CHAPTER 51. CAN'T SLEEP

In the kitchen, Liona is busy cooking for dinner. While the two children are in a room on the second floor planning a revenge mission for him. Liona took off her apron and was about to bring the plate to the dining table containing the capcay and stewed beef.  Suddenly Reynard hugged Liona's waist from behind and held a plate in her hand “Let me just take it. You're tired of cooking.” The breath and masculine fragrance from Reynard's body shook Liona's body.  Instantly he felt all his joints go limp, his heart racing. The burly hand took over the plate from Liona's hand and smiled as she watched the woman close her eyes.

Reynard put the plate on the table.  “What are you doing here? When did you come?” liona asked nervously when she saw Reynard arranging food at the table.

“Do you not want me to come to this house?” instead of answering, Reynard asked.  Liona was silent, where she might forbid Reynard to come to her house, anyway this house belongs to Reynard.  Liona developed her sweet smile despite still being nervous “The door of this house is always open for you.  You can come whenever you want.” Liona said smoothly.

“Good then! Thank you for your invitation.  I must have come here often.”

Reynard's words suddenly made Liona realize that she had spoken wrongly. ‘Sial! I just gave him permission to freely go in and out of this house.  Doesn't he have a spare key? Yeah, God. What have I done?’ he murmured inwardly cursing himself.

Liona arranged the plates and glasses on the dining table.  Reynard and Delvin sat down and Reynard's gaze could not be separated from Liona. The woman did not dare to look at Reynard.  “I'll call the kids so they come down for dinner.”

‘Call the kids? Doesn't that sound like a wife talking to her husband.  Reynard's face immediately sumringah and replied “Alright. Call our kids to eat.”

‘Yes, God.  Why is my heart beating so fast? Every time I'm around I can't control myself.’

Liona went to Elvano's room and told them to have dinner together.  Liona sat opposite Reynard.  The two boys looked at each other gesturing to each other, whether or not what they were planning. Reynard's gaze did not switch from Liona until the food on his plate was gone. This dinner was a torture for her, Liona was hungry and her heart was pounding.  After eating a waiter who knows when it comes immediately clean the dining table and wash the dishes.  As Liona moved to help the maid, Reynard's gaze seemed to forbid her.  Liona sat back down.

“Papa, are you tired? Papa's face was pale. Papa feeling less well?” asked Felicia to put the back of her hand on Reynard's forehead.  Liona looked up and saw Reynard's pale face.  On the way home, Liona did not notice Reynard's face, so she did not see if the man looked like he was sick.  Dark circles under his eyes and pale face.  Reynard felt uncomfortable and got up from his seat.

“Master..”

“Please call my name.  We are not at work.”

“Good. You why? Anything I can do for you?”

“It's okay. I just need a break.”

“Papa! Papa can't sleep anymore huh? How many days have you not slept?” ask Felicia who knows her father's situation.  Reynard couldn't cover anything from the little girl.  Felicia poured water on the glass and thrust at Reynard with an anxious look.  Reynard kissed his daughter's forehead and stroked Felicia's head. “Papa's fine, baby.  You don't worry ya.”

“Papa lie. Feli can see papa's pale face and it-under the black papa's eyes.”  Felicia screamed while crying sobbing. “Uncle Delvin, how many nights can papa not sleep?”

“New three four days,sayang.” replied Delvin glanced at Liona.  “Last time your papa can sleep soundly while at the house of Elvano.  It's been a week your papa only sleep one or two hours.” Felicia who heard it immediately cried bitterly.

“Papa lie.  Feli's not a kid anymore, I've been four years. I'm not stupid.”

Felicia started crying and ran out, and Elvano chased after her. Liona also immediately followed after Felicia. Felicia ran upstairs and curled up on the corner of the balcony.

“You are ugly if you cry.  Crying does not make the problem solve.  Do not cry yes Feli.” persuade Elvano to hug the body of the little girl like a sister. Seeing the attitude of attention Elvano actually made Felicia's cry firmer. 

“Papa hurts, brother. I don't have a mom now papa's sick. I don't want to lose Papa either.  I don't want to be an orphan. Huaaa....huaaaa...my fate is sad...huaaaa.” his wish.

“Sick? What does Feli mean say his papa is sick.” Liona stood glued.  “Honey, What do you mean?” ask Liona. “Your father how could he possibly die?” Felicia wiped her tears and looked at Liona, telling her everything while sobbing.  Finally, Liona found out what happened to Reynard.  After visiting a psychiatrist, it turns out that Reynard suffered from trauma and acute insomnia. The fatal accident that took Felicia's mother was the cause.

Reynard has been having trouble sleeping.  At first he consumed alcohol and after that he could sleep, sometimes taking sleeping pills. But his body was not reacting to sleeping pills.  Even the various therapies he did did not produce results. Doctor Ardana is a friend of Reynard and Delvin since childhood was not able to help him.  The longer Reynard's insomnia gets worse.  Until that day in Liona's old house finally Reynard can sleep soundly.

Reynard's hectic work schedule and lack of sleep affected his health.  That was why his attitude was always tense and cold.  If this problem is not addressed immediately, Reynard can be affected by various diseases such as stroke, heart, high blood pressure and even sudden death. “A—is there no treatment for your papa?”

Felicia looked up at Liona and then shook her head, “All have tried mama Liona but papa is not healed..huaaaaa.”.

Not long after Dr. Ardana arrived and went to check on Reynard.  He looked anxious as he looked at Reynard's deathly pale face.  “How many days have you not slept?”

“Four days..” he replied glancing at Liona who also looked worried about him.

“What? Four days? Why can you be careless! Do you know your physical condition?”

“I just can't sleep.”

Ardana fell silent, what more could she say. All the ways have been done, but it didn't work.  Suddenly he remembered something.  “Where is Delvin?”

“I'm here.”

“You remember when Reynard fell asleep in Liona's old house back then?” asked Ardana, the two men glanced at Liona.  “Let's go to the villa next door.” The three men went to the next villa with Felicia who was carried by Delvin. The worried Liona pulled Elvano's hand and went to the house next door. They headed straight to Reynard's room without wasting any more time. Liona circulated a glance around the room, she was amazed by the masculine design of the room.  There was soft music playing in the room and Reynard lying on the bed.  The waiter lowered the window curtain.
