Chapter 70: Behind the Hidden Truth

Upon his return to the palace, Olivier slightly scolded them.

"You did your best, even on behalf of me who sent you, I thank you."

There was no utterance Olivier could mention other than such utterances.

Arina and Grey just smiled and said goodbye to come back.

"It's almost evening, you can stay one more night in my palace."

"No, we've been here too long somehow I'm starting to miss my wife and son."

"So, I can't force anymore then. You're all always welcome here, it's okay to come even if there's no particular need."

"That goes for you too Olivier" Grey added before shaking warm hands with him.

Arina uses her wand to activate her teleportation magic until they appear in their own palace along with a barrel containing many fish.

"Ah, I better move all these fish to the pond immediately."

Grey and Via were just watching him from a distance.

"We're in."

"I want to eat something sweet."

"Well, let's ask them to make enough of it."

"That's great."

A few days later Irena visited the Grey Kingdom. He was now a royal commander as well as an adventurer as well.

"Don't tell me you came to challenge me again?" grey asked in a bit of panic.

"No, I just came for a vacation. Actually the queen also wanted to come here unfortunately she has a job that can not be ignored."

"I can understand that."

Sometimes Grey has the same thing.

"I've heard it, have the five demons created by the undead king been defeated?"

"True, it was Arina and I who did it alone."

"That's a relief, I thought those demons were so powerful they were hard to overcome but it seemed Grey was much stronger than before."

He just smiled wryly in return.

Irena cleared her throat for a moment before continuing.

"It's interesting."

"Ah yes, she is actually a human like us unfortunately she fell in the dark magic and ended up being like that."

"He turned into a demon."

"Yes, he was originally a king in a certain kingdom, as a result of his mistake his entire kingdom was destroyed and left to himself, he was trying to achieve immortality but that immortality made him so."

"If so then the skull creature, and also the creature we are fighting is its own inhabitants."

"True, he turned them around like that. I found the ruins of his research, it looks like he tried to take the blood of every vampire by forming a massive vampire hunt, of all the hunters only one survived."

Grey cut.

"Dad Anabeth."

"True, Anabeth was from the country and also there also had a population of the elf race."

"So then, do you think the elf race is still out there."

"I don't know either, but I hope there are some survivors even if there are very few, which is why in the near future I want to create a special team to look for them."

Grey nodded in agreement before Sartina entered the room.

"Your highness, I brought data from the new knights who will be stationed in every village and town we make, they live there so they don't mind accepting it."

"Wait a minute Sartina, tomorrow you take a vacation is not.. is there a certain event?"

"Nothing, I just want to go to my parents' graves."

"Then you can take Irena too."

"No, no, it must be troublesome.I'll interrupt your day off," Irena was slightly embarrassed.

"What's wrong, I'm happy if someone wants to accompany me."

Grey sees the two departing from behind the door and hopes they can make friends in the future.
