OPEN MARRIAGES
Part 2
The three young men rushed to the hospital where Dovi was taken.
"The accident victim on behalf of Dovi Pramudya was treated in which room, Sus?" Only Billy was still talking, then asked the nurse at the front desk.
The two girls who were with him cried incessantly to the point of not being able to say what.
"Just a second," The nurse typed something into her computer.
"You're his family?" Ask the nurse who may be wondering why only children like them come.
"Where are his parents?" ask the nurse again.
"His mother was abroad, and his father was sick. If you've heard his father say, he'll come here later," Billy had to lie.
Billy repeatedly calls Dovi's father, but is not welcomed. At first he thought that Papa Dovi was already in the hospital, it turned out that the old man was useless, he thought.
"Patients are critical. He's still in the operating room. You can wait in front of the operating room" said the nurse.
Billy and his two female friends then ran to find the operating room that was said to be the nurse.
"That, there!" said Billy.
The three of them sat in the chair there.
Not feeling calm, Billy tried to call papa Dovi again while walking back and forth.
"Not lifted!" billy said, annoyed.
He again pressed the call button on his phone.
Dinda who hugged Mita had stopped crying. He tries hard to calm Mita down. The girl stroked the back of her best friend who was still sobbing.
"Patience... We have to be patient, we hope Dovi will be okay" Dinda said. The girl did not stop stroking Mita's back.
Some time passed, the emergency lights on the operating room door had been turned off. Shortly afterwards, several nurses were seen pushing the patient's bed.
Dovi lay there still unconscious. The three friends followed from behind until finally arrived at one of the treatment rooms.
"Let the patient rest first, huh?! Don't noise! The condition is starting to stabilize but still in the anesthetic effect, so the patient is not aware" said one of the nurses who then passed out of the room.
The three young men saw Dovi up close. Mita was still crying, but she tried her hardest not to let out her voice. Only tears did not stop flowing on his face.
Dinda and Billy whisper on the couch, letting Mita sit next to Dovi.
"Papa Dovi can be contacted?" ask Dinda.
"Not yet, I've been chatting through WA as well unread," Billy looks very upset "Maybe still drunk," the young man furrowed his brows.
"I've already chatted Mama. Her mother asked me to accompany Dovi. He's again looking for the fastest flight here" Billy said.
The young man then looked at his friend who was lying and still unconscious.
Not sure if he sees the condition of his best friend.
Almost midnight, they're all still there.
"You guys just go home and take a break, let me take care of him" Billy said. He was sorry to see the two girls who looked exhausted but still forced themselves to stay awake.
"It's okay. We'll stay here. I told my parents and Mita that we were accompanying Dovi in the hospital with you" Dinda said.
"Then I'm going out for a drink, what do you want?" Billy was already standing up from his chair preparing to leave.
"America two, the same snack is up to you," replied Dinda.
Billy nodded and left.
"Why isn't he awake?" Mita is impatient, she is very anxious to see Dovi's condition.
"I don't know either. Let's wait a minute" said Dinda.
But finally the girl stepped out
"I'll call the nurse to check on her first,"
Mita was left behind with Dovi. The girl held her boyfriend's hand tightly, rubbing the young man's arm.
"You have to be strong, baby...! We promised to go to Australia together" Mita whispered softly in Dovi's ear.
The nurse checked on Dovi.
"It's okay, everything's stable. He still wants to sleep,"
After the nurse left, Billy returned with three cups of coffee and a bag of snacks.
"This drinking. There's also egg roll if you're hungry" Billy said, pointing at a plastic bag on the table.
Mita and Dinda took a cup of coffee and sipped it a little. The coffee is still very hot.
Soon a soft moaning sounded. Dovi is beginning to wake up.
"Dovi... It's us!" billy said, Dinda and Mita almost simultaneously.
Dovi opened his eyes. His eyes looked towards the sound. He saw Billy and Dinda. He then glanced to the side next to her and saw Mita who started crying again.
"Why are you crying? so I slept!" said Dovi teased his girlfriend Mita. Even though her body is not sick, she does not want Mita to be sad.
Mita smiles. He leaned his head against Dovi's. The girl was very happy to see Dovi who was sober and could still tease her again.
They then chatted casually as usual as they gathered, as if no one felt any pain.
It was almost dawn, all of them were no longer able to endure his sleepiness. They fell asleep in the hospital room.
