Zahra continued to follow the instructions of Cindy with Faza who was always beside her. Strengthening him and whispering words that make Zahra more confident and enthusiastic that he can go through the extraordinary process.
The process went for about an hour until finally the sound of baby crying blared in every corner of Zahra's maternity room.
Faza cried when Cindy's doctor showed him and placed her unclean son, who had just come out of Zahra's womb, over Zahra's chest that was accidentally opened.
Not much different from Faza, Zahra felt the same way. Zahra felt moved as well as proud. His struggle was not in vain. Their son was born safely without one less.
Faza was unable to hold back his sobs. Zahra's struggle really felt pressing the inner Faza. Faza even felt the double pain his wife was feeling.
“Mas our child..”
“Ya darling.. She's indisposed.. His body is fat and his cheeks are puffed up. He's handsome like me.” Faza's smile rubbed Zahra's sweat gently.
Zahra laughed without making a sound. Her body felt extremely limp now after struggling to give birth to her first son.
“Thank you, sweetheart.. You are so amazing.” Faza's whisper then kissed long ago Zahra's forehead.
Zahra closed her eyes getting the kiss from Faza. This was the first time Zahra had felt such intense pain but it instantly disappeared as her son's cries blared through every corner of the maternity room. The pain that Zahra herself could not explain. Pain that contains unparalleled happiness because behind the pain there is a pride for Zahra who is a woman who at that moment also managed to change her title as a mama.
Doctor Cindy and the nurses who helped deliver Zahra then immediately cleared Zahra and her son. And as long as Zahra was dealt with, Faza did not remain silent. Faza intervened on his own to take care of Zahra from pairing pads for Zahra to changing clothes and combing her messy female hair.
“Mas, you don't work?”
Zahra's question was like a hard slap for Faza. The question was like reminding Faza how unattentive Faza was to Zahra all this time because he was constantly preoccupied with endless work affairs.
Faza sighed then smiled and shook his head.
“Reyhan has handled everything dear.” Answer Faza calmly.
Zahra nodded her head in understanding with Faza's reply.
“Mas..” Call Zahra slowly.
“Ya darling..” Faza's saute gently stroked Zahra's already neat forehead and was back lying on top of her safe. Zahra was still in the maternity room because the doctor had not moved her to the nursing room.
“I thank you very much yah.. I've been very very troublesome and take up your time.”
“Kok you said that?” Faza frowned staring disapprovingly at what Zahra was saying.
“Yes right.”
“Listen Zahra.. What you just gave birth to is my son.. I'm your husband.. So it is my duty to accompany you, encourage you.” Sela Faza with glazed eyes on Zahra.
Zahra laughed softly. Zahra was happy that Faza could understand her role.
“Ya.. Sorry.” Said smiling.
Faza. Emotions almost got the hang of it. Zahra's words are like insinuations that again affect his heart.
The open door of the room raises a smiling Akbar while carrying a bouquet of flowers which is then followed by the Lasmi Mbak behind him.
“Papah.” Zahra's smile looked at her handsome father-in-law wearing a leather jacket and her sleeping pajamas.
“Beautiful flowers for great new mamah.” Akbar said while thrusting a bouquet of flowers at Zahra.
Zahra laughed at hearing that. Zahra then received the flower and inhaled its fragrance.
“Still yes pah.” Said.
Faza who saw that smiled happily. His papa was already fully able to accept Zahra as his son-in-law even though his papa was also briefly opposed to his relationship with Zahra. But now Akbar seems so considerate and affectionate with Zahra as his own son.
“Papah who should thank you Zahra... You have been struggling to give birth to papah's first grandchild. You know, papah saw her for a second. He's so fat and handsome. Exactly the same as Faza when he was born first.”
Akbar said with great zeal that made Zahra and Faza laugh.
Not long after that Cindy doctor and one nurse who had also helped the delivery of Zahra into the delivery room. They then brought Zahra to be transferred to the VIP room that had been prepared.
After Zahra was in the VIP room, the tiny saintly creature followed with the nurse pushing the baby box where she lay comfortably and her eyes closed.
Faza, who was impatient to hold his son, approached the nurse and took over the baby box.
“Let me just.” Said.
“Good sir.” Let's say the nurse put the baby in Faza.
Faza positioned the baby box next to Zahra's gurney. It made a smile on Akbar's lips and Zahra continued to be engraved. Faza looked very impatient to hold his son.
When she was about to grab the body of her baby Faza fell silent for a moment. Faza scratched his nape with a puzzled face.
“Pah.” Call him Akbar.
“Ya..” Saut Akbar who stood beside the left of Zahra's gurney.
“Eem.. This how to carry it?” Tanya Faza who invited laughter Zahra, Akbar, also mbak Lasmi who was there.
The ridiculed Faza could only grimace in embarrassment. Faza had never held a newborn baby before. And Akbar also Zahra knew about it so that both of them could understand it.
“Let papah ajari.” Akbar said and immediately stepped closer to Faza who was standing in front of the baby box.
Zahra shook her head with a smile that continued to adorn her lips. This time Zahra was proud of herself. Zahra was able to give birth to her son in good condition, both herself and her son. It was a pride of its own that Zahra felt. If only it wasn't shame Zahra wanted to give the trophy a tribute for herself.
Zahra kept staring at Faza who was being helped by Akbar holding his son. Zahra suddenly remembered the figure of his mother-in-law, Sinta. Zahra had not seen Sinta's figure since.
“Pah, mas.” Calling Zahra made Faza and Akbar who were focusing on Faza's first son immediately turn to him.
“Mamah is not here?” Zahra's question made the smile of Faza's lips instantly disappear. Faza did not tell Sinta.
Faza looked at Akbar who was also silent. Faza believes his papa did not tell his mother about Zahra giving birth to her first son this afternoon.
“Eem.. Hold on, let's call mamah first.” Akbar said then immediately reached into the pocket in his leather jacket.
Zahra sighed. Zahra thought that maybe Sinta did not care about the birth of her first grandchild.
