MARRIED

MARRIED
Disillusioned

A week has passed since Nadine's arrival at her home. Julia tries to forget all her past and doesn't want to remember it anymore.

That afternoon after work, as usual Karel had been waiting for Julia. They wanted to eat together because tomorrow Karel was assigned the office to attend training for one week out of town.

Julia and Karel go to a restaurant in the suburbs. A family restaurant famous for Julia's favorite special menu. Karel always wanted to be fun and make Julia smile.

Julia orders her favorite seafood menu, while Karel follows her. Both of them spend time enjoying dinner and the atmosphere of a restaurant that is beautiful at night.

After eating, Karel sat down and just stared at Julia's face.

"Karel, why look at my face? Is there any rice left?" julia asked as she picked up the tissue and wiped her mouth.

"No Jul ... You're beautiful."

"Karel, you're embarrassing me" said Julia blushed.

"I'm not sure if I don't see you in the next week?" karel asked as to himself.

"Oh my goodness, Karel, we can videocall" said Julia smiling amusedly.

"Yes, but if videocall can't hold you ... "

"Belgium ... Carrel! Already ah ashamed of me," said Julia cut Karel's words.

"Haha if you blush looks really cute." Karel pinched Julia's cheek.

Julia and Karel were both smiling happily, enjoying being together tonight before parting ways for the next week.

***

Julia sits alone in the garden behind her house. Karel had left the city this morning. Julia felt lonely and considered whether she was home alone or going to Mama's house.

Actually Julia has a friend in the office named Nita. They often shop and travel to spend time when bored, but some days Nita is sick so Julia does not want to bother her.

When Julia decided to go to Mama's house, her phone rang a sign of a message coming in.

Julia swiped the screen of her phone and saw who was sending the message because she hoped Karel would send the message.

Julia's finger stopped, immediately he hesitated to open the incoming message because it turned out that Ben's name was there.

Ben sent a message? What's he want?

Julia weighed in her heart as to whether she would open it or not.

But after a moment of thought, Julia finally opened a message from Ben because he was afraid if it was a very important message.

- Julia, can we meet? (Ben)

Why would Ben want to meet?

Julia finally replied to a message from Ben.

- Why would you want to meet? (Julia)

- I want to tell you like we were friends back then. (Ben)

- Where? (Julia)

I am in front of your house. (Ben)

Oh my goodness ... Ben is here?

Julia ran to the front door. Ben sat behind the wheel of his car.

Ben is seen descending and walking towards the house. Julia.

"Hello Jul, "greet Ben.

"Hello Ben, come on in." Julia lets Ben in and sits on the living room couch.

Looking at Ben now, Julia looked at him just like her old best friend.

"This house looks different from when we were married Jul," said Ben who looks at Julia's house now.

All the furniture has been replaced, the wall paint has changed color. Wall decorations and home sweetener trinkets have all changed.

"Yes Ben, I'm replacing it."

I don't want any more memories of you.

"After changing this way, it feels very comfortable," continued Ben.

"Masa' anyway. Oiya, what are you coming Ben?" ask Julia who does not want to continue the topic about her home.

"Ehm ... I miss telling you Jul. I want to know how you're doing" said Ben, whose eyes seemed to be staring at Julia.

"You look happy Jul, I'm relieved and happy" Ben said, still looking at Julia's face.

"Of course I'm happy Ben. You too, right?" ask Julia.

"Jul, are you and Karel in a special relationship?"

"Yes that's how."

"When are you getting married?" karel asked.

"Haha ... I don't know Ben yet, but hopefully next year. Why why?"

"Karel is a good man. May you be happy Jul," said Ben smiling at the corner of his lips.

"Ben, are you okay?" ask Julia who is now curious because Ben switched the conversation when asking about her.

"I'm good Jul."

"You're happy, aren't you, Ben?" ask Julia again.

"Ehm ... I don't know Jul, how to measure that happiness" said Ben, whose eyes were closed now.

"meaning? You and Nadine look happy."

"Where do you know?" Ben asked instead.

"Haha .. I don't know either, it's just that you've always loved Nadine" Julia said sarcastically.

For some reason now saying it became easy, there was no burden at all in Julia's heart.

He knows that in Ben's heart, only Nadine's name is there.

"Julia, I'm so sorry" said Ben, who sounded regretful.

"Ben, stop ... All has passed, don't apologize again." Julia smiled steadily, her heart had changed. Ben is just his old friend.

"All right."

"Ben, you're happy, right? What's wrong with you?" ask Julia who is curious.

"I'm ashamed to tell you."

"Of tell me, he said he wanted to tell a story," said Julia a little pushy.

"Jul, why is Nadine so different from you? It turns out he's not as good as I thought he was" said Ben, whose eyes glared at Julia's ceiling.

"Of course everyone is different. People say that dating and getting married are very different. After marriage, it's discovered the real person." Julia was a little confused how to respond to Ben who now looked disappointed in the look on her face.

"Yes, I know, but you're the one I knew before and after marriage just like Jul."

"Haha ... It's clear Ben, of course we are friends even when we were married first." Julia can now laugh, laugh at her marriage to Ben first.

But Ben was silent and seemed to regret seeing Julia who was still laughing in front of him.

"Ben .. You should laugh. Now it's funny yeah, we used to get married just like best friends living together." Julia is still laughing.

"Jul, sorry."

"Ben, what the hell are you doing? I'm confused myself. What did Nadine do to you?" asked Julia who was really very curious at the moment.

"Nadzine ... Agne ... He has lied to me" Ben said sadly.

Julia just kept quiet and waited for Ben to continue what he wanted to say.

"It turns out Nadine was already unholy when she married me" Ben said in a soft voice.

"But if you love her, it's not all that important." Julia was confused as to what to say.

Isn't something like this not worth telling even friends?

"Come on Jul, but Nadine should have told me first. I'm really disappointed Jul. And it turns out that during the breakup with me first, when she disappeared, she became a second wife," explained Ben with a disappointment that was very visible on his face.
