CHAPTER 28. EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT

Now the car they drive is traveling at medium speed. There was no sound just silence in the car. The atmosphere felt tense and tight, Liona started writhing uneasily because she felt uncomfortable. Finally Liona decided to start the conversation “Master Bastian, may I know where we are going?”

“Wilfred Media.”

“Oh....” only that can come out of his mouth. Hearing that name alone made her breathless and imagined that Reynard would be there. No way, the Wilfred group has a lot of companies, there's no way Reynard's on Wilfred Media. Liona chose to shut up again and did not ask again. The look in his eyes looked out at the raindrops that were starting to drench the city.

Finally, the car arrived at Wilfred Media. The office building is very luxurious, in front of the building there is the inscription “Wilfred Media” with bright lights that hit the logo writing. Liona got off and walked in with Bastian and his secretary. The lobby has two large black sofas and there is a fountain in the middle of the lobby and living flowers neatly arranged in a row of white flower pots. On the wall there are a row of photos of artists who are incorporated under the auspices of Wilfred Media. At the reception desk stood a beautiful lady who immediately welcomed their arrival by lowering her head “Goodnight Mr. Bastian.”

The man simply replied with a nod. Liona glanced at the shelves filled with entertainment magazines.

“Mona, please immediately prepare a contract for Miss Liona.”

“Good, Sir. I'll bring you soon.” Mona brought Liona into the room and served her warm tea. “Nona Liona, please wait here for a moment, I will prepare a contract for you.”

“Will Mr Bastian indeed sign a contract with me?” ask Liona.

“Ya is right. Mr. Bastian came to the set and saw your acting.  According to his assessment, you have great potential in the entertainment world so he decided to recruit you in our company. I'm sure if you already know about our company. I have prepared the contract, I stay for a while to take the contract.” lau the woman left Liona alone.

Liona was still confused by what was currently happening. He knew that Wilfred Media rarely ever recruited new artistes. Mona came back with the documents in her hands. He gave Liona a contract to read first. “Please read the contract first, miss. If there are points that do not suit you, please let me know so that we can find a solution together.”

Lona read in the contract if the company would help her raise her popularity, give one person an assistant and give her a house to live in. As for the income, Liona would receive sixty percent and the company forty percent of the income she earned. The distribution of income is very profitable considering all the points in the contract are more profitable, including he is free to choose TV series and movies as he wishes.

“Ma—maaf I was surprised by the contents of the contract. Is this contract for me? Because it seems like the contents of the contract benefit me more than the company?” ask Liona who is a little hesitant, because in other companies no one would dare to give a contract that is very profitable for such an artist.

In the contract is also written the penalty if it violates the contract. If he violates every point in the contract then he is obliged to pay a fine of ten trillion rupiah. Just imagine ten trillion for one mistake. Liona chuckled at that point, how could she imagine having ten trillion dollars if she had never seen that much money in her life.

Liona held the pen tightly while rereading the contents of the contract. The point about being in a relationship, he doesn't matter because Liona doesn't think it's the moment she's just focused on her career and her future with her son.

“How is Miss Liona? Is everything okay or is there a point to change?” Mona has started to fidget because Liona has never signed a contract. If Mona failed to get Liona to sign the contract, she could already imagine what kind of anger she would receive. “Nona Liona, do you not like the contents of the contract? I am very sure, you will not find a better offer than this, all complete facilities are provided by the company.”

“Nona Mona. I will sign this contract but on one condition, I keep using my agent because he is a person who has helped me a lot during this time. His name is Hiro Abirama, he is a competent agent, he always takes care of everything for me and I want to repay all his kindness over the years by staying put. Wouldn't it be so bad if we dumped someone who has helped us a lot just because we're getting popular?”

Mona listens to all of Liona's words without blinking ‘This woman is amazing. Not only her face is beautiful but her heart.
