hear the compliment coming out of Dimitri's mouth. However, Nabila was among the girls who praised Dimitri's good looks, regardless of how depraved he had been in the past and present.

“If you want to ask about Liliana, I don't know about it either. Last time, she just congratulated me on my pregnancy, nothing else she said.”

“Ah, so.”

It seemed like for the umpteenth time, Dimitri had to go back to swallowing that disappointment. It seems like this is the karma he got for hurting the woman he loved so deeply. It's still hard to accept that, but he will learn to accept it. After all, things were not on his side either. He deserves to accept all of this.

“Then excuse me, sorry to interrupt your work time. Say hello to Reno.”

Dimitri had already risen from his seat when Nabila called out to him. “Liliana. I know he won't tell you anything. He will certainly scold me for telling you this, but if I don't say it then you won't know.”

Dimitri smiled looking at Nabila. “Thank you for telling me. I'm sure he's very grateful to have a friend like you. I went.”

Nabila looked at the back that had been away with sadness. He was very sorry for the circumstances that made his friend become like this. He always hoped Liliana would get happiness if she had expressed her feelings. But his hope is only an expectation, which will not be a reality, even he must mediate the disclosure of his best friend's love.

Dimitri stepped gontai into his room. Later he prefers to sleep in the office rather than go home to his apartment. The most powerful way to get rid of the thought of Liliana is to continue working, although in the end he will return to remember how sorry he was to behave to the woman.

Even his search had been fruitless, there were no clues at all. Maybe this is how Liliana has been feeling all along. Actually without being told by Nabila that Liliana loved him, she could feel it first. That was why he always asked Liliana to believe and wait for him. He wanted to love Liliana without any hindrance.

But, it seems that it is not an effective way, indirectly he actually makes Liliana more and more away from him. The stupidest thing he ever did, and now he can't do anything about Liliana's departure.

Dimitri stared at the brown envelope Meta gave him one month ago. He hadn't opened it since then, and now he's got the envelope. A resignation letter he had never read, because he did not approve it. Free also actually because there is already a replacement for Liliana's position.

There was no resignation letter inside the large envelope, only a not-so-large rectangular envelope inside. Dimitri immediately took it out and opened it without a second thought.

Al, uh,

If you've read this and realized my departure, please don't look for me. I left because of my own will, I don't want to further destroy whatever is between us. If we meet again later, I hope we are both happy with the path we choose. Don't regret anything.

Dimitri folded the letter again. There was really nothing to think about this time, I don't know what he should be feeling right now. There was at least the last thing Liliana left for him. But, how could he not regret anything if all he did all this time was hurt the woman. He should have told Liliana everything so long ago that she didn't have to lose her like that.

Dimitri shed his tears for the first time. Her heart ached with Liliana's departure, and the woman's request further made her pain grow bigger. He could not guess at all what the woman had been feeling, but he believed it was mostly pain.

The cry grew even more bitter as Dimitri clearly saw the lightning pain in Liliana's eyes, but all he did was walk away from her. He should have paused and hugged the woman he loved, not just said to wait and believe her. Which woman will accept all that,

and now, there's absolutely no chance to make up for it all.

The dark room that was only illuminated by the table lamp was getting gloomy because of the sound of crying. The man had never cried for anything this easy before, but Liliana was able to make it like this. His heart had been given to the woman completely, without her knowledge, and now he was gone with the heart of the man.
