CHAPTER 69. ACCIDENT

Plok….Liona clapped her hands while smiling cynically. “Wah great yes you both know it is just slander slander and slander! Aren't you tired of living like that from the past?”

“Bad you Liona! Don't think that since you are my uncle's lover, you can be free to do as you please!” snapped Seth with a flushed face full of emotion while taking a step forward but was instantly intercepted by Liona's bodyguards.

“Stop! If you dare to hurt Madam then don't blame us if forced to be rude to you.”

“Hei! Who do you think you are ha?”

“We are the special bodyguard of Lord Reynard who is assigned to guard the mistress.” said the bodyguard stared intently at Seth. Not that he didn't know the man in front of him but that bodyguard was working and paid for by Reynard so he just obeyed Reynard's orders.

“Awas y'all! I'll make the calculations with you Liona!”

“Oke, I'm waiting for ya don't slow down. Oh yes you better go check the cctv and see with your own eyes whether your beloved is wretched because of me or because of his own work!” liona said without any fear at all. He knew very well how the couple used to play dirty games to kill him.

Liona stepped away followed by her assistant and bodyguards. Seth was silent in his place seeing the woman's departure. Before long a man Seth tells to look for cctv footage approaches Seth. “Sorry Mr. Seth. The recording I got, let's come with me cctv room to see.

While grunting angrily, Seth went with his man in the cctv room.  There it turns out to be waiting for the director of Reiki and two security people on duty. “Please sit Mr. Seth. You can directly see the cctv recording at the location of the incident.”

The man sat in front of one of the monitors, his face full of emotion and impatient to get proof of Liona's mistake. But what she saw was not what she thought, in the previous recording she saw as Vena pulled Liona's hair strong until the woman's face looked in pain.

As the footage near the river is shown, Seth's face changes when he sees a Vena who appears to accidentally drop herself into the river just as Liona is looking over the side.

Seth's eyes widened to see the incident of Vena falling into the river without seeing a large rock nearby until his head hit the stone and his body sank. The scene was so fast that it seemed that everyone was shocked, on the other hand showing a shocked and frozen Liona watching Vena drown.

“What do you think? Are you satisfied with the cctv recording? Like I said before that Liona is innocent, this is purely an accident.” said the director of Reiki.  But whatever explanation was given to Seth, the hatred that had been impregnated in his heart still made the man to blame Liona.

“This is definitely not the original cctv recording. You guys engineered the footage, didn't you?” said Seth looking at the director of Reiki.

“Huh. Nothing engineered, if you do not believe please bring this cctv recording to check its authenticity.” said the head of location security while shaking his head.

“Good. Give me the tape so I can check.” Seth said.

Reiki orders the security chief to make a copy of the recording and hand it over to Seth. He was already lazy to deal with that arrogant man. After Seth left the set with an angry face, all the crew started whispering.

“Some once Mr. Seth. Seemingly alleges that the cctv recording is fake.” said a crew member.

“What's wrong Liona huh? Why do Mr. Seth and Vena seem to hate him so much when Liona is nice and never makes trouble.”

“Alaaa...most also Vena envies because Liona is a new and beautiful actress again. Moreover, Liona is her fiance Mr. Reynard.”

“Iya. It must be jealous and envious. Isn't it said they are both sister?” said an actress chimed in.

“I heard-heard the hell he said they were half-brothers. Poor Liona always bullied Vena.”

While Liona was waiting at a cafe located next to the filming location. Reynard should have come to pick her up. He calls Reynard's phone but is not connected, Liona tries again but Reynard's phone is off.

“Report Tuan. I saw Liona's car in front of the restaurant.”

“What is he doing there? Is he alone or with his bodyguards?”

“I didn't see him, maybe he was in the vip room. I also don't see the driver outside.”

“Good! Do as I command!”

A man appears to be near the car that took Reynard to the scene of a meeting with a client. Reynard's driver was in the restaurant to eat on Reynard's orders, as he was the only driver available that afternoon until his busy schedule made him skip lunch. No one is aware of the unwanted presence there. Before long the door of the vip room opened and Reynard walked out with his client.

Seeing that his boss was out, the driver immediately left the restaurant along with Reynard.  Reynard parted ways with his client outside the restaurant. Reynard and the driver headed to the car in the parking lot and left the restaurant.

Because you have to pick up Liona to set the film, Reynard also asked the driver to take the toll road to get there quickly. While at the intersection towards the toll, a truck drove at high speed from the right. The shocked driver immediately stepped on the brakes but the brakes did not work. The driver had no other choice and then slammed the steering left to avoid a collision but the car crashed into an iron barrier and then hit a large tree.

It happened quickly and the person in the car had not been aware of the shock. The front of the car was heavily damaged and as a result of hitting a tree made the car shaken and then overturned. The driver was seriously injured and stuck in the front. Reynard, who was sitting in the back seat, crashed and hit his head. Some broken window glass hit his face.

A black car stopped in front of the cafe where Liona was waiting for an invitation. Suddenly the woman's face frowned when she saw Bastian coming out of the car, At that time she immediately felt strange and something happened. Seeing Bastian's unusual face made Liona unable to hold back anymore. “Where's Reynard? Why did you come here?”

“Sorry Mistress. Please come with me.”

“What exactly is Bastian? What happened to Reynard?”

“We have to go to the hospital now, madam. I will explain all.”

“No! What happened to Reynard? Why her?” Liona felt anxious and unconsciously her tears dripped.

“Please enter mistress. Everything will be clearer when we get to the hospital. Don't worry Mr. Reynard is fine.”

Liona sobbed, how could Reynard be okay if he was in the hospital? His heart felt pain and worry. “How about the kids?”

“They were picked up by the driver and are now at home.” Bastian said.
