“It's started,” Daniel glanced at the frustrated Ruby. He raised his index finger to signal another bottle of wine. The bartender happily put down another bottle and took out an empty bottle.
Ruby tried to hold back her tears. Something he is good at doing. “Crazy right? Sometimes love is not always enough. I don't blame anyone but myself. I had a choice but I chose the wrong one. “Kids. You hold on for your kids. You like kids,” Daniel said.

“Then be a good father. Some kind of phrase, maybe just do it for the kids.” Daniel held both his shoulders.

“It looks like I got married wrong, is that the right way to say it?” Ruby gulped down another one, emptying the glass.
Daniel sneered. “Have you considered doing marriage counseling?”
Ruby laughed cynically. Shaking head. “I've thought about it. I know what happened is not healthy. I always find fault in everything Ketrin does, while he keeps improving himself for me. I don't know how to end this. Or if I had the guts to tell him I was cheating.”
Daniel laughed contemptuously, “You have the guts to cheat, but are afraid of being discovered. It's ironic, isn't it?”
Ruby nodded her head. Daniel poured the red liquid into Ruby's glass dropping some ice. “Because your happy days will be over. Admittedly or not, for you Jenny is just a backup.”
Silence followed. Ruby understood what she was doing. She knew that having Jenny while she was married was a mistake. But deep down, he didn't want to call it a mistake. “I met Jenny at the wrong time. How I wish he was born early or I was born later. She's flawless. He's independent. He knows what he wants. He deserves someone better than a married man who is stupid and cowardly.”
“So you've fallen in love with her?”
“It looks like so.” Ruby rubbed her face rough. “I'm supposed to be at home watching movies with my family. But I chose to go and be a coward. I think getting married young and getting married if you're not ready is not the best decision. I'm now looking for things Ketrin can't give you. I shouldn't have compared. And you, I hope you're okay. I understand you did all this for Lucas. If I were you, maybe I would do the same for my brother. But I'm also sure Lucas wants you to be happy. You should talk about this with him.” Daniel raises Jenny's hand and kisses her at a glance.
“Hopefully succeeded. Get well soon, shouldn't you have a lot of strength for revenge?, so don't get sick.” Daniel stood up, kissed Jenny on the forehead, then slowly left Jenny who remained unwilling to look at him.
