CHAPTRE 33

I immediately pushed Rain when I heard the sentence he just said.

"What do you mean is asking me to cancel the engagement?!" I poked him.

"After leaving me and making me sad every day, and now you can easily say that?" I screamed in front of Rain. My tears began to wash over my cheeks.

"You should know who got married first. And who has left whom. My heart aches when Rain finds out you have a wife. And all this time only Brother Fatha was always with me."

I cried after the words I just said. Rain's face showed regret. She just kept silent watching me cry out so much.

After that sentence I said, I immediately ran away leaving Rain who was still silent in my room. I ran until I met Bu Mega in the living room.

"What's up Hany? Why are you crying?" ask Bu Mega with a panicked face.

I immediately hugged Bu Mega because her face reminded me of my grandfather. I sobbed in the warm Bu Mega's arms.

"It's been.. It's been. Don't cry anymore. Here let's tell you a story." Ms. Mega also invited me to sit in the living room chair.

"Rain Ma'am, he asked me to call off the engagement" I stammered.

"No idea, Mom. He was so selfish as to want two women once gus. He's married but he's still after me."

"Mom knew Rain had always liked Hany. From childhood she was always eager to tell Mom about Hany. He once said that he wanted to marry Hany when he grew up. But destiny says something else. He had to marry another girl because of a tragedy."

I was a little confused when Bu Mega said the word 'tragedy. Mean what? And what tragedy?

"Carsy told Mom about their marriage. Rain was forced to marry Carsy because Carsy saved his life and broke Carsy's leg." Bu Mega.

"I already know that, Mom. Carsy told me that too."

"Rain is a responsible child. During her time in care she always accompanied Carsy to any activity, and that's what made Carsy fall in love with her." Bu Mega looked serious when she told me about Rain. He explained everything so that my misunderstanding was reduced.

I also listened to all the stories told by Bu Mega. My resentment turned to empathy for Rain. I never thought he was that sick. Even after losing the wholeness of his family he also had to give up his love. And all I can do from the beginning is always blame it.

The conversation between me and Bu Mega ended when Azan Magrib was already reverberating. We went back to our respective destinations. I decided to go back to the room to clean the body. And cool my head which feels very heavy.

We all gathered in the living room that night. No exception Rain who also joined us. Seeing Rain and Brother Fatha not talking to each other brought up the idea in my head to melt the atmosphere.

After agreeing with the decision of the streets, we also get ready to walk through the city. We used Fatha's car for a walk this time.

I also took the front seat next to Brother Fatha. Rain and Carsy were sitting in the back. I took Carsy shopping to a mall in town. Carsy was very excited when he saw various models of dress on display around the mall. He chooses while showing Rain the things he likes.

"Gee.. Why didn't you tell Hany? I can help you pick out a dress." Carsy said with a smile.

"really? Then let's go to the boutique after this." Brother Fatha sounded very excited. I just stayed in his arms. "Please help, Carsy.."
