Chapter 24: A Hard Decision

Grey gave the defeated Boars to the female knights to be processed into food and distributed to everyone in the city while he returned to the palace to give the herbs to Arina.

Afterwards he and Anabeth waited in a different room, Grey was speechless and just sat on the sofa with a hard look.

"Grey?" anabeth's voice brought her into reality.

"I decided to stay here Anabeth, without us this kingdom would be destroyed."

"Is it that bad?"

"Yes, we still have a lot of adventurers but here it is very different, and it seems like the Undead King has realized one thing, rather than chasing his head he wants to destroy the thing protected by king Neira."

"Impossible?"

"I've asked the details to the knights, before this place was targeted by Asteria first who received it, the kingdom was destroyed."

Silence between the two.

"Wherever we stay I don't mind, as long as it's with Grey I'll always be a place for me."

Before long Arina walked in from the door and sat on the sofa with her legs wide, she was wearing pants so it didn't matter.

The knight was confused.

"Oh well, my name is Sartina I am the knight commander, I came here because the banquet is ready to be served please follow me after that we will show you the rooms that you can use."

"It just so happens that my stomach is hungry."

Grey did what he said until both Arina and Sartina fell silent.

Grey thinks he'll take off his helmet while eating, sleeping and bathing.

After eating Arina and Anabeth went to the room they could use, for Grey he had a room for himself.

He laid himself on the bed and was shocked by it.

This was the first time he felt that the bed should be this thick.
