Being Strong On Your Own

Being Strong On Your Own
Chapter 40: Undead Mining

The problem of food was overcome thanks to Arina's ability, now the knights were able to give fruits, vegetables and a little meat to the other two cities without inflaming the capital, he said, now all that remains is to strengthen the defense system.

Grey wakes up from his bed with two beautiful women next to him. Flarisa and Anabeth. He woke up slowly so as not to wake them up before finally being able to get out of his room.

"They've been working hard to rebuild the capital, they'd better sleep a little longer" he said inwardly before walking into Arina's private room.

The special room is just his working room.

He looked messy with paper and disheveled hair.

"Ugh is it morning?"

"Like that."

Arina is a person whom Grey relies on, if she needs advice or opinion Arina is the right person.

After she tidied her hair she sat face to face, Eir appeared with tea that he brewed for both of them. At this hour Via is always in the flower garden because they are not too worried about it.

"Do you need anything else?"

"Not really, I was just wondering if we should use a weapon like this."

Grey pulled out a long-barreled rifle.

"I forgot about it, if I saw it it was indeed the best weapon.we could give the equipment to the female knight."

"So you don't care if this thing is used?"

"Well how else? That's what's needed for us right now, which is to survive any attack that comes."

Grey feels that way too.

The first thing they had to do was take the undead-controlled mining, there a place that could be used to make gunpowder, its existence was indispensable.

With their female knight army already besieging the area, Via turns into a sword and is now in Grey's hands.

Arina and Sartina nodded towards him.

"Let's break out."

"Good."

They rang the drums of war and immediately shot towards the undead which was completely a skull. Unprepared, they were easily eliminated.

The knights who were able to use holy magic immediately purified them from being able to come back to life before following the others into the mines.

The floor itself is only five floors, and each floor is quite strong. Some of the skulls looked to be pacing with their work, some were pushing carts or digging, some were watching as guards, some were, at first glance they are like humans in general but of course they are just undead no more and better to be exterminated when the opportunity arises.

Grey slashed a few skulls in front of him so scattered, he could use his own holy magic because his movements were much faster than those of the knights.

Arina shot fireballs and Sartina slashed at them while running, dozens of skulls not wrinkled as they were obliterated, some were able to strike back using their weapons but did not provide fatal wounds for anyone.

Silently Grey seemed happy to see their growing abilities. They continue their journey to the next floor against the same enemy until the skulls establish themselves like a blockade to withstand the onslaught of Grey forces.

Long enough for them to break through but they still managed to do it.

Via turned into a bigger sword and with a horizontal slash he swept out the newly arrived skull. Everything went well even to the last floor.

This mine is also full of crystal rocks that are quite favorable for the future.
