The Part 39
It was still dawn, Rudi had already woken up from his sleep. Slowly he pulled his hand from under the neck of Dinda who was still asleep. Rudi then went to take a shower.
When Rudi came out of the bathroom, Dinda was still asleep.
The sunlight was starting to appear outside the window. Rudi had to go to the office that day.
Rudi did not want to wake Dinda. Slowly he kissed Dinda. The girl moved a little, but was still asleep.
Rudi came out of the room.
Mbok Inah is busy in the kitchen. Rudi approached mbok Inah.
"Mbok, I'll go home first. I need to get ready for work. If Dinda wakes up, please tell her that I will try to get home and back here quickly" Rudi said
"Yes, sir!" mbok Inah sahut.
"I go first mbok!" said Rudi again. He then walked out. Then go with the car.
Dinda woke up when it was almost noon. He saw that Rudi was no longer beside him. Dinda walked out of the room.
Mbok Inah is sweeping the floor. When the old woman saw Dinda, she greeted Dinda
"Non is awake?!" mbok Inah.
"Rudi's gone home?" Dinda asked
"So Mr. Rudi went to the office. He said he would try to get home soon, and then he would come back here. Non Dinda eat first huh?! 'I have to take medicine" said Mbok Inah.
"Hmm, yes mbok!" sahut Dinda's.
Dinda stepped in front of the house, she wanted to see her car. While Mbok Inah prepares food for Dinda.
Dinda looked at the fence of her house. I think it's okay, Dinda.
He kept stepping into the garage. Dinda checked the scratches on the body of his car. Not bad in the scratch, the white car paint was peeled off.
When Dinda was busy checking her car, she could feel that someone was approaching her.
Dinda.
Billyl.
It always breaks people's mood, Dinda grumbled in her heart.
Dinda kept going around checking her car, worried that something else was broken. He doesn't mind Billy following him around the car.
"What's up?" asked Dinda who was feeling uncomfortable, without looking back at Billy, her eyes remained focused on her car.
"You just woke up?" ask Billy.
"Yes" answered Dinda briefly.
"Capek serves Rudi?" Ask Billy lightly.
Dinda turned her body to face Billy. Dinda was really uncomfortable hearing the man's words. Dinda glared at Billy. Dinda's face was sour.
"Isn't that what I said?" ask Billy again.
Dinda turned. He knew it was useless to argue with Billy. That guy won't budge.
"Why? You mad?" Billy still provokes Dinda's frustration
Dinda remained silent. He did not want to talk about Billy.
"I'm just kidding...!" billy's voice then turned soft.
But Dinda remained silent, as if she did not consider Billy there.
Feeling unconcerned, Billy approached. Billy pulls Dinda's arm, until the girl turns her body towards him.
"Let go of my hand!" said Dinda
"What the hell are you?" connect Dinda again. Dinda pouted and furrowed her brows. He shows his dislike for Billy.
"Don't get mad...! I'm just kidding." said Billy who was still holding Dinda's arm.
"Have you been better?" asked Billy in a soft voice. He brought his hand closer, and touched Dinda's stomach.
"It's over!" answer Dinda ketus. He pulled Billy's hand from his stomach.
At that moment, Mbok Inah appeared there.
"Non, let's eat first! The food is ready!" mbok Inah.
The woman saw Billy.
"Eh, there's Mr. Billy," said mbok Inah.
"Yes, bok!" dinda and Billy answered at the same time.
"Sir Billy, would you like to eat Non Dinda together?" ask Billy.
Dinda was astonished. Mbok Inah has always been friendlier and more considerate with Billy than Dinda's other friends. Billy has what privileges, until mbok Inah like more affection with him, thought Dinda.
"By Mbok, if I don't get kicked out of Dinda," Billy said casually.
Billy just smiled.
"As soon as we get in, I just want to see this first" Dinda told Inah, pointing to a scratch on her car.
Mbok Inah passed, he went back inside the house.
Dinda stood still as if glued to it.
Billy who was still holding Dinda's arm, pulled her to bring Dinda back into the house.
"Come on, don't make Inah's bok wait!" billy said
Dinda was unprepared, almost fell. Fortunately Billy caught it.
Dinda pouted looking at Billy.
"Sorry...! I didn't intentionally!" said Billy.
Dinda's face was still pouting.
Billy lifts up Dinda's body. Like carrying a child, bringing him into the house.
"Down me! Hear that? Lower me!" Dinda hits Billy in the chest, but Billy just laughs. He still did not want to take Dinda down.
Up inside the house, still in Billy's arms, Dinda still hit him in the chest.
Mbok Inah who saw the scene chuckled.
Dinda stopped hitting Billy. Dinda then looked at Inah's mbok questioningly.
"Sorry Non! Seeing Non Dinda quarrel with Mr. Billy, mbok so remembered the time Non Dinda was still in High School," said Mbok Inah who regretted laughing at Dinda and Billy.
Dinda turned to look at Billy. The man smiled broadly.
"Down me!" dinda said to Billy.
Billy dropped Dinda off on a chair in the dining room. The man was satisfied with Dinda.
The two of them then ate the food that was served mbok Inah.
After eating, Dinda went to the living room and turned on the television. Billy followed and sat there.
Dinda glanced at Billy who looked relaxed sitting on the sofa.
"Well, do you remember that?" ask Dinda
"What?" billy's Sahut
"Said earlier, he still remembers our behavior in High School" continued Dinda
Billy shrugged his shoulders, indicating that he didn't know either.
They were both immersed in their thoughts.
Linda remembered that time. Dinda and Billy are like kids. Billy likes to interrupt what Dinda is making.
Like when Dinda was planting flowers in a pot for schoolwork, Billy picked up some wet soil and rubbed it on Dinda's cheek.
The two of them were chasing in the yard. Mama's late parents usually just laugh when they see Billy pranking Dinda. While the late Papa can not be angry, at least just a head bobble.
Dinda misses both her parents. Dinda. He tried to hold back his tears. Dinda won't cry in front of Billy.
Billy knows something's wrong with Dinda. Billy's approaching.
"What's wrong? Your stomach hurts?" billy held Dinda's shoulder.
Dinda shakes. He stays down.
"What's wrong? by the way..." Billy persuaded Dinda.
"I miss papa mama" Dinda couldn't help it anymore, she sobbed sobbing sobs.
Mbok Inah half ran to Dinda.
"Why Non?" ask mbok inah.
Dinda hugged Mbok Inah.
"I miss my mom! I miss papa!" dinda said repeatedly.
Mbok Inah was crying.
Billy just fell silent to see Dinda and mbok Inah like that. He just rubbed Dinda's back.
After Dinda's cry subsided, Billy said
"You took your medicine first, and then we went to Papa Mama's grave. I want to see it too."
Billy recalled that since he returned, he had never made a pilgrimage to the grave of Dinda's parents. Whereas during his time with Dinda before going to Australia, Billy was quite close to Dinda's parents.
Billy is closer to Dinda's parents than to his own.
The man felt guilty because his mind was focused only on Dinda, and seemed to forget about the girl's parents.
