Jealousies
It doesn't feel like a year has passed. Julia lived her days with a busyness that made her think only of Arka. Julia is very happy to see the growth of Arka is getting bigger, healthy and adorable.
Julia is not alone, Nadine often comes home to play with Arka. Julia sees that Nadine has changed, she feels that Nadine does not hate her. But Nadine would go straight home if Ben happened to be at Julia's.
Ben often also comes, even Arka more and more familiar with Ben. Ben teaches Arka to call her 'Papa', which makes Julia less amenable.
"Ben, please don't teach Arka to call you 'Papa'." Julia one day is forced to reprimand Ben, because she feels intimidated if Arka thinks Ben is her father then Julia must marry Ben.
"Julia, I'm Arka's dad."
"Ben, don't joke" said Julia. Sometimes Ben likes to do things. Even now at Julia's house, Ben considers it his own home.
"Jul, what I said was serious. Whether now or tomorrow, Arka is my son. I don't care if you don't want to be my wife. But I'm sure one day you'll accept me" Ben said with a smile.
Julia also sometimes not up to the heart to reject the wishes of Ben. Ben was his best friend a long time ago. But to love Ben back, he probably couldn't.
Julia now even often felt the longing for the presence of Irfan. But Irfan rarely came to Julia's house and rarely sent messages via cell phone. Irfan's like staying away from Julia. Even Julia had seen, as she, Arka and Ben were playing in the yard next to the house, Julia saw Irfan's car stop in front of her house. But Irfan didn't stop by his house, and then left.
Julia felt maybe Irfan did not want to bother her because there was Ben at that time. Julia did not know what feelings were beginning to perch in her heart. Just a longing for the presence of Irfan or love that began to grow in his heart?
One afternoon while in the office, Julia just stared at the screen of her phone. Look at the photo of Irfan that he took while playing with Arka. I don't feel a smile on the corner of his lips. Irfan's laughter caught on camera looks very happy, but why now Irfan feels far away. Like intentionally avoiding him.
Julia calculated that if it had been almost 2 months, she had not met Irfan. Julia is eager to meet, but she is confused to find a reason to see Irfan.
Thinking hard, he had yet to find a reasonable reason. Julia was embarrassed to see Irfan but nothing important.
When she gets home from work, Julia is shocked to see Ben standing waiting for her.
"Ben, what's going on here?"
"Hello Jul, don't be surprised. Let me take you somewhere." Ben said casually and holding Julia's hand walked to his car.
"Ben, where are we going? How will my car be?" julia asked confusedly.
"Let's take your car later. Or left alone is also safe, here there is security that is on guard 24 hours. Tomorrow I'll take her to work."
Ben forced Julia into his car.
Julia finally says it, she'll see what Ben wants. As the car starts to run, Julia keeps paying attention to the streets but she can't yet guess where Ben will take her.
"Ben, don't go far, I can't go home too late. Poor Arka left," said Julia saw Ben who currently looks cheerful.
"Calm, Jul. Kan Arka is safe with her nanny. Before I picked you up, I stopped by the house to see Arka. I also played with him," said Ben casually.
"Where are we going?" ask Julia again.
"Patience, we'll be there soon" said Ben.
Before long, Ben stopped at a star hotel. Julia remembers what special things Ben brought her here. Julia remembers, at this hotel restaurant the last time they ate together to celebrate their wedding anniversary first.
Ben takes Julia straight to the restaurant. It turned out that Ben had reservations in advance, so they got the best place with a beautiful view.
The clock was 17:30, too early for dinner. But Ben said it would be hard to take Julia out to dinner together after Arka. That's why he was forced to 'kidnap' Julia.
After sitting back and ordering food, Ben just grinned at Julia.
"Jul, don't you remember what day it is?" ask Ben.
"What day is it? Wednesday, right?"
"Eh yeah? Well then, happy birthday, Ben. May you always be healthy, long life and blessings abound in your life. May God always bless you" Julia said sincerely. He had forgotten Ben's birthday.
"Thank you, Jul."
"The stadium is following yes" said Julia.
"You are already the most beautiful gift for me, Jul," said Ben with a longing gaze.
"Belgium ... You're all right, Ben." Julia just smiled and took her eyes off Ben.
Fortunately, then Julia was saved by a restaurant waiter who delivered dishes for them.
Ben and Julia are enjoying their dinner. The lights of the city began to light up in the darkening night. It looks beautiful from where Julia is sitting. The sound of the piano sounds, making the atmosphere of the restaurant become more romantic.
Julia enjoyed her dinner, but in her heart she felt anxious. Afraid that Ben would say personal things.
After he finished eating, Ben continued to look at Julia's face.
"Jul, will we be a match someday?" ask Ben as if to himself.
"I don't know, Ben. I think we leave it to fate" Julia smiled.
"Ehm Ben, we go home yuk, I keep Arka's mind if you leave her for a long time," asked Julia who really missed her baby. He had left Arka since morning.
"OK, I also want to play with Arka again."
As she was leaving her desk, Julia accidentally saw someone very familiar to her.
Irfan who is walking into the resto. Not alone, Irfan accompanied by a beautiful woman who looks very young.
Ben saw Irfan. "Jul, isn't that Irfan?"
Julia just nodded, speechless. Somehow his heart felt a little sore when he saw Irfan with another woman.
Julia follows Ben who walks in front of her and inevitably, they cross paths with Irfan.
"Hello Irfan, don't expect to meet here" Ben said.
Julia smiled at Irfan.
"Hello Ben, Julia. You guys want to go home?" ask Irfan.
"Yes, we've been since this afternoon." Julia could finally let out her voice, trying to look ordinary.
"Then we go home first. Please enjoy Irfan's dinner," Ben said and nodded at the woman next to Irfan.
Julia also said goodbye to Irfan and his woman.
Julia moved her legs quickly, like she wanted to escape from the place immediately. He didn't know what he was feeling right now. But ... does he deserve to be jealous of Irfan?
