Being Strong On Your Own
Chapter 27: The Place in the North

He was not given a chance to strike back, wounds were scratched on his body from Grey or Sartina slashes.

Angrily he swung the sword from top to bottom but neither Grey nor Sartina were there.

"What?!"

They took a sideways direction, about to chop off his head, January holding back Sartina's slash while for Grey's slash he flared his hand to catch her.

"Haha this is just a fight, I'm really bored. Fighting means risking my life between both sides until one of them dies, so the slaughter I'm doing will be much, much more, unlike killing the Asteria kingdom they just resigned with their deaths."

Sartina stared with a sharp look.

"Basic Fuck! I'll kill you."

With that hatred he slashed the hand of his enemy, before January could react he realized that Grey was no longer holding his sword.

"Huh? Why is everything upside down."

He had just realized, something simple that he could estimate without difficulty, his head had been severed with a dagger that Grey was holding.

"We were ready before you came here, this is the human power you underestimate."

With the leader's gradual defeat, the number of skulls began to decrease and finally completely wiped out, the disciples trained by Arina began to emerge to help with the cleansing, as well as the, such as treating the injured and also giving holy magic so that these corpses do not come back to life and even burn the colleagues who have been killed.

Anabeth walked up to Grey.

"Are you okay?."

"I'm fine, we're not really fighting with them in full."

"Me too, we must prepare for the next battle there is no time to be sad."

It hurts to see how the fellow who had lived together with them died, but this is the only way to survive. For the sake of those who died before them and for the sake of mankind they must step forward, that is what Sartina now thinks.

The next day, in a room filled only by Grey and Flarisa they chatted with each other.

Grey recounts how life in his kingdom was particularly in the border town as well as how the people in the capital were flooded with extravagant life.

While he and everyone were death-defying, they always partied that's how Grey described his kingdom, but not everything. Grey was sure that there were even some people who were against him even though he doubted that they knew about the Undead King's head hidden there.

On the other hand Flarisa also explained about the state of the previous king who had died, by the way Flarisa was not a real member of the royal family. He was only chosen by the inhabitants to fill the place after all the king had died before he had a bloodline because that was for him a thing like a leader burdening him.

Nevertheless, now he made up his mind to stand up and fight with his partner.

He will restore Vardes' glory even though he was previously just a commoner.

Now Grey is asking an important question he has long wanted to know about an ancient weapon that could destroy the red moon.

Flarisa silently thought about it for a moment then said after finding confidence in his mind.

"If it's not wrong that far north there's a place that's used for weapons development, I'm sure that's where the weapons are."

"We'll be there soon?"

"Does it have to be that fast?"

"Yes, not only is Risol in danger."
