VENGEANCES
The sky was dark but the stars, the moon, and the light coming from the surrounding buildings seemed to glitter in Jenny's eyes. She missed her apartment, it had been almost two weeks she was hospitalized. And now can enjoy the comfort of sitting on the balcony of his apartment. Lucas was next to him. Lucas actually decided to move back out of concern for Jenny.
Jenny smiled at Lucas. “I'm glad you're here.”
“I'm much happier to be watching you back from a short distance,” Lucas drinks wine in his hand and puts it on the table.
“My birthday is two days away, I will celebrate with Ruby.’
Lucas looked at Jenny. The wounds had dried up, the bruises were barely visible anymore. “Stop, please. Stop being evil and hypocritical. I want you to be okay.”
“Tell the hypocrite. Coming from you? Stop pretending like I'm really stupid in your eyes. Because I'm not.”
Lucas sipped back before looking at Jenny. He was confused by that statement. “What do you mean?”
Jenny pulled out her phone scrolling through it like she was looking for something and threw it at Lucas. Lucas stared at the phone for a moment before picking it up. His eyes seemed to focus for a moment. Lucas looked calm but his heartbeat was racing in his chest. He felt the world turning. The nausea took hold of his stomach.
“You are also injured, even very injured. Am I right? No, I shouldn't have asked you. You always kept it a secret from me. You're in pain. I know it. And you wish I was forever blind to your pain.”
Lucas stared back. Trying to read Jenny's mind or trying to digest everything. “What is this Jenny?”
Jenny snorted and rolled her eyes. “Please don't hide your pain. You are not fair. You know all my pain, you take care of me when I know nothing about you. You cry in the middle of the night looking at the photos of your father, mother, and brother that you even hide because you don't want to remember them too often. You even went to your family's ash storage and cried there alone. Why didn't you tell me? I believe when you said your family moved overseas all of a sudden because your company went bankrupt. Seeing you cry is the last thing I want to see. I'll kill for you. She should be grateful I loved her first before knowing her rottenness. I'll just destroy his family, not kill them.”
Lucas looked dumbfounded. He tried to open his mouth a few times but but no words came out. Perhaps, he was still trying to formulate the words he needed to say.
“Lucas ...” Jenny's tears fell but there was no sound of crying. He hugged Lucas tightly. “Seeing you cry is the last thing I want to do. I just want to see you cry tears of happiness. You're the only one I have. You're the only one who understands me and is always by my side even if I'm so fucked up. You're the only one who believes in me, when everyone turns away from me. I know, he caused your parents and brother to die. You don't have to hide it from me. Why are you acting so strong and bearing it alone? I'll make him feel what you feel. He should know what it's like to lose his family, I want no one beside him when he's down.”
Lucas' parents could not see Yoona constantly crying out of fear and embarrassment so they agreed to give up all her power. Then Yoona committed suicide because she could not resist the shame and felt guilty for the deaths of her parents. Jenny returned to her seat and waited until she felt everything was calm.
“Why?” Lucas asked almost in a whisper. His eyes were fixed on the glass of wine in front of him.

Inside was an old flash drive and a broken cassette tape. It was a tape containing a video of Ruby with your sister, and also a video of them threatening your family. Then I asked Daniel to recover the tapes and fill in the files on the flash. Of course I paid with my body. And I know where you're crying over your family photo.”
Lucas snorted, not liking what Jenny was doing, “Did you deliberately seduce Ruby for revenge?”
Jenny's eyes looked back at Lucas, the evil smile on her face slowly fading away. Jenny's face is now a face full of hate and disgust, “I was really interested and in love with her, before I knew how disgusting she was, how evil she was. I will destroy all his relationships, with his wife, and his friends so that there will be no place where he can cry but himself. He must feel what you feel. His family is fucked up, I just need to help break it. His wife was having an affair with his own best friend for years now and Ruby is having an affair with me. Ketrin and Ruby's father was a well-known businessman. It's a big scandal if business people know they're cheating on each other. I know everything. You think I'm the worst person in the world. But guess what? They all have a bad side in them. I'll make sure Ruby feels the pain of cheating and fraud.”
Lucas' mouth was stiff, he thought he had forgotten how to breathe for a while. Or he couldn't breathe at all. Everything came flooding his mind.
Jenny's tone was monotonous but very firm. She could feel Jenny's hatred just by hearing every word Jenny said. “Jen, I'm fine now. This is my problem, stay away from it. You shouldn't have done anything crazy for me.”
Jenny laughed as her tears fell\, “You'll tell me again that I should go and visit a psychiatrist? Why didn't you do it? I'm not crazy. My father\, the person who loved me the most for who I was is dead. My mother\, who I thought was a tone for me\, she couldn't believe that I was vindicated by her new husband\, she could have mistreated me. He accused me of prostitution*r. You\, you're all that's left. You are the brother I have. And I won't let the only person who loves me get hurt. Stop telling me I have to stop. You know me. I'll make sure all my plans are done.”
Lucas pulled his hair in frustration. She looked at Jenny, no sign of regret or guilt visible on her face. Ever since Jenny went through bad things in her life, she's been very different. She was sweet one time, but scary the next. He's not logical. He hates things but continues to do the same. And he always had a reason behind it. Wrong or right, Jenny is always confusing.
“Jen, no one will win in this situation. Everyone will get hurt.”
“Yes, I will make all worth or more.”
