Everyone has made mistakes. It's a little exaggerated to say that mistakes can make you a better person because of the lessons you take. In my case, I think my past mistakes made me a coward. I buried him, convinced myself that nothing had ever happened. But sure

Daniel poured a glass of vodka into Ruby's glass. Ruby drank almost half a bottle in just a few minutes.

Daniel laughed, raising his palm as if giving up. “Your words are not wrong but they are also inaccurate. I'm used to changing partners, but it's just couples in bed. And I'm not married either, so that's our difference.”

Daniel leaned his back against the chair. “Have you thought about Ketrin cheating?

I mean at your wedding age sometimes people tend to get tired.”

Ruby's smile slowly disappeared. His eyes were on Daniel who offered him a bottle of beer. “Please don't misunderstand. I just asked.”

Ruby grunts. “Ketrin will never betray me. If there is someone who loves more among us, it is him.”

Now Daniel's smile is gone. “You know Sean and Ketrin are close friends. But, now they are even very hesitant to argue greeting.”

“No no, I was just curious about the strain of their relationship. Not them. But maybe another man? I mean, before like you were the most loyal man alive. I even thought you'd never think of cheating. But look at you now. This might be the first one, right?"

Ruby shook her head, “Many men and women try but fail. This is a first for me.

Maybe because Jenny was my assistant, we always met each other. And about Ketrin cheating, I'm not sure about that. I'm cheating on him now. I have no right to react negatively about those possible words. All I know, this is the first time I've done this.”

“Well, it's the same. You keep cheating. It doesn't matter if it's the first or the last.

The problem is, you're married and you're cheating. I can't be an example. I do have a lot of relationships. But, I'm not married. I don't want to be in a married life, where I'm going to wake up and find someone other than my wife. I mean, it's gonna make my life more complicated. I better be free, I can hook up at night, then say goodbye the next day, and hook up again the next time. It doesn't sound good, but at least, I'm not tied to someone. If there must be a family, I hope there is only me and a child, I do not want to have a wife,” Daniel laughed as he finished his last sentence.

“You're lucky.”

“I?” Daniel chuckles.

Ruby shrugged her shoulders. “You are three years younger than me, but from the beginning, you were the one who said all the right things to me. I will step on my pride now, I should have listened to you not to marry young. Even I was married when I still can't tell the difference between good and bad.”

“Don't say that, you sound so jerk. As if you are sorry about your wife and child.”

Daniel stood up and sat down beside Ruby. Patting his back for comfort. “There is no time to regret. Everything is over and done.”

“Ketrin is amazing in some ways. She is also beautiful at her age. Maybe I love him so much that I accept all his flaws, even though I want to fix them. We learn from each other, but sometimes, I wonder what if I followed my heart 20 years ago? What if I ignored the threat, defended myself and was brave enough to speak up and just waited as you suggested. Do you think I'll be happier?”

Daniel took the bottle and drank it again. Staring blankly at the wall. “I don't know. It's all been happening. I don't think it's appropriate for you to regret this moment just because you know Jenny? I said enjoy it for your affair, because I do it often. But, my limit is just getting there. Because I'm not married. Ye

“I don't want to lose my family.”

“How about Jenny?”

Ruby took a moment to reply, “I was happy when she was around. I can see what

I want from Ketrin that I don't get. I don't know. I know I'm selfish. I have a kid. But that's me, I guess.”

Daniel laughed mockingly. “Jenny might fall in love with you for thinking you're a cool grown man. You're a real asshole. Sean has to stop making fun of me, because you've exceeded me.” Sipping back the beer. “I'm so glad I'm not married.”
