Being Strong On Your Own
Chapter 37: The Third Wave

When the shopkeeper's grandmother tapped her several times, the sword glowed then broke into light and turned into a 10 cm tall girl, her face resembled an elf of small size.

"Sick, you granny stinks the ground."

"Hoh, you're talking rudely to the old man, how about I boil you."

"Ciii."

He tried to hide in Grey's arms, the little girl had long black hair without any wings as well as wearing a white one piece dress.

"Sir, do something to this crazy grandma."

"Master?"

Grey tilted his head, Arina who had already chosen what she was going to buy also approached.

"Hoh, she's a spirit, I rarely see her."

"Stop don't touch me lascivious woman."

"His body is cute but his words are cruel."

"That fits the owner" the grandmother added.

Grey smiled bitterly and chose to ignore his words.

"I don't think I did any contract with you?"

"What do you mean sir, if someone manages to kill the previous owner then I will directly change hands, that also applies to the previous owner."

"Could it be Nile?"

"Yes, he's even more ruthless than anyone. For the sake of getting me he could kill his own teacher."

Arina furrowed her brows.

"I think that's called the dark side of nobility."

"So your name?"

"My name is Via, from now on I will serve you, so I hope not to keep me in the storage ring again."

Grey nodded small.

"What if I use you and then you're ruined, what happens?"

Grey did not want to make it as a weapon if it meant putting this little girl in a dangerous situation, previously the crushed Grey sword was not something strange if it would also one day befall Via.

"If I am destroyed I will only become light then reshape into a sword, although I am sure I cannot be destroyed just like that, could it be that master is worried about me, whoaa! I'm loved," she replied as she hugged herself while wriggling.

Arina looked at him cynically.

"I bought this grandma."

"It costs 10 gold coins."

"It's expensive" cut Grey Lemas.

"No, if somewhere else I'm sure it costs more than that."

"You're good at judging the looks of it."

"I'm a witch, too."

Grey did not find the parchment he was looking for even so at least he got a water parchment capable of filling dry wells or so on.

When he came out of the shop Arina put her hand on his waist while puffing her chest.

"Now is the time to eat, Grey do you have a recommendation for a good place in town?"

"Across the street there's a satay salesman, you wanna try."

"Well satay? Let's buy it all."

Grey hopes he doesn't spend his money too much.

The night as expected red moon has been created. While all the adventurers were waiting outside the city the monsters began to arrive.

As they got closer to the trap that everyone had previously set doing their job well. Some monsters fell into the hole under which were placed sharp bamboo, some were hit by explosions and some were shot by magic and arrows from a distance.

Arina pointed her staff up and from there dozens of fire resembling meteor shards rained down on the monsters mercilessly.

Previously, the top-ranked adventurers had been killed and left only the adventurers below, if fighting them was certain to lose.

Irena reported the situation.

"They keep coming, there's a lot of them."

"Since the population of another border town has been evacuated, the attack is on us completely."

"You're even calm at a time like this," as Irena's words of light seemed to flash from a distance.

It resembled a comet that was thrown into the air or rather a bullet.

"That?"

The first shot created a crack in the sky, the second shot shattered it until a mirror-like crystal spark fell down.

The moon that always looks red now shows the true white color.
