OPEN MARRIAGES

OPEN MARRIAGES
The Part 71

Outside the cabin, a thick fog began to envelop the place. Alex lit a fire, he had already prepared many pieces of wood for the night.

Dinda stepped closer to the fireplace, she seemed to have a very hard time moving her legs.

Alex looked at Dinda carefully.

Alex realizes Dinda's condition is deteriorating. He quickly stood up, then helped Dinda to sit in front of the fireplace, whose fire had started.

Alex saw Dinda's face was very pale, her lips turning blue. Dinda was shaking violently. Dinda's body temperature was very hot. Dinda fever.

Alex still wrapped Dinda's body with a blanket, because he knew later the temperature there would get colder.

At that moment Dinda pointed at her feet without making a sound. Alex then checks Dinda's leg. His feet were swollen and bluish purple.

Alex panicked, he knew he had to seek help right now. Looks like Dinda's leg wasn't just a sprain, the injury must have been worse than that. He then pocketed his phone and took the flashlight.

"Mr...! You have to hold on...!" alex said, his voice trembling in panic

"I'll turn on the generator. I have to go up now! I don't want to have to leave you alone here" Alex said, the man's tears dripping down.

Dinda wiped Alex's tears, off the man's face, nodding.

"Dinda please hold on..?!" pinta Alex weld.

Alex felt like he couldn't waste any more time. He ran out and started the engine. Soon he went back inside. Alex piled a lot of wood into the fireplace.

"I'll go first!" said Alex.

Dinda nodded.

Alex kissed Dinda's lips for a second.

"I must have returned as soon as I could with some help. Please hold on for me...!" alex said, his tears flowing. He could not bear to leave Dinda alone, with such conditions.

Alex wiped his tears and ran out. He walked up as fast as he could. He doesn't want to rest. Adrenaline spurred his heart, made Alex more powerful.

Almost an hour's drive up the hill, Alex checks his phone hoping there's a signal, to contact someone.

Several times he looked at his phone while walking. The cold temperature was not felt Alex, sweat soaked the long-sleeved shirt he was wearing.

Finally there was one signal bar that his phone caught. He quickly pressed the call button on Rudi's contact number.

"Hello!" sahut Rudi from across

"Hello! Rudi you call the ambulance, now! Call anyone who can help!

You remember my papa's cabin, the one I told you about? From the border tower about a kilometer away, I'll be waiting by the side of the road" Alex said.

"Why?" ask Rudi.

"Don't ask too many questions! Dinda accident! Now he's critical! Call for help! Now!" Alex yelled, then disconnected the call.

Alex continued to climb up the hill. Tired because walking too fast made Alex's legs a bit cramp, he stopped for a while. When it felt light, he continued walking again. ~

Rudi at that time was still parking his car on the side of the road.

When Rudi receives a call from Alex, Billy hears all of Alex's requests, and Alex's explanation is through a loudspeaker on Rudi's phone.

Rudi called the emergency number, asking for an ambulance.

While Billy called some of his acquaintances, to follow them to the place.

A little relief arose in the hearts of the two of them, because Dinda was found.

But still panic because Alex said, Dinda is in a critical state.

Rudi drove his car, they had passed more than half the journey to where Alex said.

Questions popped up in the heads of the two men.

Likewise with Rudi, he was curious about what really happened. He's driving the speed of his car.

Before passing through the border tower, Rudi had seen on the side of the road one of the tree trunks were broken and the grass around it as if it was run out clean, flat with the ground. But he doesn't care much about it.

Billy also took notice of the place, he turned around in the car seat so he could see clearly. Billy had seen a white car bumper.

Before long Rudi saw the border tower, near again thought Rudi.

Rudi slowed down the speed of his vehicle looking for a sign of Alex's whereabouts. He finally saw a car parked on the side of the road.

Rudi stops the car, then along with Billy jumps down from Rudi's car.

Alex is nowhere to be seen, the cabin Alex says he's not seen either. They both paced there. It felt like they were both waiting for a year, but there was still no sign of Alex.

About an hour later, cars arrived.

Billy who recognized the cars that belonged to some of his acquaintances, immediately dismissed them.

Billy talked to them there. While Rudi was still frowning looking for Alex.

It's getting dark. Where's Alex?

Rudi then saw the flashlight moving, from the edge of the cliff. Rudi ran towards that light.

Alex gasps, tired of walking nonstop. Alex lowered his head in pursuit of his breath, which stupefied.

"Where's Dinda?" ask Rudi to panic.

Still breathing hard, Alex saw Rudi.

"Said Dinda you were in an accident, but it looks like you're okay" Alex said "Dinda's in the cabin down there."

Alex then stood straight, though his breathing was still dull.

"Let's get down now!" exclaim Alex.

Alex leads them all down the cliff. This time Alex though tired, but already felt a little relieved, because there was already someone who could help him take Dinda, get away from it.

The journey down feels faster, than when uphill. Alex was not as tired as he was.

About an hour later they all arrived at Alex's cabin.

Rudi, Alex and Billy almost went into the cabin. Dinda fell unconscious. The girl's body is hot.

As Rudi patted Dinda on the cheek, the girl did not react at all. The three panicked to see Dinda. They're looking for a way to get Dinda up.

Finally use folded sheets, then use two long pieces of wood, made into a stretcher.

They all took turns carrying a stretcher, which contained an unconscious Dinda.

By the time they reached the top, there was already an ambulance waiting there.

Dinda was put into the Ambulance, all three wanted to come but were forbidden by paramedics. Finally, only Billy participated in the Ambulance, accompanying Dinda.

Alex with Rudi driving each car, following from behind.

So did some of Billy's acquaintances, who had helped lift Dinda earlier.

They arrived at one of the hospitals in the city. Dinda was taken to the emergency room. Alex, Billy and Rudi can only wait outside.

Billy then met his acquaintance who took him to the hospital. He thanked them. Then they leave from there.

Billy is back with Rudi and Alex. They walk around. A nurse came out to see them. He said that Dinda's leg had to be operated on.

Dinda's leg's shin was fractured, and there was likely an infection, which left her with a fever until she was unconscious.

After approval, the nurse went back inside for a while, and she and several other nurses pushed the bed where Dinda was lying, heading to the operating room.
