Tracing the dense forest, a throwing knife was aimed right in front of Grey's movement. He dodged it as thin as paper and looked up where a person resembling a bat demon had perched on a tree branch.
"Good move, you don't seem to be human either."
Grey did not reply to his words but instead used fireball magic to shoot him from below until the bat came down following him.
"You're one of the undead king's commanders?"
"Fast, it seems like one of you killed a Harpy, he got so angry that he sent me to kill all of you."
Grey thinks maybe the one who beat him is Irena. Anyone as long as it could weaken the undead king then it was all a human advantage.
Grey darted forward while giving a slash, his enemy the devil bat avoided him and then gave a kick in the stomach, not wanting to be thrown, Grey strengthened his footing and slashed back.
The wound slashed on the bat's face, and it responded by giving a slash through its claws.
Grey held him down with a sword then charged back until the demon bat flew into the sky.
"Your attacks won't reach me."
"Who's word."
"What?!"
Grey grows wings on his back and then darts forward, in the air they both attack and defend alternately which creates a dazzling flash of light.
"While you can fly, your speed is still slow, you can compensate for me."
Grey's wings changed, his right wing was a wing of light while the other wing was a bat's wing.
"That wing, vampire wings."
Before the demon bat could move a few slashes cut through his body quickly until the piece of meat fell to the ground.
In the past demon bats were vampire servants, obviously they could not be compared to vampires themselves.
Grey lands his leg back and Via turns into his form again.
"People would have suspected that the master had suddenly disappeared."
"I'll look for mushrooms as an excuse."
At the very least Grey wanted to keep everyone calm in this forest, when he returned he was asked many questions.
"I just took the mushrooms."
From the storage ring he brought up many stacks of them.
"Because a lot of time I've forgotten, let's eat this."
Everyone was shocked at Grey's statement.
"That means eaten raw?"
"Yep, this can also be eaten raw but if you don't like it I'll process it."
"Please," replied Sartina limp.
This army is filled with women they tend not to dare to eat something strange.
"Ah right, let's cook with snails and spiders."
"Don't do it" shouted everyone.
In the evening they have a comfortable place and good food, after this they will join the group Irena and should be one step away they can face the undead king.
That morning the Greys were ready to return to their task, after tidying up their tent they would move north and there would be another battle they would do.
In front of them a tent was clearly visible, Irena and all her troops had welcomed Grey with a handshake.
"Your guys are finally coming."
"Well, let's beat the undead king and humanity can go back to what it used to be."
"Of course, you must be tired now just rest first and then someone will call you for a meeting."
Everyone nodded in agreement. The Irena group filled with veteran adventurers they were a group that would really be of great help in this war.
Moments later, Arina's forces, which had previously split with the Greys, also appeared, different from the two groups whose entire army was carrying firearms.
"Ugh, it looks like Grey came here first when I wanted to surprise him" he said.
