CHAPTRE 18

Rain kept his promise last night. In the next day we went for a walk around the city of Pekanbaru. We started our journey to the malls around Pekanbaru city. Buy food, clothes, and other accessories.

After shopping, we continued our trip to the cinema. We had a debate when choosing the title of the film. Because our taste is different. After a few minutes of making a choice, the ticket keeper finally suggested us a film title that could make us agree to watch the film.

Time was not felt as Rain and I went around. When Ashar time almost arrived, we also chose to rest in the mosque Mall where we watched. "Before we return to Gramedia first, yes. I'm gonna find a new novel there." Reveal me. Rain simply replied with a nod of his head.

Rows of books neatly arranged on the bookshelf. Various titles are listed on each row of these shelves. I traced every title on that shelf. I wish there was a book that would make me want to buy it.

"Sister! Any recent novels, brother?" Ask the shopkeeper.

"New one, Dek. That's the one on the front row at the end there." The brother replied while directing me to the place he called.

I followed him until he stopped at a bookcase where the sequence filled the same book title.

"This, Deck. This novel was only printed last month and immediately became a bestseller. The story is very exciting, Brother only to the reading bill."

"Oh, so yes, brother."

I picked up one of the books on the shelf and read the synopsis that was behind the book. From the synopsis I read, this novel seems interesting.

"Then I'll take one, brother." My word.

"Yes, please take it directly to the cashier."

I also paid for the novel at a set price. After the cashier gave me the package of books, I realized that Rain had disappeared. I walked around the bookcase to find him. And after passing through several bookshelves, then I found Rain who was busy reading a book that I did not know what the title was.

"It turns out you're here. I thought you were gone because you were bored." My word that breathes a sigh of relief.

"Eh, Han. I think this book is for you."

Rain showed me the book he was reading. I also read a few lines in the book.

"It's a chemistry book, right?" My toot.

"Yes. This book is very practical. It can make us understand the learning quickly." Clearly Rain. "It's really, really good, Han. I bought one for you, yeah."

"Eh, no need" I haven't had time to finish the sentence Rain has gone to the cashier's table. I chased him to where he paid.

"Eh, Rain. No, let me just pay." My bargain.

"It's okay, Han. Consider it a gift from me." Said Rain. "I want you to study this book seriously, okay?"

I just nodded.

Rain paid the book to the cashier. While I only pay attention to the transactions made by Rain. I actually feel bad for Rain. Given the price of the book he bought is quite expensive. But that should not be thought of. After all, it wasn't me who asked Rain to buy it.

"Well, can I borrow the pen?"

The cashier gave Rain a pen.

"Eh, what's Rain doing?" My toot.

"Look at it later." The answer.

I watched what Rain was doing. He opened the first page of the book he had just bought. After that, he wrote something on the book.

"Thank you, yeah, Bang."

"Yes, you're welcome."

The cashier's brother received the pen that Rain handed over.

"This is the book don't forget to study, yes!" Rain handed the book to me.

I also took the book out of his hand. I flipped over the cover of the book Chemistry, and found a piece of writing Rain had just written.

"What the hell, Rain. Lebai knows!" I grinned with a smile still left on my lips.

Rain spoke with conviction. Because he already knew that I would do things like he said.

Until entering college I still use the book Rain gave. Even though the color is a little dull, but the cover is still well preserved so as not to tear. I feel that the book is very meritorious in my journey of success. Even though I'm working now, I still read Rain's book. Because I know, everything Rain left behind is a trust I have to keep.

The rest of my vacation I spent taking care of Grandma in the hospital. Grandma's condition is getting better by the day. Even doctors reported that Grandma could be outpatient in a few days. Grandma claimed that this happened because of do'a and the presence of family members who always take care of her.

Rain and I just got out of Grandma's nursery. As we walked, we passed my cousin who had just returned from Bandung.

"Yes!" Sweepings.

"Fajri?" I answered with wonder.

"Hany, how are you?" Ask with a cheerful face.

"I'm good. You?"

Fajri shook my hand without permission.

"I'm good, Han. I miss you." He said with passion.

I also cleared my throat because of his words that might offend the girl next to him.

"No problem, he's understanding. He knows you anyway." Fajri.

"When will I introduce him?" Gurauku's.

"Yes-yes." Fajri looked at the girl. "It's Sandra. Hem.." Fajri looks shy. With a smile she said, "He's my girlfriend."

I just smiled and looked at my cousin's expression. He looks very excited.

"Oh.. So she's your girlfriend. By the way this is an import from Bandung, huh?" Manya joke.

"Eh, you think he's a thing!" Tukas Fajri joked. I laughed too. "No, he's the guy here. Just met yesterday." Fajri. The girl pinched Fajri's arm.

"Kok, you're so brave, yes, take someone's child away. Even know him just yesterday." My word.

"It's her own fault why she wanted to be taken away." We laughed too.

"Who, by the way, is this? Don't tell me he's my rival?"

Fajri asked about Rain who had been listening to our conversation.

"What the hell, you. It's Rain, you know. Who used to go to Grandma's house." I clearly.

Fajri looks a little glazed over his memory. Then, after a while, he realized who Rain was.

Fajri also grabbed Rain's body with a hug. Rain returned the embrace.

"No, long time no see, bro. Where's the school now?" Ask Fajri like to his best friend.

"Where, Bro?" Ask Fajri. "Bro has now moved to Thailand, huh?"

Rain just smiled.

Once again Fajri hugged Rain's body. And this time it was followed with a soft pat on Rain's back.

"Then we'll be dinner tonight, yeah. I will be the deal. You guys should come, okay!"

"God willing.. We'll come." My speech.

"Yes, we want to see Grandma first. See you tonight."

Fajri and Sandra went to Grandma's nursery. While Rain and I continued our goal to go to the hotel to pick up Father's phone that was left behind. Suddenly my phone felt like it was shaking from inside the bag. I stopped walking and checked my phone. There's a message coming in. And that's from Brother Fatha.
