I want to Find Him

I want to Find Him
CHAPTRE 14

The blue light illuminated the street I was walking with Sister Fatha. Blowing breeze adds to the atmosphere of the night becomes more peaceful. The sky was bright with a sprinkling of stars and black clouds surrounding it. And the reflection of moonlight in the middle of the river gave a beautiful impression of its own for me to look at.

For the first time I came here. I've heard of this new bridge. Some of my friends like Rasel, Melsi, and friends who have other lovers have come here. Because this bridge is also used as a place to spend time by teenage couples. In addition to them, there are also young men who cluster on the edge of the bridge just to spend time with their friends. Like those around us. I see a lot of students from our school. However, because so many people, so they do not realize that I and Brother Fatha are around them.

I turned towards Brother Fatha who was standing beside me. He was staring at the stretch of river in front of us. His face was flat without expression. However, if he looked more carefully he seemed to be agitated. I don't understand why he suddenly looks sad. We were with him before and he looked very ordinary. Now I'm very curious about what he's thinking. I also chose to talk to him.

"Silver looks agitated. Does Brother Fatha have a problem?" I tried to speak a little softly so that he did not feel too disturbed.

He looked at me and smiled. "No. Brother no problem" he replied. Though I knew very well from his gaze he had a problem. Even from the way Sister Fatha answered my question I knew she had not just one problem.

"Come, Brother. I'm a friend of Brother's now. I'd like to hear Brother's curse even if we have to be here all night." I tried to comfort him. He just grinned, then turned his gaze towards the river again. Brother Fatha threw a rough breath before starting to tell a story. He hesitates to say the word to start his story. After a while, he said something.

"Actually Brother just broke up with Sister's boyfriend." Suddenly I was immediately shocked to hear the words that came out of the mouth of Brother Fatha. I didn't think she had a boyfriend. I was silent waiting for Brother Fatha to continue her sentence. "We've been dating since Junior High. More precisely it has been almost three years. But, for some reason Karin suddenly decided on Brother. Brother does not even know what is wrong Brother," said Brother Fatha.

"Maybe Big Brother got it wrong with Karin. But Brother didn't realize it." I tried to provoke all his problems.

"That's impossible. We share stories all the time. But nothing could make Karin angry. He knows everything you do every day. In fact, Brother taught you that he knows."

"Keep what made her want to break up with Big Brother?" My toot.

Brother Fatha exhaled. "I don't think he's got a new girlfriend. That's why he chose to dump Brother." He looks very sad. Very profound sadness. Even to the point that he wouldn't look me in the face when he spoke. I feel sorry for him.

I also stroked Brother Fatha's shoulder which was a little higher than mine. He looked at my hand that was moving on his shoulder. Then he looked at me smiling. "Sister must be strong. If Brother is a match with him, I'm sure one day you will be rediscovered," I said. She smiles. "You're like the ones in the movies." Said Brother Fatha who was starting to return to normal.

"But it's true, right?"

"Yes, his name is also a soul mate. If you do not meet how can be a mate," said Brother Fatha.

"Talking big brother kayak ngawur, is that it? I'm a crazy person who broke up, "my tease.

"Huh, could you, yeah.." Brother Fatah also rubbed my head to make my hijab messy.

"Sister Fatha.. Stopit! My hijab is not neat, no." Snapped me while stopping her hand that was still wriggling in my head. He also stopped his actions. Then looked at me with a worried look.

"Huh.." Soft leg.

"Hum?"

"Promise me you should always be close to me no matter what," he said.

I smiled too. "God willing. I'll always be the closest brother." He was smiling too. I don't understand why Brother Fatha said that. But I promised myself that I would make Brother Fatha one of the most important people in my life.

"Yes already. Let's go home. It was late at night and this neighborhood had started to be no match for Hany. Brother will take you home."

"Sister.. Sis! Wake up! Why is Ina sleeping here?" I asked while waking up Ina. He got up from the sofa and rubbed his face. "Same mother Dad hasn't come home yet, has he?" I asked Kak Ina who was still half conscious.

"They went downtown. Your grandmother went to the hospital." Sahut Kak Ina who still squinted his eyes.

"What's? Grandma's in the hospital again? Then why wasn't I invited?" I asked firmly.

"You, not at home. They were in a hurry. I can't wait for Adek to come home." Brother Ina yawned. "Yes, change clothes! Wash your face, brush your teeth, keep washing your feet. After that, go to sleep, yes. I couldn't stand it, I wanted to sleep. You've been dating for a long time." Cerocos Kak Ina is still closing her eyes.

"Ih, Brother Ina sooty. Use English all over again." He just ignored me and went to his room. As for me, choosing to replace Kak Ina and lying on the sofa while playing my phone.

The sun shines on a clear Sunday morning. The sound of the jogging joggers' shoes echoed across the street. The clock is at half-eight. But I still keep twitching on a broomstick that I had been swinging. The joggers passed through my house. I stopped for a moment to look at those who were only men. Some of them I know, because they are my classmates. One of them greeted me. And I just returned with a friendly smile. They're almost away. I decided to continue my work again.

"Your friend, huh?" I was shocked to find Rain's presence. He stood straight behind me as he stared at the joggers leaving. I tried to calm myself down before answering her question. "Yes. Called Ilham. We are in a class" I replied. Rain nodded in understanding. Then he looked at me with a strange smile.

"Why you?" I began to feel confused about her behavior.

"We go for a walk, yuk. I'm bored at home, so go here." Said Rain with his annoyed expression.

I thought for a moment to consider Rain's invitation. I'm leaving, but I can't leave the house when Kak Ina isn't home.

"I'm leaving, anyway. But I don't want to leave the house without someone to look after. We better wait for Ina to come home first."

"Where is Ina going?"

"To market. Soon also go home, really," I said as I continued my sweep.

Rain remained standing in his place for a while. Then he picked up a trash can lying on the grass. He approached me to quote the dry leaves I had gathered. I also helped him to put the leaves in the trash. After all the leaves were finished in quotation, Rain dumped them in the garbage dump behind the house.

I unwinded me by sitting on the porch. While breathing the fresh morning air, I straightened my legs so that the taste of the peg was somewhat reduced. Rain emerged from the corner of the house carrying an empty trash can. He put it where the barrel was before. Rain sat beside me with his legs straightened on the grass. He looked at me who was also looking at him. I smiled too. "Thank you, for your help" I said. Rain returned my smile. "Together," he replied. Then we turned our eyes away.

I also felt the heat on the back of my neck. My sweat that had been pouring out had soaked my scalp. My hair feels so bad and it makes me very uncomfortable. I also took off my messy hair tie to fix it. Then, I tied it back with a bun bond so that my neck can cool again.

I looked back at Rain. He was looking down at the street that looked lonely. I know he's thinking something. But I refuse to ask. But my curiosity can't stand it. I finally decided to ask.

"Rain, you got a problem?" I asked in a calm voice. Rain simply fell silent and remained staring straight at that direction. "If there's a problem I can help you," I bargained softly. He looked at me with a serious look.  "May I ask you something?" He asked after a few seconds of silence. I nodded hesitantly while waiting for a question from him. "Who were you last night?"
