Being Strong On Your Own

Being Strong On Your Own
Chapter 01: A Loner

As soon as the figure of the young man appeared, everyone instantly stopped talking.

However unlike them, she wore all-black clothes with a dark black helmet covering her entire face, she also wore a tattered camping coat as well as a large sword whose handle was wrapped around a chain.

Almost everyone could not recall his real face yet they were sure it was a handsome and full of light, but considering how several months ago he lost his members, it was hard to imagine it again.

A woman waiting for the counter reprimanded him in annoyance.

"I told you Grey, stop looking like this. Try to wear clothes like you normally would, you scare everyone."

"I'm sorry, but this equipment is more convenient for me."

The counter woman just let out a slow sigh, she was the one who was close to Grey as her in charge, she said, at that time he was so anxious and also happy because he still survived even so what was lost from Grey was no longer returnable.

"Do you want to take another quest?"

"Well, give me a volunteer quest."

As the name implies the volunteer quest is a no-wage quest, where anyone who has no money can put a request in the guild, no one takes it except Grey because it makes the guild put admiration for him.

He would only take quests normally when his money was completely depleted.

"Please."

"Well, thank you Mary."

"Listen to Grey as sick as anything and suffering you don't even think about ending it all, you have to come back safely."

"I know, don't worry I still carry my friends' dreams of becoming top-tier adventurers."

"so."

"See you later."

A large-bodied adventurer blocked his steps.

"You're so arrogant, you've become adventurous but you never get along with us, do you think that you're better than all of us."

"Stop, you don't understand" prevent the person sitting closest to her.

"Whispering, this person is just an iron-level adventurer, is it your whole being afraid of him. I am a silver adventurer which he might be able to compare with, do you think you are the only one who has lost huh."

Grey just walked by without listening to him.

"The mouse of your own life."

He kept walking until he disappeared from behind the guild door, Grey doesn't mean he doesn't want to hang out with them just that he finds it hard to remember his friends.

He remembered how to chat and joke with each other, but when the wave of monsters happened that was waiting for them was a death. Before the wave comes back, he must grow stronger or more lives will be his victims.

She read the quest Mary gave where it was a request from a little girl sitting in front of her house hugging her knees, as she looked at the figure of Grey she stood happily.

"Are you an adventurer?"

"Well, I'm running a volunteer quest."

"Thank God, please help my mother, she's sick and someone has to get her medicine."

"I can see it first."

In the room was a nurse and a woman lying on the bed.

"What kind of plant should I take?"

The nurse replied.

"This woman's blue Lily flower has been affected by the zombie plague, the flower has been difficult to find and I'm sure the only place is in the mountain of merapi guarded by a dragon, do you want to take it?"

A zombie outbreak is a plague that occurs during the first wave, this outbreak appears when the zombies are defeated where the curse energy from it spreads into the air and then sucked humans, that's why when fighting with them there must be someone who has holy magic to neutralize it or the result will be like this.

The zombie outbreak will erode the health of the infected then die and turn them into new zombies. Sometimes they will be killed before that happens.

"I've received the quest so it's clear I'll take it."

"You alone?"

"Him alone is more enough."

Grey turned around after stroking the little boy's hair which left confusion after.

"Please save my mother."

"Well, I'll be back, be a good girl and wait here" Grey's voice was filled with conviction and determination, he had always hoped that one day he could kill the Undead King and restore everything at his disposal.
