CHAPTERS 141. REVERT

Suddenly a thought flashed through Vein's mind, she then held her mother's hand and asked. “Where is Mr Anjas now? Did you call her?”

“I also cannot contact Anjas.” replied Hesty.

Vein's heart immediately felt bad. He walked back and forth in the room with an anxious look on his face.

“Stupid basis! Daddy's so stupid! Have you been blinded by greed? How could he possibly have the intention of kidnapping Liona's child? Did I not give you enough money? Why would he make such a big mistake? If the media finds out about this matter, I should get out of the entertainment world! If that happens, don't expect me to give you any more money.”

“Your father did this all for you Vena! Your father wanted to earn more money because he wanted to help you develop your entertainment career. Didn't you blame Liona for always causing trouble for you at the location of the shutinng? Your father intends to kidnap Liona's son and teach Liona a lesson so that she stops bullying you!”

Hesty's heart was a little cold hearing her daughter blame Adam. He held onto Vena's hand and pleaded, “Vena, I ask for your help because I can't get out anymore. Please think of a plan to save your father! After all, he is your real father, Vena!”

What plan does the mother mean? How can he find a way out to save his father? He couldn't possibly confide in his friend and tell her the problem. Then, Veena remembered something. He took his cell phone to call someone.

“Vena, who are you calling?” ask Hesty worried.

“Liona!” answer Vein. His father had not been home for three days. Something must have happened and that meant Adam's plan didn't work. It must be that Liona knew where her father was. The phone rang but after ringing for a few minutes, no one answered.

“Damn you Liona!” upset ass.

“Vena, maybe we should contact the police only.” Hesty tried to give her advice.

“No bu. We can't call the police! If we reach the police, Liona will be involved automatically. Then what will happen? As the police investigate further they will find that the father tried to molest the Liona.” child.

“If dad goes to jail then my acting career will be ruined! What about my future?”

Hesty's heart bled at the words of her daughter. He stared at Vena in silence for quite a long time. Vena felt a bit awkward being held by her mother like that. He tried to avoid the konta then with his mother.

“Bu, what's wrong with mom? Why are you looking at me like that?” ask Vein.

“Vena, is your reputation more important than your own father's life?” asked Hesty while holding onto Vena's hand.

“Mother! They are impossible..”.

“What if they dare to do that?”

“I...” Vein started to get upset.

“Vena, I know you disagree with the way your father did. But, no matter how ignorant and cruel he is, your father always loved you and treated us well. Your father has gone to great lengths to give you everything you want.”

Vena frowned again, “Mother....”.

Hesty immediately interrupted with a cold face,

“Your father has always treated you like a royal princess. Now he is in trouble and it is your duty to repay him. Do something to save your father!”

“I never said that I wouldn't help him.” replied Vena.

“Ya already! Then you should do something!”

‘How could they have killed my father? Nah! No way! Liona was a weak woman and could not possibly have enough courage to do so. But why don't you come home for three days?’ Vein thought in her heart. ‘Can anything happen to dad?’

Both Vena and Hesty did not dare to think of such a strange thing. Just as Vena was about to throw her phone onto the bed, someone knocked on the door from outside.

Tok tok tok tok

Vena and Hesty looked at each other and Hesty immediately stepped up to open the door. Farah knocked on the door. “Mistress, there was someone who rang the doorbell.”

Ring the doorbell? Wh who? Did Adam come home? Hesty rushed towards the front door and looked through the peephole vigilantly. But he saw no one outside. “No one is outside.” he said.

“So someone rang the doorbell. The bell rang a few times. I did not dare to open the door because I did not see anyone outside.” said Farah.

Hesty pursed her lips and opened the door slowly. A man suddenly fell to the floor when the door was already open.

“Aaaahhhh!” Hesty shouted in surprise. The woman opened the door wider and took a closer look. Adam's limp body sagged to the floor, eventually the man came home after being missing for three days. “My husband! Honey, you're finally home!”

Hesty rushed to help her husband to stand up. Only then did she realize something, something was wrong with her husband. Adam was still wearing the same clothes that he was wearing three days ago. There were no visible scars on his body.

But the man curled up, his body moistened by cold sweat and his body trembled in hysterics as well as his facial expression like fear.

His eyes looked in all directions wildly and his eyelids looked blue. In the last three days, Adam has lost a lot of weight and he looks very old.

Hesty helped her husband sit on the sofa in the living room. “My husband! Honey, what happened to you?” ask her with a sad voice.

“Vena! Quickly get your father a glass of water to drink!”

Vena poured cold water into the glass and thrust the glass at her father.

Adam received the glass with trembling hands. So the water in the glass spilled when he would drink it. And even worse, the water spilled all over his body making his whole body soaked.

"Dad...."

"Darling!" hesty cried while trying to help her husband. He quickly took the glass from Adam's hand and helped him drink. After finishing drinking, Adam's body no longer trembled like a few minutes ago.

"Do you want another drink?" asked Hesty in a soft voice.

"Yes, thank you." replied Adam in a very hoarse voice.

"The vein! Get me some more water for your father!" Hesty's orders.

Vein took the water and gave it to her mother. Hesty helps Ad to drink and after that Adam's lips begin to look moist and his body no longer shakes. Now that he looked much calmer, Adam sat leaning on the sofa feeling sleepy.

"Dad...."

"Don't bother your father first. Let him rest for a moment! Help me get him to the room" Hesty told Vena
