CHAPTER 48. REYNARD'S FIERCENESS

“I will work with professionals and will not breach the contract, boss.” Liona said.  Those words made Reynard not like it. ‘He only cares about his contract.’ Liona saw Reynard's expression change after he revealed about his commitment and professionalism on the job, Reynard's face turned flat and cold. Liona was frustrated.  He could not predict the way Reynard thought, his previous gentle demeanor had now drastically turned cold.  Liona just lowered her face.  Because they live in the same complex and are officially dating, Liona cannot refuse when Reynard invites her home.  The atmosphere in the car was tense, no one tried to break the silence.  As the car stopped in front of her house, Liona quickly got out of the car and ran into the house. 

He felt very tense as he felt Reynard's gaze on him piercing like a thorn.  Liona took a deep breath, then sent a message to Miko.  Not long, Miko responded.  “Uncle Reynard and Uncle Delvin are my father's younger brothers.  So they're both my uncles. Understand?”

Liona chokes reading a reply to a message from Miko.  “But your name is Miko?” ask Liona again.  His phone rang there was an incoming call from Miko.  Her voice sounded annoyed “Liona! Why don't you know anything about me? I'm your girlfriend, you know. I used the name Miko as an actor. My full name is Miko Altezza Wilfred.”

“What relationship are you with my two uncles?” miko asked but got no response from Liona. Liona leaned her body against the wall, confused and not knowing what to say. “Why did you suddenly ask about my family? Uh, Liona you haven't answered my question, how did you get to know my uncle? Do you have a relationship with Uncle Reynard?

“He is my boss. I work at Wilfred Media.” Liona replied.

“Only work limited? The rest?”

“What do you mean?” asked Liona annoyed.

“Maybe you guys have a relationship, who know’s.” Miko said.

“Yes. You heard what your uncle said. I am his lover and his future wife.”

“Again I have signed with Wilfred Media.  The contract says that I cannot date anyone during the contract period.  If I violate any of the contents of the agreement then I will have to pay a fine of one hundred billion rupiah!”

“What? What kind of crazy requirement is that? It is impossible for Wilfred media to give such a contract. It's been the twentieth century, everyone is free to make his choice.  How can it ban others from dating, so cruel!” miko said in an angry tone.  Liona just fell silent, she didn't know what to say.  It is also his own fault for agreeing to the content of the agreement.

Goddamnit! If you want to shout and protest, just make sure your uncle makes the contract.  “Miko! I warned you, never bother me again.  If the big boss misunderstands and thinks that we have a relationship or I'm in love, I'll be asked to pay a hundred billion fine.  Money where? And I'm getting married to Reynard!”

Miko didn't respond. 

Unlike the panicked Liona.  Reynard looked grim and his face was cold.  Delvin who understood her brother's feelings, carefully whispered “Sister Reynard, if you always put on a flat face, I'm sure Liona will be frightened.  I'm just your brother who knows you well sometimes gets scared to see your flat face.  Sorry, yes brother. Not that I meant criticizing brother.  If you want to chase after the woman, start smiling and put on a sweet face. Big brother is handsome, it is not difficult to dazzle a woman. We have to think of the right strategy.” said Delvin trying to melt the atmosphere.

“Strategy right?” reynard asked as he tapped his finger in the chair and was immersed in his own thoughts.

“Liona is a single parent and an attractive woman. I'm sure a lot of guys admire him out there.  Currently she is a newcomer actress, once she is famous rest assured that there will be many men who pursue her and do anything to lure her.  The contract agreement that you made will not affect anything later. It would not prevent Liona from not being lured to another man.  You understand what I mean?”

Delvin looked at his brother's face seriously “Sister should be able to win Liona's heart. We can't wait until he turns on us, sis.”  Reynard's expression turned muran.  Liona had already accepted herself and back then she gave Liona some time to adapt as it might be too short of their meeting.  At first Reynard thought let everything go like running water.  Let them know each other and adapt.  Unfortunately, Reynard couldn't wait any longer.  He wanted to tie up Liona immediately.

“Do you think Miko sent the jewelry to Liona?” ask Reynard.

“Yes. Because I had a chance to see his typical chicken claw writing in the box.”  A bad post because it is hard to read.  Abraham Wilfred was the father of Reynard and Delvin. The seventy-two-year-old had three sons. His eldest son was Harris Verino Wilfred from his first wife.  His first wife died when Harris was ten years old.  Two years after the death of his wife Abraham Wilfred married Davina Pristy, mother of Reynard and Delvin.

Although the relationship between Reynard, Delvin and Miko is an uncle and nephew but because of their age is not much different and they grow together eventually they are like brothers. But Reynard was not on good terms with Harris and his wife or Seth.  Only with Miko did they get on good terms.

“Isn't Miko filming in Hong Kong? Why did she suddenly come back and join the crew of the movie “Third Wedding?”

Miko has signed with Wilfred Media but Reynard does not know about it.  “Before brother, I find information first.” said Delvin.

He grabbed his phone and called someone.  How shocked Delvin was to hear the information he received.  “Quickly say what his assistant said?” ask Reynard impatiently.

“According to his assistant Miko, he heard that the girl he liked went home to Jakarta and Miko rushed to finish all the remaining filming and returned as well.”  The girl in question is Liona Sarabella Gantari.  So many offers to play the film but Miko refused it and even received an offer as a supporting role in the film “Third Wedding.”

Delvin prefers Reynard to get Liona over Miko.  Because Miko is the same as Delvin “Playboy” who has a long line of ex-girlfriends.  Reynard was different. For the first time he liked a woman after the death of his wife a few years ago.  Delvin has never seen his brother this enthusiastic, even on his late wife was not so. Delvin wanted to help his brother approach his future wife.  He wanted to be by his sister's side when he stepped into the pelaminan.  Reynard opened the car door and stepped foot into Villa LeGardenia Number 2. “Kak! Brother Reynard, what's brother doing?” I shouted Delvin chasing his brother.
