“How long have you been there?” Lucas put my seat belt on.
“About 5 days from now.” I avoided looking at her, she had been nagging since last night when I told her I was going out with Ruby.
“Do not do strange things while there, do your job as it should. Don't think about anything else.” It's a great day and I don't want to fight with my best friend.
“Yes.., I will do my job well. Don't worry I'm not an amateur.” Reply lazily.

When we got to the runway of the private jet, I saw Ruby talking on the phone. I took off my seat belt and fixed my bag. Lucas helped me with my stuff, when we stopped a few feet from Ruby.
Lucas held my arm to make me face him. “Jenny please, don't do anything silly. You're going to make a big mess, I don't want to see you heartbroken in the end. Be professional. You can find sincere love in other ways, unlike this.”
I looked at Lucas. I could feel the worry in his voice. I love him and I know he just wants the best for me. “Because you know what's on my mind then you can tell that it's ridiculous. Now if you love me, you have to let me. And also, I think you need someone like me in your life. That is so that your life is not monotonous and you will not be impotent.” I meant to comfort him and calm him down. I kissed her cheek. “Jen I believe, please don't get hurt.”
“Yes, you have to trust me.”

I felt Ruby keep glancing at me as I was engrossed in watching the drama on my iPad. I'm staring.

“I know you told me that the man who accompanied you at the party was Rania's boyfriend, and he was your best friend. It was a little dark that night, was he the same person who picked you up at the office and drove you to the airport?”
I looked into his eyes, I guess he was curious about Lucas. “ Yes, it's Lucas. He's an artist. He's my best friend."
Ruby narrowed her eyes. “But I don't think your attitude is like a couple, I mean you always kiss each other? Isn't that too much for a friend? ” I'm glad to know Ruby is curious about Lucas doesn't that mean she's jealous? But hearing his question, it bothered me a bit, even Daniel also said we acted like a couple. I mean, I love Lucas like my brother, is it not normal to kiss him on the cheek? I think our attitude is normal. She's my only family, looking after me, protecting me, I don't think there's anything wrong with us caring about each other. I turned my back on Ruby as she lay down to sleep. I smiled with satisfaction, there were many plans I had made for her to fall in my arms.
I wanted it and swore I wouldn't be back without Ruby in my trap.
