8. Go home

Steven said to Willa.

"Oh my God, you made me forget that we were still standing in the street in front of the police station. Look around you, everyone is looking at us. They must have thought that we were shooting a movie. The police must be very angry because we've made a lot of people huddle in front of this police station. Do you want those cops to arrest us? Your mother also saw us behind me and she looked very angry. Didn't you?"

Willa smiled and said, "yes, he's looking at us angrily."

"I know that, we have to go home right now. But before we get out of here and into the car and into our house, I want to tell you something. It's a very important thing and I want you to keep this in your head." Steven Said.

"What is Steven? I'll listen to you well." Reply Willa.

"From now on, I don't want you to love me this much. I don't deserve all this love you've given me, and no one in the world deserves to be loved this way." Steven Said.

"But all this is out of my control and I can't control it." Reply Willa.

Steven let out a long sigh and said, "but if you continue the way you love me like this, you will go crazy, when something bad happens to me. What if...."

Willa put her hand on Steven's mouth while shaking his head and saying with a face that looked so sad.

"Please don't say that. I can't listen to him. But if that happens to you, I will ask them to bury themselves alive with you. Do you know, this thing that's on my mind can't think about it. I really pray and ask God at all times to make my death earlier than you. God knows that I won't be able to accept any of that, if you leave me first. So I really felt sure that God wouldn't do that to me." Willa said with her tears starting to fall on her cheeks.

Steven was really surprised and felt that his tears could almost have fallen because of Willa. Because Steven finally realized that Willa was completely crazy for the love she had for her husband and there was no way for her to come back again.

This is a dilemma for Steven. He didn't know he had to think about anything anymore. Speech and action, he did not know what to do or say. The more Steven tries to help Willa and bring her out of this mess, the more Willa gets into it and she gets closer to Steven.

Steven spoke to himself thinking and saying inwardly, 'why destiny is playing us when my life and his life are actually impossible to meet and unite. It's only two weeks left until my marriage to Lucy. Why did he appear at this time in my life? What exactly is the purpose of God predestining us like this.'

'However we have to go home first and then I'll think about what I have to do next.' Steven thought again.

Suddenly Steven said to Willa with a smile.

"I hope you keep being this friendly to me forever. But I know that your mother is very angry and I don't have the courage to turn around and look at her who is giving me that angry and deadly look."

Willa then looked at her Mama as she was being so friendly with Steven and said, "you're so right, my Mama's eyes are really deadly."

"So you're afraid of my mom?" Ask Willa.

"I'm not afraid of your mother. But, I just appreciate his feelings." Reply Steven.

Willa laughed very loudly.

Then Steven said, "yeah, I want to see you always laugh like this and no more tears. Aren't you tired of crying and being sad? Promise me, whatever happens you'll never cry again."

"First, I know that you're not afraid of my Mama. I was just kidding you. It's been a long time since I last joked with you. So I just wanted to joke with you. Second, I can't promise you anything I can never do."

Willa suddenly lowered her legs from above Steven's body, releasing both of her hands from Steven's neck. He stood on the ground holding both of Steven's hands looking into Steven's eyes and said with a smile, "before, when you were with me, we always walked by holding hands."

"No matter what happens, we can't let go of each other's hands. Let's get in the car and go home. Everyone, be it my mom and those cops still keep staring at us."

Steven knew full well that he had to let go of Willa's hand sooner or later because he wasn't Willa's real husband. And Willa is not his wife and he has a life of his own, where he has to continue his life without Willa.

But now Steven is forced to promise Willa that he will never let go of Willa's hand again. Steven therefore wanted to say to Willa, 'the moment this pain seeped into his heart, for he knew the consequences of his words would be pity for Willa after he left Willa.'

"Yeah, no matter what happens, we shouldn't let go of our hands to each other." Steven Said.

Willa smiles at Steven, then they get in the car and start their journey home to Steven's villa.

After an hour's drive, they finally arrived at Steven's villa.

Willa was still holding Steven's hand, and he was unwilling to let go of that hand. Then Steven took Willa to a room that looked so sweet and said, "this will be your room. There are many needs of women here. You'll find whatever you want in this room."

"So, can you let go of my hand? I promise that I will never run away from you."
