Chapter 21: The Headless Devil

Inside the room was quite faint, a headless body seemed to be sitting on his throne, he just moved his conical fingers without being able to speak or do anything else, it was because he did not have a head that even so he was still alive was the thing that could be deduced how people saw him. His body covered in heavy armor showed how strong he was even from his physique.

A woman who has a merger between humans and birds starts giving reports for her, she is a Harpy, how she still communicates with him is also still questionable.

"The second wave had enough of an impact on the Neira kingdom, if it only attacked them we could break through their border region."

In response to Harpy's words, the headless figure slowly shook his hand.

The harpy saluted before summoning a werewolf wearing black armor with a giant hammer that he carried on his shoulder.

"What task have I come to now?"

"Lord Undead King wants you to destroy Vardes, you can bring as many troops as you want."

"Understanding I will destroy all mankind there, if it doesn't work my name is not January."

He left after giving low respect.

Elsewhere, Grey and Anabeth protested how they should sleep together in one room. While Arina just crossed her arms while in front of the door.

"I'm sorry, but there are only two rooms, one kitchen and one bathroom. Not that you're a couple's husband and wife."

It's true that Anabeth used to tease Grey occasionally but if things were like this, even for her it was too much.

"I'll just sleep in the living room" Grey's remark saved the situation.

He's a normal guy so there's no way something like that doesn't happen when he's with a woman like Anabeth, Arina chose to let the situation go that way after all seeing an awkward partner have her own charm.

Arina is a highly insightful witch but she also has a tendency to see many other people's expressions, all this time he had only lived as a fan of books and there he could not see what was shown before his eyes.

Yep, that's how someone appreciates their feelings of love, in other words Arina is just a romance novel maniac.

"You're supposed to kiss, push Anabeth against the wall and start fumbling with her."

Both of them shouted at the same time.

"Why should we do it?"

"In this book most couples are like that."

Anabeth closed her eyes spontaneously as she was shown a suspicious book.

It is not a book worth looking at or reading for minors.

In the end Grey sleeps as he planned and everyone has a good, peaceful bedtime.
