Chapter 09: Against the Boss

Together with Irena's shout, she stepped forward first, a two-handed drawn sword which flaunted a shiny sharp blade.

Just as the snake was sending a whip through its tail it was able to avoid it by bending low and bending its knees to make it jump in front of the snake.

Grey clearly praised how he reacted and also the precise way of anticipating the enemy's attack, a fortune that the city of Risol has adventurers like him.

Not wanting to be complacent with the abilities of others, Grey also stepped forward. He dragged the tip of his sword on the ground then gave a coincidental wound as Irena slashed the head of the snake.

One head was cut off and the other head started targeting Irena as the main goal without forgetting the whereabouts of Grey as well. He held back the tail that stuck out at him just to make him push up to hit the iron door earlier. Irena moved quickly as the head continued to follow her movements, the head spitting out flames that devoured the surroundings with heat.

"He's not something I can beat easily."

Grey searches for some useful items to confront his enemy on top of a pile of treasures lying just like that.

"Oi, oi, help me out here too, it's getting messy here?"

"Hold on a minute and remember don't use magic."

"Why would I use magic if I couldn't use it!" frustrated screams.

It was one of the plans of the Undead King for adventurers to overcome. He's really sneaky. Grey threw a lot of stuff in his hand, he checked the chest until he could see a parchment on the bottom. He peeked at the contents and there was a pattern of crop magic circles.

Parchments like this are sold in the city at high prices but now finding them is called high luck, the two snake heads were slashed and the rest started banging themselves against Irena's body until she was thrown into the wall.

Irena was used to fighting with her group she obviously couldn't move properly.

Grey who noticed it took one gold coin then threw it towards the head of the snake to distract them.

The snake began to move quickly on Grey, at such a close distance he rolled to the side that his entire head smashed into the wall, and at the same time he used the parchment to create dozens of plant tendrils that came out of it to wrap around the snake's entire movement.

Just as Grey was about to make a move, Irena first jumped up, she used the Spining Slash back to cut off the entire head with one move.

The head of the snake fell down while he stood up full of blood stuck to his body.

"It's disgusting."

For their boss it would take a very long time to be able to reappear in the dungeon.

"It's the first time I've seen a parchment."

"This is what I'm waiting for."

Half will be given to the guild in an attempt to strengthen the city while the other half will be split in half between Grey and Irena.

"Although it's been shared, it's still a lot. I'll use it for shopping."

Their quest was well completed.
