CHAPTERS 14. WHAT REWARD

“Di—where is the little girl? Is she okay?” The first thing that came to Liona's mind was the little girl she had just saved.

“He's fine,” said Delvin smiling. “That he was sleeping, from earlier he did not stop crying.” point Delvin towards the sofa. “She's tired of crying, her strength is up.”

Liona saw the girl sleeping with a thin blanket covering her tiny body.  Still visible traces of tears on his chubby cheeks. Liona let out a long sigh, she was relieved the little girl was fine.  Liona tried to sit down but one hand held her back “Don't move first!” reynard said in a soft voice. Wow.not usually Reynard talks that softly to anyone. His hand was still on Liona's shoulder.  Delvin who saw it just smiled ‘Hmm. Just say hold it. Uh..wait a minute. Didn't I hear wrong? Brother spoke in a soft voice to the woman? Wahhh...this is a great progress.’.

“Doctor said, you have to rest because the impact on your head is quite hard. Fortunately, nothing serious. But the doctor suggested that you do not move much.” said Reynard explained, again making Delvin gaping.

“Okay.  Thank you.” just deserves his head feels dizzy and his eyes twitched.

“What do you want?” ask Reynard. Liona gnashed her eyes, not understanding what the man meant.

Delvin also explained his brother's intention “Look at miss. I mean my sister because you saved Felicia, maybe you want something in return.  Please tell us, we will definitely fulfill.”

Liona did not like what she had just heard. What the fuck? Does the rich always judge everything by money? I helped the little girl sincerely and I couldn't possibly let her die under an iron pole.  Liona held onto her back throbbing head. “I don't ask for anything, just my medical expenses only.”

“Oh.  But maybe Miss has other wishes?”

“Nothing. I don't need anything.”

“Are you sure? Surely you want something?” delvin didn't believe it.

“Do you think I did that because I wanted to blackmail you? Or because I'm after something from you? Are the rich always so arrogant? I helped the little girl sincerely, I love her and I don't want anyone to hurt her, that's all!” liona said with annoyance.

The two men glared to listen to Liona's words.  Reynard never offered anything to anyone else, this was the first time he had offered anything but the woman refused.  Why didn't he take this chance?  Was she just pretending to look like a golden-hearted woman?

“Try thinking again. I'm pretty sure you'll want something.”

Liona got upset and said “You don't have to pay me. It just so happened that I was there and because of me the little girl ran.  If it wasn't for chasing me, this wouldn't have happened. Maybe it was my destiny to meet him” he sighed “Let him be well. Maybe next time I'm not there to help him.” His head was throbbing again, how could I film in this condition? I forgot that Hiro and Elvano were waiting for me. Surely as they were both anxiously waiting for me, I had to contact them.

She searched where her bag was “What are you looking for?” reynard asked in a cold voice.

“Mobile.”

“Oh...your phone is in the bag, it looks like it went out because it ran out of battery.” said Delvin who had checked Liona's phone to find an emergency contact number.

Liona suddenly worried, Reynard also said “They are already on the way, soon to arrive.  I called him.”

“I mean, I told your friend about your situation. I checked your phone before it went out.  He'll be in a minute.”

 

Liona was relieved now. There was only one name in his contact that Hiro meant this man had already contacted Hiro Abirama. Liona was silent and closed her eyes, the atmosphere became silent none of them intended to start the conversation.  Delvin turned to his older brother who had seen Liona's face unblinkingly. ‘Hem...it looks like Brother Reynard has indeed fallen in love with this woman.’

Suddenly the little voice shouted “Tante beautiful is awake!” it turned out that Felicia woke up and saw Liona who was sitting leaning on the bed. But she came back crying “Huaaa…...Beautiful aunt, I'm so scared.”

Liona was sad to see the little girl cry.  He rubbed the eccil girl's head and said “Ssssttt. Aunty's up, auntie's fine. Look, auntie's okay, isn't she?"

“Tante is sick, see that aunt's head is bandaged..huaaa...hua. I was wrong, I made my aunt sick. Surely the aunt's head is sewn so there are sewing wounds, later the aunt is not beautiful anymore..huaa....huaa...”.

Liona held back a smile ‘Who taught this little girl to talk like that? He patted the side of the empty bed asking Felicia to go up because the girl was still crying sobbing.  “Tante, forgive me yes.” he said softly.

“Iya, darling. Already yes do not cry again later so ugly if crying continues.” persuade Liona to hug the tiny body that is now sitting next to her.

“You love your aunt, don't you?”

“Iya..I love very same aunt pretty.  I don't want aunty sick..huaa...huaaa..

‘Yes, my goodness adorable this little girl.  Her words touched my heart, muttered Liona in her heart.’

“Tante, since my beautiful aunt saved me then I will take responsibility. But since I'm a kid so I'm gonna ask you for the responsibility.  I'm gonna have papa marry a pretty aunt, so I have a mama. I can take care of mom and make mom happy every day.”

“Hah? A—apa? What did he say just now? Ask her father to marry me?” liona said in shock.

“Iya, beautiful aunt.  Aunty's sacrifice I will repay, as my gratitude papa will marry auntie! Want huh? I'm a good boy, I'm not bad either. Aunty must be happy to have a daughter like me,” he said convincing Liona who was still confused did not know what to say.  It's funny this little girl, she says she wants responsibility but because she's a kid so she told her dad to take responsibility.  You little fox! Very cute this little girl but she is adorable.

‘Married herself?

‘His father will marry me? He said his father would be responsible?

Everyone in the room was fixated on looking at Felicia who continued to whine at Liona. He was unwilling to give up, he had to get Liona as his mother, that was his current wish. The room was suddenly silent like a grave and there was no sound.
