CHAPTER 99

Right now Sinta, Faza, and Zahra were in the family room. Sinta continued to be cold and indifferent to both because of her anger.

“Oya mah's.. I haven't told you the same about me rising. Mamah also do not thank you for repeated congratulations my year yesterday.”

Sinta remained silent. Sinta did not remember the birthday of her eldest son. But then because of Loly who reminded Sinta finally remembered. Loly also invited Sinta to buy gifts for Faza.

Faza glanced at his mama. There was no response from his mother.

As for Zahra, she chose to get up from her seat and passed leaving Faza alone with Sinta. Zahra thought that maybe the two of them would be more comfortable chatting if there was no self in there.

“Mah..”.

“You know your birthday so that morning you come to celebrate with breakfast together. But Lasmi said you were going to Paris. You know how disappointed you were when it was Faza?”

Silent faza. Faza did not tell his mother about his honeymoon and Zahra went to Paris. But Faza did that not without reason. Faza just did not want his intention to make Zahra happy ended in failure if until his mother knew about his beauty.

“You deliberately kept it a secret from mamah hem?”

Faza sighed softly. Faza did not know what to say to his mother.

“Mamah disappointed with you Faza. You prefer Zahra over mamah.” Sinta said later.

Faza shook his head in disbelief. His assessment of his mother to Zahra is still the same as it used to be.

“Mah me..”.

“Enough. You don't need any explanation from you.”

“Zahra pregnant mah.” Said Faza quickly.

Sinta was shocked and immediately silenced.

“What?” He just doesn't believe.

“Ya.. Zahra's pregnant. Her gestational age is already 4 weeks.” Faza's smile was full of meaning.

Sinta swallowed her saliva. Sinta really wants to immediately fondle grandchildren. But not from Zahra but from Loly. The woman that Sinta always considered the best to be the life companion of her eldest son.

“Not his mamah pep as soon as fond of grandchildren? Soon it will be granted mah.. Mom will have grandchildren. Mamah's first grandchild.”

Faza said with a wide smile. Faza really hopes his mother changes her judgment of Zahra after this.

Sinta did not know how to express. Zahra was not the woman Sinta wanted to be her daughter-in-law. But if it's true that Zahra is pregnant with Faza's child, Sinta can't do anything either. However, the fetus that Zahra was carrying was her grandson. The flesh blood of his own eldest son. Akbar Faza.

“Zahra..”.

Zahra had just occupied herself in the porch next door when she heard Fadly's voice. Zahra turned and stood up again.

“Fadly..” Zahra's smile was wide.

“You've returned? Where's sister?” Ask Fadly who is neat with a long-sleeved blue shirt and black pants that he wears.

“Mas Faza again chat with friends in the family room.” Answer Zahra.

Fadly nodded with a sweet smile that adorned her lips. Fadly is happy because Faza and Zahra have returned to Jakarta.

“You're still home at this hour. Not working?”

“This is me just leaving. But since there's you and brother maybe I'll put it off.”

Zahra laughed at hearing that. In that house only Fadly is able to make it into himself other than Faza. Even though his father-in-law is now well, Zahra still feels awkward.

“OK..” Nod Zahra.

Zahra sighed staring at the back of Fadly who passed away leaving her. Zahra believes Faza must have told Sinta about her pregnancy. I don't know what her mother-in-law's response was like Zahra didn't know. But Zahra hopes that with her pregnancy now her relationship and mother-in-law will improve.

Zahra again took her seat. His gaze was straight ahead. Slowly a smile was engraved on Zahra's lips. His hands gently rubbed his still flat stomach. Zahra imagined her belly would soon bulge and she would give birth and have her love for Faza.

“Mamah hope you can be a bridge to your relationship mamah and oma ya dear.. Healthy healthy you.. Born quickly. Mom will teach you many things.” Zahra muttered with a smile.

The news of Zahra's pregnancy was greeted with joy by Fadly and Akbar. Fadly even to the side of the frame so happy because soon will be an om. Fadly will have a niece that she will love very much.

In contrast to Sinta who looked urgency after hearing the news. Sinta thought that with Zahra's pregnancy, she would no longer be able to get Loly closer to Faza.

Now Faza and Zahra have returned home. Of course without Sinta's knowledge because Sinta who went straight to the room and was reluctant to meet Zahra also Faza again.

Sinta sighed. The woman grabbed her phone and immediately contacted Loly. Sinta was sure Loly had come home from work this afternoon.

“Ya Aunt..”

Sinta sighed once again as soon as she heard Loly's voice from across the phone. Sinta has to talk about Zahra's pregnancy to Loly so they can be just as good at finding a solution.

“Loly.. Where are you now?” Ask Sinta with a sad expression.

“This is me on the road going home aunty. Why?”

“It just so happens. Somebody wants aunt to talk about. We met the regular restaurant ya..”

“Oke aunt.”

Sinta stopped her phone after that. The woman rushed to reach for the bag and her car keys then stepped towards the door. When opening the door of his room Sinta was surprised to find Akbar already standing in front of the door.

“Papah.. You just wantin.” Upset Sinta.

Akbar frowned seeing his wife carrying a bag and car keys in her hand.

“Where are you going?” Ask Akbar.

Sinta gave a rough breath. The woman was about to step past her husband but was immediately restrained by Akbar's arm.

“Where are you going?” Akbar asked, repeating.

Sinta released Akbar's hand checks slowly.

“Indeed all this time you care equally mamah?”

Akbar again frowned not understanding what his wife said.

“What do you mean mah?”

“Already pah.. Mom is lazy to debate. Mom wants to come out for a second. Search wind.”

After saying that Sinta passed leaving Akbar who could only sigh at her attitude. Akbar knew his wife must be in a bad mood. Though Akbar thought Sinta would be very happy to also hear the good news about Zahra's pregnancy.

“What? Zahra pregnant aunt?!” Loly was very surprised to hear what Sinta said to her. Loly shook her head in disbelief. Loly thought Zahra wouldn't be able to get pregnant.

“Tante is confused now. Auntie wants Faza to be with you. But now Zahra is pregnant. Aunty can't do anything anymore. Aunty couldn't have done evil to Zahra to make Zahra miscarry?”

Silently, Loly clenched both hands without Sinta knowing. Loly is furious but she tries to keep covering her in front of Sinta.

“Eem.. I'm so happy to hear it aunt.” Said smiling.
