Being Strong On Your Own

Being Strong On Your Own
Chapter 30: The Rebellion

The knights lunged towards the two of them, Arina cast a spell with language that was difficult to understand, while Grey protected her from anything approaching.

Grey holds their swords and kicks their bodies back, walking only for a few seconds until Arina completes the spell and then they fall asleep.

No one who moved in the slightest made Nile look surprised, even so he swallowed his shock to attack the two.

The attack from him is being held by Grey, who creates a loud bang.

Nile drew his sword then slashed down with a few side slashes that blocked easily before the two of them kept a distance from each other then spun each other around.

"Do I have to use my magic to bring him down?" ask Arisa.

"No, you better go with Anabeth and Eir. I'll catch up."

"All right."

Arisa ran away leaving both of them.

"Why did you betray Neira's kingdom?"

"still asking? If you live on the border you'll also choose a path like mine."

Nile furrowed his brows then he jumped to slash, Grey did not hold it but dodged to the side before replying with a diagonal slash.

It was a bit of a slash on Nile's shoulder or to be honest Grey did it on purpose, when everyone was lazing around Grey was always fighting hard to be strong all by himself, knights were indeed strong but not as strong as the monsters he had faced all this time.

Grey moved forward with several slashes following him, his movement like a man dancing through the air which left Nile cornered back, even though he did not allow Grey to become a dominant, Nile also survives to deliver the same attack at the same tempo until the two of them hit each other's swords at such a close distance that they can feel a puff of breath at each other.

"I wonder what kind of face is behind that helmet?"

"I'm not generous to show it to people like you."

The Nile sword began to glow which made Grey have to jump back, it was not magic but spirit power.

At first glance he clearly had a spirit of light.

The Nile swung its sword creating a crescent-shaped slash of light that lunged forward, there was no time to dodge it as Grey chose to hold it until it reflected it to the side.

It looks like a crack in Grey's sword blade. One more time he resisted the same attack, it would crush him easily.

"You have a good weapon, why don't you use that on your men instead of using a weapon from this place?"

"If I could also wish to do so, unfortunately the ones who can use spirit are only the ones who are loved by the spirit, those who cannot can't can't help but do so."

"That's new knowledge for me, so why do you want the gun?"

"In the capital there have been rebels and we have become two camps now."

"By the border soldiers?"

"Not just between nobles."

Grey was a little surprised, this weapon would be used to kill humans again especially among the nobles.

Nile continued.

"Risol city is indeed the most powerful city that is able to withstand the onslaught of the second wave, do you know how the other city?"

"No, we're not strong.we've lost everyone fighting on the front lines."

"But you're still defending the city, but what about the other border towns?"

"They were penetrated" said Grey hesitated.
